Of the belief that none of the top players in League want to play for Buffalo. I feel there is some truth to they were aggressive but unable to get anything done. Sadly, Sabres are going to have to get out of this long-term mess they have created by showing the ability to win with younger players until they can prove their a series destination. I believe if they were willing to overpay through trade or FA, they would be able to land some top players. Risk could pay off or could end up being another Okposo, Skinner contract that team is regretting down the line.

It is what it is. Who cares. 5 younger players agreed to long term deals. GMKA is working with UPL's reps on a extension this off-season. With Lindy Ruff as HC the team will play a better team system structure. The trade with Washington helped fill a big need for a gritty physical forward.

Tage & Cozens can score 30+ goals each. A healthy Quinn can also top 30+ goals along with Peterka & Tuch can score 25+ goals. The Sabres boast 3 blue liners that also can score double digit goals each (Dahlin, Byrum & Power). I still the Sabres will add a more established forward to the team but having 3 capable prospects at forward (Rosen, Kulich & Savoie) gives the Sabres good internal options as fallbacks. Then you have Benson, Greenway, Rousek & Krebs still on the roster.

Time to go sign Steven Stamkos or Bret pese, or Jake dubrusk I would sign 2 out of 3 I would give Stamkos 6x 7.25million and Jake dubrusk 3x 5.825 million that leaves a little to go get a cheap defenseman or to sign Kane but I would not give him z lot 3 years 4.5million

Why do so many loyal long time Sabres fans buy into this man’s B.S.? No disrespect meant towards Beck Malenstyne, but what happened to using all of his assets to acquire a TOP SIX forward in Vegas this week where he and all of his fellow GM’s are in one place and motivated to deal? Earth to the Gutless Kevyn Adams cool aid drinkers, the draft is now over and the GM’s are heading home. Of course trades can and will still be made right up until the trade deadline next year. However, if Adams and his entire staff couldn’t get it done this of all weeks, what evidence can you now present that he’ll trade for or sign as an UFA that top 6 forward he has told us he needs? I’m only asking because as he participates in his 5th busy off season as Sabres GM, the only top 6 forward he has acquired in his tenure outside of the draft, is Alex Tuch. Of course he had Jack Eichel as his trade asset. I suppose he still might get a veteran player in here who Ruff inserts into his top 6. However I will never believe that player will be as good at scoring points as either Middlestadt or Skinner.

It’s like fans ignore the roster. At LW they seem locked in with JJ, Benson, Greenway, and the new guy. Yikes. At RW they have Tuch, Quinn, black hole, black hole. They don’t have a 3rd line center and fan favorite Krebs scored all of 4 goals last year. We have no idea if Dahlin, Power, and Byram can coexist in the top 4, initial results weren’t very encouraging. Samuelsson is still a huge ? I am optimistic about the goalies and Lindy but they aren’t miracle workers. So much work to do and a big day on the NHL schedule has come and gone. But hey, they finally replaced Girgs. 🤦‍♂️

NONE of the other teams were able to trade in the first round, so what are you exactly expecting? If other players don’t want to come here how is that on Adams? Who do you want him replaced by and what do you want the GM to do? Go back to making dumb Tim Murray moves? I think you need to get with the program. We are already loaded with young talent that just needs to be guided and time to grow.

@@bjarczyk Everyone (you too, perhaps?) thought Adams would trade #11 and one of his existing young players for a top 6 forward. I certainly didn’t think he would but every podcaster and RU-vid Sabres “expert” kept talking about it. As for who I want him replaced with? How about an NHL GM who can do his job well enough for the Buffalo Sabres to make the playoffs? That would be refreshing after 13 years of FAILING to accomplish even that, with FOUR consecutive seasons of early golf falling directly on Adams. If “other players don’t want to come here” isn’t it the GM’s JOB to change their minds and convince them to play in Buffalo for at least one year, or am I not understanding the role of a hockey GM? And I have no interest in getting with Gutless Kevyn Adams “program” until at least Lindy guides them back into the first round of the playoffs.

@@WideTier agree with lot of your points about Adams, he's been tighter than a wet ducks ass when it comes to taking risks in trades with picks and prospects to improve the teams chemistry and needs, but with Lindy here now he'll respect his experience and listen to him which may end up saving Adams his job.

@mitchell Lindy has evolved quite a bit as a coach, thoroughly studied the playoffs, and has wanted to come back to Buffalo. So yes, peak Lindy.

The league figured out Granato before the season started. Lindy Ruff will have a much better team system structure for this young team to play within. NJ had goaltending issues throughout last season.

@davidweirich9256 Sabres have 2 prospects basically ready to try out the NHL in Kulich & Rosen. One who will probably start in Rochester- Savoie. Another one who is about 2 years away from Buffalo- Ostlund. The kid this year might need another year or 2.
