Not all the facts are available, but how does a resident get arrested for 2d murder when the suspect shoots and kills 3 people. On the surface, doesn't make any sense at all.
@@LonnieBrewer-dd4wi I think it was more of a crime for the cops to arrest that hero. Its like this because we have a democrat state and that's a fact.
@@happylivinginparadise9151u match violence with violence. But we can’t in a democrap state or we the law abiding citizens would actually get arrested and charged. It’s how it’s always been done throughout history. It’s why ur not speaking Chinese right now.
@@alaefarmestatesllc You have no idea how investigations work. An arrest was made based on probable cause. Someone’s actions caused the death of another. That is a crime. He was probably released pending further investigation. Nothing happens unless he gets charged. There may or may not be exigent circumstances that will justify the killing of another person. Let the investigation happen. This is the nation’s law. It has nothing to do with republicans or Democrats. Being so opinionated and hateful before the facts are even know is a waste of breath. Were the victims innocent bystanders, were drugs involved, was it gang related, did he legally own the gun? We don’t know the facts. HPD did their jobs. The governor and mayor have increased police presence but they can’t be everywhere and the community has some responsibility in building a healthy community too. The police can’t babysit stupid adults who easily gain access to guns. Your such a hater for Democrats, so tell me what is your brilliant solution to stopping the violence that is overwhelming Oʻahu?
@@kawikadee9670 it’s a normal and standard procedure to arrest the involved party. Then they do the investigation and gather all the information. If he acted in self defense, and it sounds like he did, then the shooter will be exonerated. Is this another drug related or gang related incident that brought violence in to the community? We will learn more in time.
@@happylivinginparadise9151 No. Thats a dumb take. She said victim arrested for murder of shooter. He shot the dude who was killing pople in his house. Drugs aren't even mentioned. On its face, the arrest of the victim is unjust.
@@jsupp2240 obviously you have NO KNOWLEDGE of how investigations work. Do you think the cops should rely on what the reporter says or what her opinion is. If a person is CHARGED with a crime, based on the facts uncovered in the investigation , then that is a different story. An arrest is based on the probable cause that the shooter shot and killed someone, which means a crime was committed. It doesn’t mean there were no exigent circumstances that would justify the shooting. In serious crimes like this it is standard procedure to arrest and then investigate. This would have been explained to the shooter. Also I didn’t say drugs or gangs were involved but it wouldn’t surprise me as it is becoming more common in violent crimes. Why would a neighbor dispute end in multiple deaths? Was the victim’s residence and occupants all innocent bystanders, in the wrong place at the wrong time? Is there mental health issues involved? I don’t know. We will learn more in time. Learn a little before you act on emotions and call an opinion dumb when you lack knowledge of the subject. It’s a bad look on you.
It's funny that the Chief has to remind the reporter that staffing shortages doesn't cause crime, crime happens because individuals make a choice to do something. So true. I feel like some reporters are just looking to blame these crimes on the police or City.
I thought so too. Reporters were asking baiting questions to try to blame the police. They should have been asking questions about the crime and timeline of events. So dumb. The Chief handled it well though. Reminder - Fault does not lie with the police or the guns
There are people that are blaming police presence for the violence in Waianae. Although it helps, there is a modern culture problem where people are conveniently resolving their issues with violence. We are all one 'Ohana' (family); the madness must stop...we must live every moment with grace and Aloha.
@@QuantumOfSolace1 And that's the hard part, at times, people constantly blame the government/police for everything that is wrong. When people should be 'policing' their own actions in preventing chaos from occurring. This type of crime isn't going to subside as long as people feel that violence is a distinct option.
I lived on Oahu from 2019-2022 and ever since COVID, Oahu is getting worse and worse. Something strange is going on that we are probably not getting the whole truth. I don't think I would ever move back as the Island is not having stabbings and murders it seems every other day. It's an Island with no place to run.
Waianae is literally becoming the "wild wild west"...HPD and government officials need to stop talking and start doing because this is ridiculous. I feel so bad for the good Samaritans and Citizens that live in that community that have to live in fear everyday. And it is also even more horrible to charge a man with 2nd degree murder for stopping a suspect from killing and harming more innocent people. 🤨🤦♀️
We can't hear you!!!!!! What a useless report if we can't hear!!!! of course it's not her fault, she a cop. It's never their fault, even when they are wrong.
Blangiardi was right. What is the community doing to prevent these incidents? He said the complaints that the police station is not complete is a moot point. The cops can't be everywhere at once. These people resorting to violence, so rashly, is a cultural problem, not police problem. Please teach your kids that violence is not the answer.
Was right? He’s the one said to take our community’s back. How we supposed to do that if we don’t have the same immunity as cops? Violence works, that’s just facts. If it wasn’t for others being violent and making sacrifices, you’d be speaking Spanish or Chinese right now.
I suggest anyone who has a sheepdog protector mindset, in whatever method you choose to deploy, to lawyer up with Marc Victor of Attorneys On Retainer (AOR). It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. You and your family's lives are at the mercy of this governmental "machine", "system", "hierarchy", or whatever you call this "thing of theirs".
Oh boy . What a sad story . Waianae is hawaii hood . Why all these shootings and where do they get their guns Is it my hearing ., ? She speaks so softly . Rip
Horrific and audacious.👀 Escalation in intensity even in its non-relation to other incidents in the area in light of known endeavor to address crime. Community needs assessment.
