It's bad enough to lose a child, but for someone to torture and throw him away like trash is unimaginable pain😢

Especially someone you/they loved and trusted! It was so sad to hear the dad say he never would have left him with her if he had known. I hate that he blames himself, but I guess that is what we would all do in that situation. Never ending nightmare.

@@5thdimension625 also I’m so happy they found him. Every time I see a kid going missing, I can’t stop thinking of those that are actually found alive years and years later and some have had horrible lives. You nailed it - this judge was a class act and his summation before sentencing wrapped everything up exactly as it needed to be. Al, Gannon's dad, also spoke of leticia's daughter and how she was damaged by all of this. He spoke of in a sense losing 2 children, the damage this person has done. He raised it because, like Leticia's daughter, the mob online etc have been running around saying both of them did something. He has been blamed for his sons death because his wife (at the time) killed Gannon. Yet his ex wife was friends with her before she even met Al. His ex also trusted her. The one time he needed to leave his kids with her as his ex medically could not take the children as she normally would.... It has disgusted me the way the mobs have been blaming him and his step daughter or saying the step daughter was involved. Both the judge and Al speaking up for the daughter. I hope she can find a way to heal.

@lhr8833
@lhr8833 Год назад
@@dejuhvu1793 Harley explained this is the first time they were all living like a family. Letecia is a liar and she liked to talk about their mom saying she abandoned them, but was not true. They used to live all in Myrtle Beach, very close to each other, so of course the kids were in both houses because they were sharing custody. The kids might have visited Alaska, but when Harley talked about the brief time they spend in Alaska she only mentioned her starting homeschool, not the kids, now when they arrived to Colorado is when he had full time the kids for the first time and he wasn’t deployed, he went for a few days of training. Letecia’s version is very different and because she made them publicly on TV, sadly has made a lot of people attack the parents like they abandoned their children, but doesn’t seem to be true.

It has disgusted me how many people in many different places have decided no, it's Albert who murdered him, It's Landon who murdered him or even worse, Harley and Laina, literal children, killed him. Just to be contrarian. There is only one murderer in the courtroom and her name is Leticia. If they knew of how evil she was, they would never ever left her children. May Gannon rest in heaven with his switch and Pokémon cartoons. I'll be beating the first Zelda game in his name as Al had mentioned this being one of his last memories with Gannon and the attachment between them both. It hits me in the heart. It reminds me of my youngest brother, who now is almost 10, but so close to Gannon. The impact statements are profound too. I felt sickened when people were being a jerk to Veronica when she was saying she only forgave out of her faith and even asked to if possible give her a bible so she may read and, if only she had a heart, repent and become a woman of faith. But that's sadly not Leticia. But Veronica's forgiving and offer of the bible was telling of THEIR grace and not how anyone ever will talk to this liar ever again. Veronica was literally saying, the judge judges her in this life, God takes it over once she dies It's especially graceful how Al did it. He knew if he requested it, he could have been given restitution. but refusing it because you want nothing more to do with her? It shows a grieving father's pain.

I love watching a judge lay into the person during sentencing. My father's trial finally came to a close recently, unfortunately with a plea bargain that led to an incredibly low sentence compared to what he was facing. I think he was facing like... 25 years in jail and this is ending with 4 months, 36 months probation, and a 10k fine. But from what my family told me the judge's sentencing was pretty amazing. I wish I could have seen the Judge lay into my dad, but hearing about it secondhand works pretty damn well too. Wish I knew what I could legally send the man as a thank you besides an email.

Excellent judge. This is a bit healing. So many I met, who as children ran away, many married as teens, unsuccessfully, because it was the easiest escape from years of horrible abuse at home. As victims, we were as much afraid of the legal system, as we were our abusers. Even attnys. told us, the law protects abusive parents over abused children. Hopefully, this wonderful judge, will shine as an example of how to practice law from the bench. We need this kind of justice for the children trying to escape abusers before they are killed. Survivors just want to prevent abusers from hurting other children. As well as to be relieved of the need to look over our shoulders, to make sure our abusers, roaming the streets will not come back after us. Laws that are enforced will protect children from abuse. Child abuse cases need the same investigation efforts put into murdered children. Many who get light sentences and released go on to murdering their victims after released and their victim age level often drops too often in an attempt to escape justice.

@@judistocker1811 I don't know where we went wrong but we certainly have gone wrong. Somehow we have stopped teaching generations that life has value and we need one another. Now America is turning on itself. People have so little confidence in their own beliefs. They cannot allow someone else to believe differently . We leave many of our children to raise themselves without the tools to be successful in life . Then we are afraid of them. A nation that doesn't encourage its people to find value in each other and celebrate differences in order to uphold each other. Is a notion divided on itself and it will not survive.

I don’t think Letecia understands the impact this is going to have on her in prison! No mother is going to take kindly to this. And I hope it’s 18x harder for her every single day until the end. Disgusting!

I am not sure...I watched a video and the former female prisoners said womens prisons are not the same as a mans...both women interviewed seemed to think in the case of Shallow Vallow the women wont necessarily go after her...I dont really know though...SHE DEFFINEITLY IS NOT GOING TO HAVE A GOOD LIFE...HER PERSONALITY IS NOT GOING TO HELP HER FOR SURE

There’s plenty of other mothers in there who abused, murdered, or allowed their children to get murdered also. She’ll fit right in. Hopefully she gets a few a$$ beatings in there too

Yeah, but prison is a different animal. It is why I support the DP. This kind of needy person is what some like because she can be a tool. No sympathy from the guards, definitely. Sad but true. I hope Harley made that break for good. I had to and it was painful but people who will use their children only value what they can take from them. They have nothing to give.

The judge was just amazing. He was fair and gentle toward everyone during the entire trial. When he rendered sentencing he was to the point and again very fair. I am full of admiration for him.

To clarify my comment in the chat about the sitting lawyers, i meant how careless they were sitting. Their posture, leaning back, rocking, etc looked very unprofessional to me....Just an observation.

Thanks for showing Judge Werner's sentencing statement, Peter. I wanted to applaud yesterday when I watched the verdict. I wonder if he's been writing this since the trial started? It was so eloquent and spot on and he was only on recess for 30 min before sentencing. I thought he ran a tight ship but still was pleasant and witty most times. I liked that he always stood for the jurors, unlive most judges I see on LawTube lately. I hope LS the Liar rots in prison and lives a life of obscurity. RIP Gannon. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Judge Werner is one of the most fair and intelligent judges I've seen. As for taking her last name away, shouldn't Al's divorce atty made that request? Knowing the situation, I can't imagine any Judge denying that request.

Hey Peter not sure if you want to look at it but the press conference after all of this with the prosecuting attorney and the parents was very informational about some future stuff to come basically how she's not going to go to a nice cushy prison she's probably going to go to a high-security one based on her past behaviors

Thank you, Peter, as always. I am so very impressed with this judge's summary statement concerning this case. He covered every meaningful point of Leticia's behavior and, in doing so, proved how diligently he weighed everything he heard in the case before rendering the sentence. My respect for him is high. I appreciate that you played his response in its entirety. As for a next case, have you considered the case against the octogenarian who shot the young man at his door because he was black? The victim was looking to pick up his younger sibling from a friend's home but accidentally went to wrong address. The case has gone strangely silent in the media...
