Congratulations this is such exciting news! I know these are scary times and what a blessing god is going to give you. I am 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby and all this has definitely been scary, all my appointments have been canceled and not sure about my 20 week ultrasound since it will be at the end of April. Besides the uncertain times we are living in I am so greatful for this life that’s growing inside me. I try not to watch the news very often because it gives anxiety if I watch to much so I am only allowing my self a little news in the morning and then the rest I have my family letting me know about the important stuff that will effect me. My husband reacted in a similar way after we found out we were pregnant with our first son after trying for a very long time. We both were desperate for a baby and went through several disappointments along the way. We didn’t jump for joy or have the classic tearful reaction. We didn’t even hug right away. We were both very quiet. My husband say there with the most shocked look thinking to himself “This is really happening. It’s time to get really serious about a lot of things.” A lot of the financial pressure and providing falls on my husband so he just needed to process all of that for a second before he could feel confident and excited, which didn’t take long. He burst into tears the moment our son was born. People process things in different ways. Yeah, this may have seemed awkward but I’m sure our finding out would have felt that way too. It’s not always this movie moment right away. Even when you want it more than anything in the world. It’s a big thing, it’s life changing. Beautiful, but life changing.
