As an ER Nurse, I am 1000000% with you on this Peter. I literally screamed out loud… Since when did cops become medical professionals who can diagnose and connect injuries to cause of death! Ummmm no sir! Even a doctor cannot make these calls without imaging and it’s still attached to differential diagnoses. So frustrating!!

I have been a nurse since 1985 and I completely agree with you. I too was screaming at my screen today when they pulled that stunt. It was disgusting. You and I can’t testify that way either, because that’s practicing medicine without a license. It doesn’t seem to be the issue it once was, but it’s not a good thing to do!

I AGREE! I'm an RN too, but in Labor & Delivery. I, too, found myself yelling at my screen! This case is crazy and 100% do not believe his injuries are from an MVA. This guy was physically assaulted in the head, and something (aka dog bites/claws) injured that defensive arm.

That was crazy! I couldn't believe my ears listening to that guy. I was yelling at the TV🤣 He seems very pompous to me. He probably stands in front of the mirror for an hour checking himself out. I worked with Deputies for years! And a lot of them need to be humbled after so many years of work in the field. They get too big for their britches. He, to me is the perfect example of that! I was a bartender for 15 years. In several different environments. A $10 Tito's and water/seltzer is a standard price. I think, because of my expertise (lol) she ordered Seltzer (and lime very common) to pace herself between drinks. When you arent a beer drinker, liquor moves quickly. So having your mixer and adding vodka (or whatever) periodically, helps you pace yourself in a party like setting. Specifically to keep yourself from getting hammered super fast. I feel even more strongly about it because of the type of straw she had. Regular straws in a bar are ALWAYS for non alcoholic beverages, and stir straws for alcohol. Its actually code in a lot of establishments, especially during busy hours, so the bartender can keep an eye on what people are consuming so you dont over serve. All of this is EXTREMELY common. Like dozens of times a SHIFT in a bar or restaurant with a full bar. They potentially were comfortable with her adding the liquor to her beverage herself, if she was a familiar regular customer that the bartender knew.

I worked in a jail as a nurse years ago. There is a good ole boy code that exists. I was a part of it for years. They are going to back each other up come hell or high water. If they don't, you are breaking the bro code. That's my opinion on some parts of this case. I am having a lot of issues with this case. Seeing her car back into Johns car makes me think, If she was being charged for backing into that car, they would have used that ring bell camera as evidence, stating there was damage . But in this case they are saying, oh no...there was no damage...wth! That bothers me. I'm still waiting for the states smoking gun. I don't want to say she's guilty or innocent yet. But if I was a juror watching this clown show, At this point I would be frustrated because this case shouldn't have been tried in the 1st place, based on the evidence that the state has brought forward so far. I believe the Defense is making a better case so far. They actually make sense to me! I know the case isn't over... So I will wait as patiently as I can! I enjoyed this episode! Thanks again LYK!

The police go to her parents house to pick up the SUV. Trooper Yuri said today that he noticed damage to the passenger side tail light and he asked Trooper Proctor to confirm he saw the same damage. I don't know the procedures or protocols, but given your training and experience, why did they not take any close up photos of the damage before anyone went near it or why not call the crime scene people and secure some solid evidence before the car was towed? Even in the Sally port the was no close up photos.

***IMPORTANT*** Big glitch during garage closure. You can also see at the end of the video in the Sallyport where there is a glitch of time looking at the three people at the back of Karen’s car. The guy at the front of the video disappears as well. The blue numbers for the second counter are off as well at the same time between 53 and 54. You can see the cut even in the seconds. During the glitch. The seconds continue after the glitch and jump again from 1 to 8 seconds then the video ends. Very suspicious. 🤨 This is a mirror video. So the tow truck driver pulled the car in, got out with his phone, almost ate shit at the front of the car, then took a photo of the license plate then the VIN to document the delivery. Left. 4 people suspiciously hanging around broken tail light on other side then one of them comes over and shakes someone’s hand (or hands something off) then hugs them. The rest come over one by one and shake hands. Total of 7 people in the sally port at this point. Door closes with huge glitch on video at that time and only 4 people left. 🧐

