Honestly, it "doesn't present well" barely, barely touches it!!! This is why I haven't watched any of this trial yet, until today, because of just how - honestly! It's not good to comment on people's appearances, I KNOW and I know there's probably not much you can do about the Casper the friendly Ghost but it's just hard to look at it. The most unflattering part of his presentation is the LYING and The SIGHING...SLOW TF DOWN, DUDE... this is just as cringe and creepy as I thought it would be, but I do like The Attorney I Know and am finding myself staying tuned on this channel one event rolling into ANOTHER today!! But it's really hard to listen to this guy...Geeze ass...here's an ATTORNEY?? O...KAY?!!!
When I saw this was going to take place Boone’s case was the first thing I thought of too. If this guy is an attorney and it was such a mess, can imagine what hers will be. But we never know, she may do ok (in the back of my mind I hear, nah 😂)… can’t wait to see it,
@@lkd5410 look up the hearings when he was representing himself, he’s uncommonly stupid. There’s a 40 min video of that judge telling him how dumb he is. It’s gold.
Nah, he's trying too hard. Narcissists don't suffer from insecurity. He's impulsive and needy. I'd say Borderline and other personality disorder traits, which is a rarity in males. Add some heavy drinking + stress and poor decisions will be made. Like stalking, not getting rid of evidence and treating staff outrageously.
@Ebon you're correct...those with strong narcissistic traits have fragile egos and a skewed sense of self. The arrogance and confidence are a mask for a deeply insecure person's need for validation and approval. They do not tolerate criticism well and tend to lack empathy for others. They serve themselves, more specifically-their ego needs. My reference: I've worked for 25 years as a clinician, specializing in mood and personality disorders and trauma.
@EbonMaster Is insecurity at the core of Narcissism? Yes. Is it visible to even those closest to the person? not usually. The arrogance overrides. Narcissits don't angle for pity or need to be believed. He has traits, not the full disorder. My experience? 30 years in active practice and diagnosing PD in early adulthood.
Even if Sarah Boone could watch this trial, she wouldn’t learn anything. This guy is a liar and is guilty. Sarah is delusional and believes she is innocent. Without fault. Sarah has the entire world against her. Unfairly, of course.
They are receiving great publicity. Don't worry about them. They'll be some of the most famous lawyers in Las Vegas once this trial concludes and their reputations won't be hurt at all.
He doesn't stand a chance for an acquittal, with or without his horrible and boring narrative. The evidence is overwhelming. Oh wait...it was for OJ as well. Never mind.
@@sueevans608 He seems to, still sitting here right in this video, to truly believe that suddenly the people's heads are going to clear up and realize just exactly who he is and they're going to say oh silly us. We made a big mistake!! Why don't you just go home? So, so, sorry. Here have some money!! Typical LAZY NARCISSIST
Real tears require more than just a few sniffles. There is no evidence of tears around his eyes or the nose (the skin turns red and begins to swell with real tears)
@reenakemp9132 my thoughts about op, too. I think his OCD is so tied to his identity. Not real tears but IF there were a trigger, it would be a messy floor…not a M charge.
I was definitely one who requested this Peter. This one is fascinating to me. I've never witnessed a defendant narrate their own testimony before. I believe it was done this way bcuz his attys knew he would perjur himself. They know he's guilty. All the evidence points to Telles. His story of being framed holds to weight at all. The recross was brutal. This guy is toast. My question is, why would he want to testify knowing all the evidence they have against him? It seems very foolish to me and imo he sank his own ship. Thanks for doing the recap. Much appreciated as always.
Narcissistic traits. He believes he can still "control" the narrative (jury) with his delusional explanations. Despite all the evidence against him. He thinks he's going home. 😂
If I recall his work history correctly, he genuinely thought he could lie, brow beat, and smooth talk everyone he encountered. And for the most part, he didn't really suffer any consequences for that behavior for a long time. I'm genuinely not surprised that a loon who's used to failing upwards is convinced he can "nuh uh" defense his way through this.
His crying acr wasn't too bad (for how bad they get), but his face didn't change at all in colour, and the way he just stepped back into talking like nothing happened
But he is that dumb in his mind he thought he covered everything, but he didn’t. People can be smart, and some areas in their arrogance makes them dumb and others. The reason for him doing this is not only that he doesn’t want to go to prison. he is trying to prove that I wouldn’t have been that dumb except he was.
