@@clam6254 it has somewhat grown on me the more i look at it, but it just feels wrong not being pixelated in the *slightest* tbh. Imo that was a decent chunk of the artstyle's charm and now its just gone and it feels off
PENNY. That's not cell shading clipping through the brothers' hats. That's their EYEBROWS which are placed OVER THEIR RIMS for more exaggerated expressions!! Edit: I gotta add I loooove the squash and stretch. They pulled off the artstyle so well. I do think something feels off about the boss's attacks don't quite stand out from the bright floor texture and environmental lighting in the battle you pointed out. The framing might be a bit off when defending but everything else looks so good. The framing is awesome on bros attacks. This is the first time we got M&L on true widescreen. Worth mentioning they opted for a similar camera angle when defending to Superstar Saga.

I really dont understand the awkwardness she saw in the mario and luigi game. The games animation looked top notch 10/10 along with its style, and they aren't gonna go back to sprites when they have no real need to do that lol

I do not know WHAT beast awoke in Nintendo, Mario RPG remake, Thousand Year Door remake, NEW Mario and Luigi game, Mario Wonder, playable ZELDA, we are so back. I cannot wait to see what the eventual next 3D Mario looks like but I can only assume our minds won't be able to handle it and implode back to the cosmic ooze from whence it came

Ace Attorney Investigations 2 is the Mother 3 of the AA franchise. It’s one of the best games in the series but it’s been Japan-exclusive for 13 years. I genuinely never thought I would see the day it would see an official English release.

@@kjj26k I decided to check Ocarina’s final boss, and yeah, I guess she just stands next to the master sword uselessly until you can walk over to get it. I sort of assumed she did something there. The other times where Zelda does things, besides phantom Zelda and CDI, are in games I have no experience with. I assume Skyward Zelda would be willing to use a sword, which begs the question of why they wouldn’t write a main character that does action stuff. (Obviously to do this other mechanic, so whatever)
oh my goodness you're right. And this one doesn't even split at ocarina of time, which means now the timeline with link to the past just has another branch splitting off, completely separate from where the other branches emerge
I think this new game is just on the Downfall Timeline, I don't think it's a separate timeline. We could be proven wrong depending on how the plot plays out, but this is just After A Zelda Game We Weren't There To Play. We're gonna save Link and he's gonna be fine, everything goes on as normal.
Guys, it could, *could* also just take place on a already existing timeline. I doubt the game is gonna end with link *staying* gone after all. Wouldnt be a very happy ending would it?

listen, say what you want about Country Returns in terms of quality, i won’t argue, but this game was my CHILDHOOD, man. this is like one of the first games i remember playing
Is Country Returns actually controversial? It's super difficult but I think it's great. I found Tropical Freeze to be a little too easy in comparison (though the level design was better).
The Denpa Men were a series of games on the 3ds, and out of all the cool underrated 3ds games and/or series they could have brought back, like Pushmo, HarmoKnight or Rhythm Thief... I can't believe they chose the frickin' Denpa Men. I mean they were fun games (I'm saying that from my experience with the Demo alone but regardless, it was pretty fun) but I'm still surprised. Especially since the original series' identity and gameplay loop relied a lot on the 3ds' camera to find and catch Denpa Men around you with the Augmented Reality feature, something the Switch can't do.
The cameras not all too important tbh. The games are great and I'm personally glad that after almost 12 years, people outside of Japan get another one to play
I kinda like how Mario and Luigi Brothership kinda looks like older, slightly more janky cell shaded games just with a bit more polish but I could see how you would be a little iffy on it Overall the game looks charming as hell to me

Many of the team from Alphadream that went bankrupt were hired internally at nintendo. Such as Hiroyuki Kubota, who was a director of the Mario and Luigi series, he now works at Monolithsoft. And Prime 4 will most likely be cross gen, with some upgrades on the successor. Metroid prime 4 needs that 140 million Switch users to make sure it sells relatively well. Despite apparently being loved and critically well recieved Metroid does not sell well.
@@SayybleYeah, a lot of AlphaDream was picked up after it shut down. Quite a few went to work at Monolith, so that is who I think is handling the new game. Fingers crossed.

“People on Twitter aren’t going to be super into this one I think” and it turned out that people on twitter are calling this one of the best directs. Tbh I thought the same thing at first. I felt that the direct was awesome but I didn’t think it would have mass appeal. But no it seems a TON of people fkn love this. I’m glad! Only people I’ve seen dislike this direct are those few that just hate jrpgs for some reason. And I don’t respect the opinions of people who blindly hate jrpgs so it’s all good.
I think Penny was hypercritical of the new Mario & Luigi game, as a veteran of the series who's played every game and whose favorite game is Dream Team despite its flaws and "where muh pixel art" personally I think it looks INCREDIBLE
The way they utilize the fact that Zelda represents Wisdom with the echoes and going beyond just "zelda game but you play as zelda" is so cool to me omg

On one hand, out of all the fan names, "Raymond Shields" was the most off-sounding. The last name "Shields" was just a bit generic. On the other, "Eddie Fender" is way too lame. Guess it'll be like The Great Ace Attorney where the fanbase is split between names, based on which version they played first.

I think mario and luigi always had that style, it's just a bit uncanny to see that style for the first time in 3d, hd, and on console. I'm sure it'll look better as you get used to it.