I don't have any personal animus toward Lally but he's absolutely horrible as a trial attorney. He doesn't belong in front of a jury presenting a case or questioning witnesses. Somebody needs to slap some sense into him. But as far as the prosecution's theory of the case, I just don't get what they think happened. John O'Keefe exits Karen's vehicle to go into the Albert's house but just stands there in the freezing snow as Karen begins to drive away, watches her as she stops the car 60 feet up the road, continues to stand there as Karen puts the car in reverse, and then stands there as Karen accelerates in reverse right towards him and hits him 12 feet into the Albert's yard? Makes no sense. And then no one at the Albert's saw or heard anything? It strains credulity. Some people think it also strains credulity to believe that all of these people could be in on such a big conspiracy and cover-up but really, you don't need everyone to be in on it for there to be a conspiracy and cover-up and even among those who are lying and part of the cover-up, some would only need to stretch the truth or play a small role to forward the Common Wealth's narrative. It's possible that John O'Keefe went into the house and down to the basement and only a few people at the Albert's actually saw him there. Brian Albert, Brian Higgins, Matt and Jen McCabe, and Colin Albert (potentially), and that's it. The others could have been dancing in the living room or doing whatever and never saw John O'Keefe there. They may be stretching the truth but only because they themselves have been duped into believing Karen Read did it or perhaps they're protecting their good friends. And they're afraid of Brian Albert. Other than that, it'd just require Trooper Proctor and Trooper Buchanic to help facilitate the rest. And cops have a code, especially in a town like Canton. Doesn't seem far-fetched to me at all that these people would cover for each other or even manipulate evidence to point to Karen Read, especially if some of them actually believe she did it. In their minds they'd just be helping ensure that a cop killer gets convicted, not realizing that she's totally innocent and the real cop killers are using them to protect themselves. The Albert's, McCabe's, and Higgins all seem like the types of people willing and capable of covering up a crime like this and pinning it on someone like Karen Read. But if the evidence ends up pointing to Karen and there's no plausible way that she could've been framed than Karen should be held responsible and I'll owe the others an apology. But so far I think it seems more likely that there's something bad going on with these people who are trying to pin their own actions on Karen Read. Time will tell I suppose. God bless.

For me, AJ’s wrap-up regarding the glass was a huge AHA 🤯 moment for me … NONE of the glass submitted matched the drinking glass. The ONLY glass that matched another piece was glass from the bumper and a single piece found at the scene. What I took from that was the drinking glass had to have been broken inside the house, leaving Proctor with a gap to fill … hence, “stand alone” unconnected glass was added to the crime scene to make up for the drinking glass next to JO being broken. If I was on the jury, this would feel like the first piece of Scientific evidence in support of a cover-up (so far).
@adrianekyle8799
@adrianekyle8799 3 месяца назад
Also, I think the way Lally referred to the glass by numbers only was intentional - he wanted the jury to hear that some of the pieces matched and just assume it was matches to the drinking glass, when in fact, once broken down, the only matching pieces were the unrelated bits on the bumper and the single piece from the scene. Also, my husband drinks beer and we both like tequila so when we go out he will order beers and I get something with tequila and he drinks from my liquor drink along with his beer. I also think if somehow KR is found guilty then it needs to be appealed because the things this judge has done and let get in for the prosecution and the things she has not let the defense get in plus all the rushing of mainly the defense while letting the prosecution waste SO MUCH time shows me that she has issues and is swaying the trial toward the prosecution big time. I cant wait for you to get to when Alan Jackson was able to point out that 7-14 from the scene (collected by Proctor) was said not to match anything on the bumper. It was a little difficult to follow, but when he zeroed in on 3-3 e from the items found on the bumper, she then nervously said it was structurally and mechanically consistent with 7-14. I think, just realizing the correlation fornthe first time. I take that to mean those 2 items match each other, 1 from the bumper and the other from the scene, but neither matched the tail light lens or the drinking glass. So apparently, "something" stray, not tail light lens and not drinking glass, had a piece of itself on the bumper collected after the car was towed, and another piece of it was collected at the scene. If the implication is that this foreign item was deposited in 2 places and found at different times, in what scenario do you think that may have occurred? Because it did occur. I think they got a little carried away planting evidence. Bukhenic even found the drinking straw. IMAGINE THAT!

