I am a sober alcoholic, used to b homeless on the streets, drunk. The cops were always nice to me, yes they did send EMS alot, but they always told me to get my life right, quit drinkin. 6 yrs ago i finally did. I still write to the cops who had to put up with me daily. I thank God for them, the consideration, even kindness and respect they gave me. I am so glad to see them b kind to this dude.

He won’t pay anything. Yeah they’ll bill him but if you can’t pay it they just either take it out of your refund from taxes if you make enough money but if you do make enough money you probably have health insurance. If you don’t make enough money the city/state or feds will pay it and you’ll pay like 100 dollars. I was billed 2000 dollars. 10 years ago when I didn’t have a job or insurance. Called and the state took care of the charges.

*sigh* when fire rescue is sent out in any situation, or even just an ambulance, several police and fire trucks, rescue and engines come along because they can never be sure the kind of emergency that could very well happen, each sector is trained in different things the others aren't but some situations require them all so they rather be safe than sorry, the ol saying 'better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it'

The Officers did the right thing for the man, treatment, not arrest! Although I don't know the man, I sincerely hope that he is able to take control of his drinking and improve the quality of his life. Living drunk on the streets is no way for any human being to deteriorate to doing, it rarely has a good outcome for those that do it.

Matthew Torres About a month after my husband died I got a bill for $250 from the ambulance company who carried him to the emergency room. Somehow, it got mixed in with paid receipts and I didn't find it until I was clearing out the box for the year. They never sent any bill but that one.
