Prime 4’s graphics might actually be on Switch as they look very similar to Prime 1 Remastered but with higher contrasted lighting and grittier colours. The remaster looks amazing already and that runs at 900p60fps.
I think the reason they showed it off here instead of waiting for the switch 2 reveal, is so that when we see the switch 2 version it’s more impactful because we’ll see how big the 8-year leap in hardware is.
Nobody really talking about Meteoid Zero Mission which I'm so hyped for. I loved playing Meteoid Fusion and never played Zero Mission. Now I can play it. 👌
i bought a wii u to play it on stream a few years ago. it was my first and favorite metroid game. its phenomenal and extremely replayable. i wish we would get another in that art style. been waiting forever for this to come to nso.

They definitely are waiting, this is going to be a launch title for Switch 2 and launch on Switch at the same time just like Botw did, after everything Metroid Prime 4 has been through it deserves that honor.
Showing a Metroid Prime 4 trailer doesn't mean they're not waiting to make it a Switch 2 launch title. The game comes out in 2025 like the Switch 2 likely will. U don't show a first trailer right when Switch 2 comes out you gotta wet people's appetite first.
This whole comment is drawn out conjecture. They're going to announce the system early next year. For the first time. How likely do you think it is they then release it within nine months from then? Holiday 2025 would be the *earliest*. I don't think March 2026 is out of the question.

Various incarnations of Princess Zelda used swords in the past. She has one in Twilight Princess (dunno if that's more ceremonious, but the Puppet Zelda fight definitely showed her fighting with one), Hyrule Warriors had her use a Rapier as her primary weapon, and Toon Zelda used one when possessing Phantoms in Spirit Tracks and Hyrule Warriors: Legends / Definitive Edition. I think they're going more for the Wisdom angle for Echoes of Wisdom, so that'd mean using magic instead of swordplay. I'm still super excited for the game as I prefer the non-BotW/TotK styled titles (OoT, WW, TP, ALttP, LA, ALBW, etc.). Having another top-down Zelda like ALttP and ALBW is pretty neat as new titles in that style hardly show up now these days.
I hadn’t either until Metroid Prime Remastered and then I got hooked into the series. I bought Dread when it came out but it was in my massive backlog and I didn’t get around to it, but Metroid Prime drew me in and got me addicted.
Between Metroid, Zelda with Zelda as actual protagonist which seems to combine old school zelda design with new TotK principle of solving puzzles your own way, Mario & Luigi, that ori looking indie, the new nintendo online games and a lot of other stuff, i say this was a really good direct. Still wating for dk64 tho 👀.

I don’t get why people are trying to claim people are mad at Zelda being playable. People on all sides of the political spectrum have wanted Zelda playable for 30 years. It’s not “woke”. “Woke” means destroying/breaking the concepts of gender, anatomy & traditional sexuality & bringing up political matters from current society.
i don't think this is Nintendo going woke, it certainly wants to keep every kind of consumer close, but tootally woke i think not, and beyond that, that zelda game looks neat
Very solid show, but the showcase will be unable to escape the controversy surrounding it with regards to it just being a showcase of its greatest hits.
Look I get the metroid hype but all they did was acknowledge it exists......again. Nothing shown blew me away. It looked like it was just metroid prime remake or metroid prime 2 remake. Everything else in the direct was more exciting than metroid prime lol

The whole draw of Nintendo is people returning to their childhood, and honestly this was the best direct in years for that. I don’t want to play realistic dudebro shooters, I want games like this.
