이 어찌 첼로를 사랑하지 않을 수 있으랴 ....

Many years ago in my youth, I was madly in love with a girl who also loved me. If things had stayed the same, I would have married her. She became sick with meningococcal meningitis. She was hospitalized for months. She kept her life but she suffered some life changing side effects. She lost her memory of her older years. She could not remember me and although we tried to rebuild, we couldn’t do so because her personality had also changed. We grew apart. I am now married with a son. About a year ago she reached out to me. She told me that she was sorry we could not rekindle the spark but she had been reading her old diaries and she said it was obvious that at one point I had made her very happy. Truly our rose bloomed and faded…but I will never forget it.

아름다움은 당장 생계를 걱정해야 하는 무거운 책임을 짊어진 팍팍한 40대 아재의 가슴도 촉촉하게 하네요. 너무 예쁘시고 마냥 고운 외모의 소유자 이시지만...저 정도의 선율을 내기 위해 얼마나 많은 낙담, 실패,포기의 유혹을 이겨 내셨을지 생각하면 참 숙연해 집니다.

As a violinist, I've never in my life heard someone play the cello this amazing!! So much emotion and depth that you put into this that I was hypnotized to the sound and literly forgot to breath. My heart is still beating fast. You couldn't play this better, behond perfection! This is better than watching the movie or reading the story behind the theme. Well done🎉👏❤ You and the orchestra are outstanding.

모국을 떠나 비록 이국 땅 더위와 가난 속에 조반으로 빵 한덩어리 구하기 어려운 곳에 지내야하지만... 마음은 첼로의 애틋한 선율과 첼로를 품에 안고 연주하는 연주자의 이끄는 시선을 좇아, 문득 달콤했던 나의 청춘시절로 돌아가 있습니다. 참 아름다운 멜로디를 참 곱게 연주해주시는군요. 고맙습니다.

Your playing, your expressions are simply amazing. I cried all the way listening to this and had it on repeat it because it brought up a past life memory that I hold very close to my heart eternally. Thank you for reminding me that eternally love never dies.

In 1968, I was privileged to see Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet in a small, intimate theater in San Francisco. The ending brought the entire audience to tears. Your playing of the Nina Rota/Henry Mancini theme song captured the emotions I felt that day perfectly. Thank you so much.

When you played the first 4 notes on the cello, it completely brought me to tears, and I had to pause the video for a few minutes so I could regain my composure. I brought the video to my wife so we could listen together. As we are both 61, we quickly remembered the movie Romeo and Juliet from watching it in school. And we both agree that this rendition is truly exquisite and sublime. As I played the cello myself starting in the 4th grade this version really hit me in a wonderful way. The production and the passion required for a piece such as this has been easily accomplished! I will probably listen to it 20-30 times tonight alone! Bravo for such a personal production. Thanks 😊 so so much!

The best rendition I have ever heard of this song. The melody has a deeply melancholic feel, telling the story of the tragedy that is Romeo and Juliet. The cellist does an exceptional job at conveying the emotion and heart of the song. The accompanying players are outstanding. The duet in the middle with the violin and the cello…absolutely lovely. This stirred so many feelings in my soul. Breathtaking performance. Thank you for this fantastic piece.

첼로소리는 언제나 내마음을 묵직하거 집아주는데 가끔 그 묵직한 음질이 나를 절절하게 만들어줘서 애를 태웁니다 특히 첼로댁이 연주할때 더그러합니다 ㅎ 그래서 자꾸 찿게됩니다 ㅋ

I watched this movie 3 times when i was high school boy and i was crazy ,specially so beautiful Actress Olivia Hossy and Leonard Whiting. 55년전 이 영화가 개봉 되었을때 주인공의 연기와 외모에 매료돼 극장을 찾아 3번이나 보며 빠져들어 주제곡도 외워 지금도 가끔 아내에게 불러주곤 하는 정말 좋은 음악입니다. 훌륭한 연주와 아름다운 외모에 더욱 자주 찾아 듣읍니다.
