Thanks again Nate, you should start titling your videos as EMERGENCY live Q&A, we ain't got much time left, PREPARE NOW!!!!! Life saving fertiliser for the apocalypse, use it or die!!!! Wear sunglasses and shout at your camera, a few red flashing LED lights in the background would add to the hysteria, get those views and subscribers up.

Happy birthday Nate! Missed your live stream of this week . This is first year haven't used any fertilizer that is not hand made. All is doing better. Thank you for all you have taught me. Fall crop, beats,bak Choi, peas and putting in some beans and squash. You can teach an old guy new tricks I'm approaching 68. The most used fertilizer I've used is compost tea.😊❤

I wonder if milky spore would work on those root feeding insects you're dealing with. It's advertised as strictly for Japanese beetle grubs but you never know. Farmers would be reluctant to try it because of the cost. A small box cost around $100. Get the powdered form stir it into water and drench the roots of the plants that are being affected.

Tillage is a tactic to reduce symphylans. How does it do that? Tilling will crush them, but not all of them. I will look into fibding out whether cedar oil will be effective. I will possibly find out, get a response, on Monday.

Last time I used BT I foliar sprayed and worked great in a real bad caterpillar year. Then sprayer broke, so I hit just the leafy green greens with a mix in a watering can. The soil around the leafy greens seemed to decrease in fungi under the microscope while other spots in same bed where I sprayed were same or increasing. Could have been the leafy greens don't team with fungi well, but was drastic enough to make me feel the BT affected it. Maybe effects ecto mycorrhizal digestion too, or just competes with the fungi, not sure. Fungi numbers started increasing again towards the end of the season so doesn't seem to persist. So I wouldn't worry about composting it, and I would only foliar spray. (ps. Whats the parts per million on the bottle? curious)

Couldn't get the discord invite to work so I will post here, I'm not a proponent of yeast fertilizer but the possible mechanism may be that yeast is fungal in nature. In the soil food web the protist/protozoa can be omnivorous, consuming bacteria, fungi and nematodes. If a soil is low in the fungal to bacteria ratio or the plant would benefit from a higher F to B ratio, an infusion of fungi that can be consumed by protists could result in higher nutrient availability for the plant. In fact experiments have shown certain protozoa can exist solely on yeast spores being described as mycophagist, that was a new finding. So it may be possible yeast infusion may benefit the soil food web thereby increasing overall plant health.. Interesting. I stumbled across this watching the RU-vid channel soil restoration course, lesson 6.5-Mycophagy & Nematophagy, by Sandra Tuszynska PHD. The whole series of 44 videos is an absolutely invaluable resource for soil information. Highly recommend.

@Trivdgun-
@Trivdgun- Месяц назад
Electroculture has results but most people do it wrong. Chinese researchers applied electric charges to plants and it stimulated growth. The yeast fertilizer I can attest to, I had visible beneficial fungi in the soil shortly after applying. All the plants have responded well to it from my anecdotal usage.
@burntthesis
@burntthesis Месяц назад
@@Trivdgun- lol, that chinese stuff sounds like electroshocktherapy culture!!! That will be next years fad. "I wrap my plants with electric fence, not only does it keep the vermin away but also they grow like crazy!" People really need to stop trying to tech hack nature. Fungi actually take awhile to become visible, so if you saw immediate results it was prob already happening there. The fert most likely helps in the end as most ferts do, but no way could it immediately create mycelium (assuming that's what you're talking about), perhaps you were seeing mold? which can be a byproduct of yeast... that is not beneficial. Just saying. good luck.
