Funny how the first episode of series 5 also ends up being the last one ever to use the old BBC logo prior to the company's big rebrand the following weekend...
Interesting upload - many thanks. Just what did happen to Zoe's hair?! It seems like it happened between the rehearsals and the show, judging by the Cloud 9 preview clip in the run-down, unless that clip came from a previous series rather than rehearsals. And it's interesting to note that this is the last show with the old BBC logo in the titles, which makes this episode stand out from the rest of the series a bit. And why did the new phone number jingle (as seen on the video of the following week's show you've uploaded) only turn up the following week? (Or did they launch it within this programme? But the first play of the phone number uses the old jingle.) Seems a bit odd, especially as Mitch was pushing this as a 'relaunch' of L&K. Fascinating stuff, anyway - thanks for the upload.
+madmusician91 The phone jingle was recorded in Dallas Texas, and was probably delayed in production. Didn't go down too well as it was dropped after about a month.
The disturbing thing about Rolf Harris appearing on this show, is that Zoe Ball was one of the presenters who hosted the particular edition of The Big Breakfast in which it is claimed he sexually assaulted Vanessa Feltz live on air. It's highly likely that Zoe would have heard about this event from talking to Vanessa as a colleague, so very creepy that Zoe would have to interview him for (and in front of) an audience of children, knowing what he'd done 16 months prior. How very sinister to now know of what was actually going on behind the jollity of it all.
Well Teletubbies was immensely popular at the time and not just in the pre-school market so it was inevitable that they'd pop up on slightly older oriented TV.
