Top angling Jon as always. I’m travelling from sheffield to Todber in 2 weeks for a fish o qualifier. I’ve done my RU-vid homework but if anyone in the comments would like to share any info that would be greatly appreciated… tight lines 👍🏻
Thanks Again Jon for another great video and when you put up that status about your just fishing i felt that for you but like you said it's your first time & he's a regular keep up your great work 👍
Lovely video Jon, still amazing a 180lb. I do hope you go to Todber again it is a special place to bag up. Always love your videos and good luck on your next match👍
Great video and good to see you back mate shame you didn't qualify but 180lb is still a great days fishing and that ten foot rod looked well suited to the job
great style of fishing jon on new venue.i fished bank end fishery no float no shot soft ringers every put in large carp just feel slight tip movement and bang , i love your fishing very interesting next time eh.oh by the way only in reeds did that work for me.
Great Vid Jon, Todber is an awesome venue and I only live three miles away! I wouldn't be able to keep up with you guys though, I don't own ten keepnets for a start 🙂
looks a great venue jon with some great weights will you practice that shallow way as part of your armour for future matches were its allowed loving your members channel top man top angler
Hi Jon just watched this video at todber don't beat yourself up at the wait you caught that is double most weeks I use this water for a training ground as I am back on the match seen I fished it after an operation on my neck which I mentioned to you before it was not a good idea as it put me back in hospital Des Shipp was behind me and we had great conversation as the week before I lost all my fishing tackle as our house was broken into while I was on holiday recovering Des kindly offered to lend anything I needed but I cracked on with the kit I had The swim I was in Des had 400lb out of the year before whilst the guy on the other bank had 600lb so your weight was a starter 8f you watch match reports for this fishery they are always in the 300lb weekly like Des & Jamie Harrison you guys are fighters no matter what that's why I watch your videos and have the most respect I'm now fighting fit and fishing 3 matches a week and coming within top three's locally I'm due to fish qualifying at the meadowlands fishery for meadow lands master's and looking forward to it so please carry-on onwards and upwards I always say you are a great angler and a great sportsman
Hi Jon lovely video plenty of fish unfortunately most where small, only if they had been bigger, you did say they were small in this lake anyway tight lines.
Well done again Jon decent weight... As you know with fishing you learn something new every day.... Got to agree with you taking 10 keep nets is a bit much, don't get me wrong great fishing venue, however, having to catch 400lb to win I'm not sure 👍
Great Video Jon. Looked like you were really getting stuck in in the 1st half. I suppose it ended up a good actual practice session for the future. Amazing bait tray by the way. Quick question, I am a member but dont seem to be getting notifications when you are uploading membership stuff. Any idea's
Must be your settings if you’re not getting notifications, but keep an eye on my Community tab directly on my channel and any new vids will be mentioned there. All the very best.
Looks like you had a great day, I always wonder how two lakes can be used when 99.9% of the time it's only possible to win from one , I enjoyed your foray into tapping and as you say a lot of places either ban it or have hook length, lash and float restrictions,
Always going to be better lakes tipped to win. It’s no different to not drawing the ‘marina’ or ‘island’ or ‘cables’ on a natural venue really if you think about it. Plus there are always surprises, but as I get older it certainly becomes a touch more predictable!
Bad luck on not qualifying Jon, but you still had a good day's fishing, that's why i don't like to match fish, coz you fish your head of and don't come in the running, as you said you had 180lb and didn't come anywhere doh !!!!!, cheers Jon
Unlucky john. Guess with more practice and knowledge of that venue was all that was missing. I never listen to local advise if im not familiar with fishing it. Stick to what you know. You kbow, that. Next time for, sure. 👍
I’m sorry Jon, I know it’s a Qualifier and to catch as much and as fast as possible is a skill but it seems so hectic. Much prefer to see you fish natural venues for mixed nets of fish.
That’s fine Andy. I prefer lower weight venues too, but variety is important as well so it’s nice to mix things up and try and qualify for another big final 👍
Slapping water with no float is not really fishing mate. a lot of places demand a float because it can potentially damage fish if they are near the surface either by the pole or by foul hooking. stick to what you are best at mate.
