I’m not 100% sure about this but I was watching a border patrol video on youtube one day where they’d throw away fake Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, etc products because it takes business away from the real companies. Which would also let him fly under the radar, as far as his warrants go, if a random officer randomly runs the registered owner of the vehicle which is common. Just isn't worth it to lie. He was respectful and upfront to begin with and the officer gave him the same courtesy. It will likely work in his favor later on when it hits court, officer can say he was compliant and didn't resist.

Nivekx602 is right. He didn't add fleeing and evading to the list of charges. As long as the gun comes back as not stolen and his brother is the proven owner, the judge may work with him and not charge with the possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. The Judge may also waive other penalties such as expired tags and the suspended license. All of that is possible because he was respectful to the cop. See it's not about the moment on the streets, but fighting it in court. A lot of what we get charged with can be played down or dropped in court. That all depends on how you handle the situation and present yourself.

Police often re-purpose vehicles obtained from criminals... My city has numerous un-marked cars they use for 'flag-and-bag' speed traps - the unmarked sits one exit up the highway and hits traffic with radar guns and right at the next exit there is a line of marked officers waiting to pick off the flagged cars as they come up. Clearly it works well as they i usually pass multiple people pulled over for the next mile or two hahah

I would take the chance with registering the car in someone I trust name rather than ride around with a expired tag , suspended license, unlawful firearm and counterfeit items. At least with valid tags and a suspended license your chances of being pulled over are greatly reduced

@@redcapphony disgruntled baby mama's with good lawyers usually can get unreasonable amounts per month, so you have to factor that in. If we was just being wack, then fair enough. But if dude was selling weed and his girl gets pregnant and he stops slangin weed (like a lot do once they bout to be parents) and has no job, now a year later his girl gets mad and divorces him since he broke and they both a little easier agitated since stopping weed. Lawyer gets him for 1,200 a month, and he starts slanging anything he got (business is slow at first). Those first 5 months racks are $6000, so a warrant gets out for him, while he got the months rent and what little for food, gas, utilities on him in cash (because houses get broken into, safest on you always, and if I'm getting robbed and broke I might as well die). Also being half of that money pays the cost of the prod he just flipped (minus the dvds which is lame he getting jousted for that one, but it's all profit) he gets yoinked out of his car and sent to jail. Then it's kind of just indicative of how the system is aimed at holding the poor in an ever worse of state. Just my 2 cents haha
