Legend has it that Applebloom never dug that well and there’s a sign letting all future generations of Apples know where it is supposed to be and who’s laziness is responsible for the extra half mile they need to go for water as they work.
The writing, the delivery, even the voice itself all remind me of Lil Bubby Child. Did a double take thinking it actually WAS lilbubbychild doing the voice.
this reminds me so much of Squidbillies. Or other similarly animated Adult Swim shows. The pausing, Applejack's eyes moving to the side as she thinks for a frame, its perfect
@@Meshamu Oh, it absolutely did. There was no town before Sweet Apple Acres according to Granny Smith's story in the show. But that's if you believe everything she said was accurate and truthful. In the comics there is a literal war fought over whether the Apples or The Rich's founded the town. All started by both Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara wanting to play the lead in the Founder's Day play. This day celebrating their bicentennial. So 200yrs of Ponyville.
@@SilverSpoonRiche I didn't know about all of that. But thinking about it some more, my comment's implication that the farm may have been there for 300 years with no town forming nearby until then, was sort of silly. Even just growth of the Apple family around that spot should've been enough for a little town within a century or so, shouldn't it? But why would either of the two families you mentioned go with "Ponyville", instead of something like "Richburg", or "Appleton"? That seems an unlikely choice, like if there were a human town called "Manville", or "Humansville", or something. You just don't see that. 😜
@@Meshamu Well they didn't found the town but they both claim responsibility for the town existing and thriving. They start a civil war over it. Rarity and other shop keepers side with Filthy Rich that businesses keep the town afloat while Applejack leads the farmers and growers of Ponyville against the merchants. But you are right, what a dumb name for a town. UNLESS it was meant as a middle finger to Pegasus and Unicorn communities as the first all Earth Pony settlement. But see a teenage Granny Smith (according to her own account) settled Sweet Apple Acres and the town grew around it. So if we were to say that the farm existed for 100s of years before the town Granny would be around 1000yrs old give or take a few 100yrs. That's an exaggeration. I'm not good with math ;-_-
@@Meshamu You have a good point. if Diamond's family founded the town they would most certainly name it after themselves. But there is a town called Hell Michigan so like, what do I know? LOL
@@Pseudowolf I'm from over the pond, so I don't hear much of the southern dialects of American English, but now that you mention it my brain is being tickled by some vague recollection. None the less, I will keep my comment as it is, because I find it amusing. Edit: Most of what I hear is either New Yorker, Mid-West, or Californian, unless I'm watching something posted by someone from the South.
