Jojo Harper I mean not really, if you happen to get the keys to a car you’re not supposed to throw a rock through the window to open it. He should’ve said « it must be the person who gave me the keys and tried to trap me into getting arrested » instead. But even if he did, it would be a matter of time until the twin-car owner would get his case investigated, or until they potentially watch camera footages or fingerprint.

I can’t believe the top notch excuse of “someone just gave me keys and I thought this was the car and that the keys just wouldn’t work on the outside so I used a rock to smash the window so I could see if they would work on the inside” didn’t work. Actually it would be smart. Take it to the chop shop. Part it up and sell. It's a common car so it would be easy to get rid of the parts quick. Vs something fancy you'd be sitting on for a while unless you know the right people.

Twin Darwin Award Winners in the same video! The victim left his keys in the car at the convenience store (probably with the engine running for "efficiency"), but he was lucky enough recover the car at the time (but not the keys). Darwin award #1! The perp is unlucky enough to pick the wrong (matching) car when he visits the parking lot, so (somehow believing that it's the same car even though he can't get in with the keys) he uses the subtle approach and smashes the window with a rock--so everyone awake in the complex can hear it! Then he tells the cops a story that would earn an F in a first grade essay. Darwin Award #2! If there's complete justice, the victim won't get a penny of insurance money for leaving the car running for a thief!