High school science classes taught me that there's no way Karen's tail light would've shattered from the impact of a 4000 lb SUV hitting a freestanding, (relatively) squishy & lightweight human. That damage could only be caused by impact with a solid, stationary object like a parked vehicle or a brick wall or by being smashed w/ a hammer or bat. When those lights break, any broken pieces don't fall outward, but rather, inward, inside the housing. That's why the piece that broke at 5am when Karen backed into John's car didn't land on the ground. Believing in Karen's innocence & the McAlberts' involvement is neither unreasoned nor unfair due to the known facts. It's the ONLY logical conclusion one may arrive at if they're paying attention to the McAlberts' texts to each other & their collusion in person during or preceding police interviews. "Hos long to die in cold" was searched by Jen at 2:27am and it was deleted prior to handing her phone over. Cellbrite data proved that! How is that NOT proof that she knew John was on the lawn at 2:27am???
@sierramcclary2897
@sierramcclary2897 3 месяца назад
It hasn't been proven that Jennifer made that search at 2:27. There isn't any proof that John went inside the house. It is very unfair to accuse the Alberts of being involved in the crime. Karen Read made herself a suspect because she was the first person to find John body which is very suspicious and because of the incriminating statements that she made

Right?!? I went back and looked at the photos of our car from when we hit a deer. We were on a highway, going at least 50 mph when a fairly large buck came running across the road. The damage was primarily to the front passenger side. Part of the grill was broken out, the bumper was cracked, there was also a puncture in the bumper just below the headlight, and the hood and headlight were both knocked out of alignment. But the light itself was not broken. An average full grown buck weighs about as much as an adult man. If hitting one at highway speed was not enough to crack a headlight, I have a hard time believing a tail light is going to shatter from hitting a person while backing out of a driveway. There's simply not enough force involved.
@amandamacabre
@amandamacabre 3 месяца назад
And let's not forget "the guy never entered the house" "exactly." That moment made me take the conspiracy seriously. Far too many make up their mind before hearing the evidence, or by using only their emotions, just as the majority of people following this case have. No one has heard all of the evidence, yet they are convinced of innocence or guilt already. That's naive.

why is nobody talking about the round blood stain on the back left side of his pants? there is clearly not that much blood in the snow that they put in friggin' solo cups?! this is insane. how did all that blood get on the back of his jeans? I think from laying on the floor in blood or being dragged through blood? this whole thing STINKS!!! also ohara was shaking like a leaf on a tree and whispering to himself? does anyone else think his behavior was like someone lying???

As soon as the Trooper started talking, I didn't care for him. He came off defensive at times & even arrogant. I can't wait until the defense gets a hold of him.

I have an autoimmune stomach disease similar to KR’s. When I go out for drinks, I buy a soda and a shot. Then I can control how much alcohol is put in my drink. I don’t know that that’s what Karen was doing, but it could’ve been. Since both soda and vodka are both clear we don’t know.

They were so insistent on having the cop testify to his injuries, I wonder if they're not calling ME. Andrea was explaining they could get away with not calling Proctor, and not have a jury instruction if he wouldn't add anything. Seems same could apply to ME.

I’m struggling to keep up with this trial. I can only keep track and understand because of lawyers on RU-vid recapping it and explaining it! If it wasn’t for them my head would be spinning.

The family should be so upset that the trooper was smirking and smiling. That they only have one lawyer trying this case and he’s clearly in over his head. The investigation was awful. This is an officer you would think they would do their best. This is terrible.

Heartbreaking. I can only imagine that they sense Officer OK might never get justice. What an awful way to die. Terrible

Replay here, from Fleming Island, Florida. Regarding the state troopers walking shoulder-to-shoulder, Sean McDonough (retired CSI, federal agent, etc., plus lived in Canton) @Going Through the Motions said those agents scanning the area where John died were using technique to find a missing person. They weren’t CSI agents, who would have treated the scene as a crime scene and would have NEVER walked through the crime scene, even single file. He said they should have placed a tent over the scene, with crime tape around it and guarded until the snow melted.

How can a defendant not be able to “confront” the lead investigator? Wouldn’t that be appeals issue ?

For sure it's flipped. The lettering on the rear lid of the cop car would not be printed backwards. The skipping is highly suspect of doctoring.

Notice they never say Officer O'Keefe. He also says acquaintances to distance from all the connections these people have to each other.
@leximari

The thing is, John was an acquaintance to Brian Albert. Not very close from what I understand… I bet Jen is hyping up her closeness to John to garner sympathy for losing her “super close friend she loved so dearly”, but didn’t REALLY know or care about him. Not one of these people could be a close friend, I do actually believe they were slimy acquaintances or casual friends

Also, when Jen called 911 she said "there's a man passed out in the snow" instead of saying he was an officer which would have made the call higher priority (sad but true).

What I heard but don't know for a fact is that the judge don't want them to say officer John O'Keefe or the police that are witnesses wear their police uniform.
