You've done again the best tutorial for Enso!, Audio Damage should pay you because you're showing the best of this software that was abandoned for many years and not even them have done any tutorials on the new features, I also like they fixed the horrible clicks and pops that were on the previous versions of the app, Thanks again Andre!
Thanks! I don't really understand Audio Damage's approach to promotion, but they're objectively waaaaaaaaay more successful at what they do than I am at my thing, so they clearly know things that I don't. :)
You can also do this with expert sleepers crossfade loop synth plugin by mapping the loop starting point to midi notes. I had a Bidule patch a few years ago to do this, but Enso is a lot easier!
great video :) thought about tracking your slices/midis via guitar to midi like a midi pickup ( i use the fishman triple play) instead piano keys? i love your stuff, big fan of your style.
Thanks so much! I had a Roland guitar synth from 1992 to about 2009, and did a fair amount of recording guitar parts as MIDI data. It produced some cool effects, for sure! For something like this, which is so dependent on being very precise with durations and start times, I find that doing it directly in the piano roll "makes more sense" for me. I have a couple of keyboard controllers, but if I were to record this kind of thing as a performance, I'd probably end up needing to go in and edit it by hand anyway, so...
@@andrelafosse the grid will stick the midinotes to the right position (quantize) if i want, i want to have a fast live workflow and find the idea nice to stay on the fretboard. so piano roll aka stepsequencer, also a nice worklfow for sure, i do both, i will do some experiments with the midi guitar, maybe it leads to a fun workflow, lets see :)
