The battle at around 1:29:00. I could hear in Sam's voice when he decided to stop F ing around and started to turn on his brain to play the game. Prior to that he was just looking for low level "if this, then thats" to get resources and engaging in battle "because it was fun." ... The soft way to say this would be "he was starting to get the game." But, I think it happened after he finally realized he was making silly decisions and could play better.

Also when an event is triggered immediately reveal and place a new tile but the event card is resolved and scored at turn end.

Just fyi for next play - each player can only build one of each type of development, per page 18 of the rulebook (so JT couldn't have 2 Obelisks)

Not correct. The first line of page 18 says. "If you build multiple developments of the same type, you may claim multiple copies of the same card, and use each of them once."

Yeah, where exactly did you find this statement? That is not correct for sure You can build as much developments of any type that you want and can afford
