garycomehome2043 a small bit. Drugs are smuggled in not only by criminals but by officials and there’s no stopping it so there’s no point in taking a cup full out of a lake
We can't get everything so we don't try to get anything. Gotcha. By the way, we could use the same logic to stop enforcing all laws, since a significant portion of criminals succeed in their crimes.
If they admit to it immediately there’s no chance for them to use some sort of plausible deniability I guess, that’s literally the only reason I can come up with.
@@stuntcox5731 the first stage is denial? I dunno. Maybe the .001 chance the officer will “believe them”, and not look? The plausible Deniability thing sounds smarter.. perhaps they’ve been through the system to “know” it’s best to deny.
I'm gonna side with him and your sister. A rag with someone else's blood on it in a car full of needles belonging to suspected drug users is not something I want to interact with.
"We got some more drugs off the street tonight". It's like when I say im helping clean up the beach after I accidentally bring some sand home in my sandal after going to the Ocean.
You ever just stuff your bottoms full of sand before you leave the beach and when you get to the shower dump the glorious load and watch it go down the drain? Bliss
True but they at least know those two aren't gonna overdose and die because of them taking it. The only people that make a real dent are border control and they are not even allowed to do their job anymore so cops take what they can get.
@@JeffSmith-eq3kc if the government were to outlaw beef tomorrow, the demand for beef would not diminish, the supply would be more complicated, thus driving up the costs. As long as there is a demand for illicit narcotics, no law enforcement agency will be capable of “making a dent”. Border patrol could make a 1000 kilo bust tomorrow and these two will still be able to get their fix the next day. The government needs to learn to swim with the flow of the stream rather paddling against the current.
@@creightongerard3895 if looking at the biggest picture you're correct, the overall flow of drugs into the US is not disrupted by seizures. However when we make a large seizure it is the only time that any impact is felt by the larger suppliers. It may be temporary and not substantial, which is why I say a dent, but it is the only time that those responsible for the mass quantities of drugs feel it at all. Border patrol is the only law enforcement agency that has an impact on those supplying the masses.
Technically they already destroyed their lives with it. Employers don't like to see a felony on your record. Plus for possession of a dangerous drug to boot. It will be there for the rest of her life. Tsk tsk
Not fully true they still can get a job because places are not allowed to discriminate against a person because of a criminal record and i know that for a fact.
I love how the police always say that they got drugs off the street and hopefully they will get clean...lol they got 1 gram of heroine away from one girl who had another gram ten minutes after she got out. Same with the guy. All that was accomplished was a 12 hour period with them in jail
@@robbiejames1239 Getting drugs off the street does nothing but raise the profits for those still on, if anything. The supply doesn't run out. It's made from plants, not moon rocks. The plants grow back as long as the sun keeps shining.
and revenue for the state, civil payroll funding, a free subscription to future profiling, substance abuse programs that label a person for life, for every gram off the street, 40 truckloads will replace the loss. Giant circle of money and control.
its just the easiest way to get consent. and even if you deny the search theyll just get the dog and itll always alert on the vehicle. They always win. Traffic cops are the worst kind of cops IMO
jon boy 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 thank you for saying that. I’m so sick of everyone’s comments about “wrongful searches” how about if you didn’t hv this $hit in the car there wld be no issue!
"Pretty good kid, hope they wont ruin their lives on it" *has just found over a dozen needles, some uncapped, and heroin* Hmm,anyone else would have been charged for just not telling him about the uncapped needles...
I never understand why the suspects are always like "yeah you can search my car, there's nothing in there" when they have drugs sitting out and know the cops will find them.
