Ky has a great fan base that wants to win and supports this team to no end !!! Unfortunately the program from the AD down has failed to put a product on the field worthy of their support !!! It's frustrating and excuses just don't cut it any more !!!
Vandy won the game so it is what it is but something is wrong when that much undisciplined behavior occurs, penalties for over 100 yds that took at least 7 off the board, special teams errors off a bye week knowing Vandy was capable. Best team under Stoops ever roster wise and we are still old UK football. It wouldnt have changed anything but what was the issue with the clock when Vandy was punting on 4th down?

Except for Curci’s one great 10-1 season, which did not end in a bowl due to penalties for multiple rules violations in the program (academic, criminal, recruiting, etc.), none of them had Stoops’ level of success much less sustained anything above a .500 win percentage and never consistently won in the conference. Brooks was given a program decimated by violations during Mumme’s tenure so his overall record gets a lot of deference from me. While lower-level bowl games is all he could get at UK, you never had to worry about what kind of program he was running. It took Brooks 20 years to get Oregon to the Rose Bowl and they’ve stayed solid since. Claiborne also ran a program very strong on integrity and perhaps could have built something equally lasting had UK hired him earlier instead of going with Curci. Jerry was a great old school coach, but the lift was too heavy for any man at the end of his career. Year three was his high point, 9-3 and beating Wisconsin in the Hall of Fame Bowl, but then he had no more than 5 or 6 wins to the end. You guys and your head-hunting just need to chill. It’s not about what you want. Everybody wants to win.

Somebody ask him why Jamarion Wilcox isn't getting more carries!! The kid is a stud, and every time he has touched the ball this year he has exploded for big yards, and if im not mistaken he is averaging over 9 ypc and yet he only got like 3 carries this game. Two for over 15 yards and one for 5 yards. He is soooo obviously the best running back we have available but he barely gets any touches. I think Bush doesn't call plays to set the team up for success on 3rd downs alot, he rarely runs the ball with the running backs, and the offense as a whole has been bad. And its mainly due to play calling. Jamarion Wilcox should be getting atleast 10-15 carries a game, and they should run the ball more anyway. The drop back pass has been better, but it seems like they dont know when to pass and when to run, and when they run, they dont utilize the talent they have. Its baffling to me
I saw guys that were undisciplined and lazy, Cox on the o-line is lazy gets called for holding several times a game. Guys running their mouths instead of playing, these guys make money now put them on the bench and play lesser talent and loose but at least you get their best then the guy sitting now will see his precious stock go down and that will affect his money.
Team had numerous opportunities to win the damn game. I got the bizarre feeling they were actually trying NOT to win it by continually committing moronic penalties and mistakes. Absolutely no excuse. WTF???
Gran helped the defense prep for Pavia. That guy’s for real. Defense gave us a chance. Our offense is pitiful. It’s pretty clear now why Kirby Smart kept Vandagriff off the field.
When will UK stop accepting mediocre football results and blaming the players for their misdirection. All the other UK team programs have brought in new blood and new revitalized energy. Mitch, you know the answer.
Any fan who calls for stoops to be fired is nuts. You do realize that he has built this football program to be atleast competitive and he has done that with less resources than the top tier programs. Coordinators at places like LSU, UGA and Bama, and even Florida make alot more than the assistant coaches stoops can hire at Kentucky. He is a good coach, he just can't find an offensive coordinator to save his life. His teams are always strong on defense, he just needs to get a decent offense to go along with it and he would win 8-10 games a year.
the facts don't support your argument. Can't find current numbers this year (published in Nov?) for everyone, but in 2023 Coen and White were the 13 & 14 highest paid coordinators in ALL of college football. Only five other assistant coaches in all the SEC made more. Marrow was the 33rd highest in all of college football, and Stoops was in the top 10 amongst all head coaches. Except White perhaps, we are not getting our money's worth IMO.
Maybe if we had a QB we would have a little offense. Instead we bring in a senior with next to zero playing time. Dude makes horrible choices and even worse passes. Does no good to throw the ball 4 yards ahead, or throw it to the sideline every play. We can’t expect the defense to win every game for us.
