The best thing we can take from this game? This wasn’t the Chargers “chargering” their way to a loss. They suffered insane injuries, and the Steelers played better. That’s it.

If slater is out for the season, perhaps this is the chance to put Alt at left tackle for the future. Don’t have to extend slater, injury prone like Bosa. Spend that money on a wideout or defense
Id say harbaugh putting slater on the trade market is like Minus 100% . Slater can come back, its going to take time but Slater is who we hope Alt can be.

Yes, they got some kinda schedule playing out, im jusrt hoping we get a better draft pick, as this year is a rebuild year for us, but going to be terrible for them when they face all the teams they have in their future . there is no adjustment when a player like Slater goes out the game, after that it was over. Without Slater and Herbert this team does not win many football games its pretty simple. Btw Bozeman needs to be replaced asap next year, he's clearly the weak link on the o line . Overall the team is going to fight and be in games If they are healthy, but they need more talent in multiple areas to be contenders.

The offseason is so important NO more Bullshit feel good stories with certain players. Bring in healthy good players especially Offensive Lineman & Defensive Lineman Harbaugh shouldve traded Bosa for Draft Picks and Drafted some of thise Big Boys Offensive Players from Michigan to help protect Herbert

Too many 3 and out combined with penalties ( some BS) gave Pitt a chance to extend plays and put points on board. The BOLTS did NOTlose due to CHARGERING.
Its easier to blame injuries, especially slater's injury for losing. True,(Non Joey injuries) obviously are not in the control of the injured player. It does show a great team has a full group of starters with backups that can at least do no harm.
Obviously we cant expect a backup to replace an all pro like slater, but it would be good to have one who slows a rusher to 2.8 at least and not 1.7 to qb.

The Chargers are a better team when they're ugly. Why? Because it seems like that's when they win. I'm tired of talking about the passing game. It's not meant to be. This pretty boy football has got to go. The quarterback gets hit in the pocket and he fumbles. The problem is is the receivers. Because it either seems to be feast or famine for the running backs or the receivers. Tightends it's different. But in an offense that's built to run it's famine for the receivers. In an offense that's built to pass it's famine for the running backs. I was listening to John Gruden and he was saying that in the first 2 games there hasn't been a lot of food on the table for the receivers. We'll I think he's right however he ain't the head coach of the Chargers either. Somebody else is and he wants to run the ball, and rightfully so. Something has got to give in that organization because you can't go two seperate ways at the same time. Food for thought. I do think they rest Herbert against the Chiefs because of the bye week. It'll get him some time to rest. But I wanna see them run the ball 40 or more times against the Chiefs. And you wonder if they trade Herbert and get him out of LA? Too much passing. Yes, rest herbert in chiefs game. Run the ball to try and hold the beat down scoring that chiefs passing offense will give us. Disagree on you some, the running era is over, all the rules of the game favor passing and scoring. This particular game turned in the last 2 minutes of the first half when harbaugh chose to let off on the gas on offense.
@14kindred yeah? Go watch a rerun of that game against USC vs Michigan played yesterday. USC defense was wore down in the 4th quarter. Chargers defense today was wore down in the 4th quarter. The problem with the pass game is unless the offense is going to score points and at least control some of the clock too, but scoring points is a must. If the other team is running the ball your defense will get wore down. The run era they say is over with but the philosophy still works. Chargers aren't winning passing the ball.

The problem with Herbert, because now he has running backs now, he abandons the offensive running game which puts the team in a position to lose because the passing game hasn't been good enough all by itself. You can't pass all day and lose and Gus Edwards is sitting on the bench with only 2 carries. Seems like Herbert was on pace to throw it 40 times before he reinjured his ankle and fumbled in the pocket.
Steelers were a bit too aggressive NO excuses but they were hitting late and the Chargers defense saw that and we’re getting aggressive too and the Refs seemed to call those defensive call on the Chargers but didn’t call it on the Steelers defense.
