I took my buddy David out for a skid down Live Oak, one of the steeper trails in the park. David brought his new Skydio 2 drone out. What a cool gadget to finally see in person. I think it really captured the beauty of Bidwell Park and the far north side, especially this time of year. I also pulled out my old DIY swivel mount for a few shots. Awkward but fun to use.

Love the vocal reactions to Live Oak! Nice how the drone can follow so well. Mine’s an older Mavic Air and it doesn’t do that well. You have to have a person flying it to follow faster riding

Thank you! I agree! Technical riding on display, but the highlight is really how alive the park looks from the high camera angles.

This trail isn’t very long but it’s enough! Super steep and technical. Ride with caution. Bidwell Park in Chico has a ton of trails to ride and connect with Live Oak. Bidwell is a must see and unique spot to improve skills, but hit it in the spring.

Yoooo that trail is GNARLY!!! Steeper then Winston? Could you post the Strava?? NICE work tho!

Thanks! It is steeper than Winston and more rocky. But I’d say if you can do Winston, you can get down Live Oak in one piece. No strava for me. Let me know if you want to check out Live Oak. Spring is the best time to ride it.