I just can't wrap my head around someone actually thinking this defense is going to work. You must have to be a complete psychopath. He doesn't even see that it is completely ridiculous. So glad this guy is going to spend the rest of his life in prison!
@aussie.lawnerd completely different. There was more than enough to show there was tampering of evidence from the botched investigation, the PD that was fully step back & no chain of custody of the evidence. Timelines that were testified by the witnesses that were proven couldn't be accurate and so much more. Karen Read was framed & is innocent. There is enough reasonable doubt & most importantly: science doesn't lie.
@@aussie.lawnerd I normally don't believe conspiracy defenses, most of the time they are extremely flimsy and reaching like in this case. I'm not saying I think the Karen Read conspiracy was proven beyond a reasonable doubt, but it was the most meritorious conspiracy claim I have heard.
I love him holding us accountable, likes and we'll extend. It's the furst thing i do every video, it helps the channel for so little effort. Appreciate you and your team.
I watched this live today and was going to message you about it cause I thought you might find it an interesting topic to cover! The cross examination was so fun to watch. The prosecutor just annihilated him! The sarcasm definitely slapped in this case 😂
A probate lawyer is not a criminal defense attorney, and it shows 😂 I expected this, his DSM-5 traits dictate he must. It's a fascinating study in circular speak and the gordian knotwork of those with certain personality traits on cross. Compare also his direct narration body language to on cross. He 'blocks' the Jury on cross with his body and fist up to his chin- his arm and fist block the Jury.... on direct he's job interviewing- 'believe me' ....while chair swinging to self regulate.
It might be dyslexia, but he's more likely trying to establish himself as way to tall to be the person in the video. At one point he points out that he doesn't wear lifts in the shoes in the video. This accidently explains why the killer is a bit shorter than Telles appears when he's wearing the lifts.
@@tammytaylor468 so, I am wondering if the State could have subpoenaed and downloaded her device? Or would that have been considered spousal privilege? That was the smoking gun!
Just started the video and already know this will be bad just from seeing “narrative without questioning” in title of course. I’m a litigation attorney, but not really a trial lawyer so I haven’t actually seen a defendant give a narrative statement like this. Also because I don’t have clients who insist on testifying if I tell them it’s not a good idea. 😊 Thanks for the video!
Didn’t know about this trial but love a LYK that is about a defendant testifying-we didn’t get it with Darrell Brooks but maybe will with Sarah Boone. Thanks for sharing with us Peter!
hes all about appearances it seems to me. he wants to look like hes this well put togehter person that would NEVEr do anything like this.. Hes a public figure and to expose his flaws that he has he doesnt like it one bit that people think negatively about him just my opinion anwyas i think he might have said 5'6 not 6'5 lol
Might be dyslexia, but he's more likely trying to establish that he can't be the "professional assassin" in the surveillance because that person is short. At one point he accidentally explains why that person might appear shorter than he normally does because he doesn't wear lifts in that type of shoe.
I am sooooo excited you did this! Thank you Peter! I loved how you addressed and gave us your great analysis! I’m going to watch it again. I didn’t think of his attorney telling him to go for it because he thought he was going to lie and didn’t want to a part of it, That is very possible. Again thank you! Be blessed!
I can't get over the fact that he won't allow the jury to see him walk. He's in the seat before they in and leaves after they are out of the room. Why because it's his walk as the video.
Actually most defendants that take the stand the judge has them seated and off the stand when done without jury because they have shackles on their legs…
@@OneBadAssMoMo he has leg chains that make noise didntwant to prejudice the juror I am not sure the JURY even knew he has been in jail for 2 years HE SAID IT HIMSELF ON THE STAND lol i think that he is doing this on purpose because he wants to have a do over and be pro se the next time around lol.. i would not put anything past him. letting things in that can prejudice the jury like him being in jail for 2 years he knows that can cause problems to get an appeal hes smarter than we think he is so manipulative lol
This was SO GOOD. I can’t seem to get enough about this case. He’s so ridiculous. Thanks for covering it. ❤❤Are you rockin’ some sideburns there??? They look great!
LOL. Watching this late Thursday night. Sent a message to my cousin who lives in Las Vegas asking what his son, an LV cop thinks about the trial. Can’t wait to hear.
Thanks for covering this one Peter! I haven't watched this trial, I heard about this case when it first happened. It's fascinating to see someone give a narrative on the stand!
I saw a report on this guy on CBS so I looked him up. The first thing I saw was his motion hearing to request the judge recuse herself! I knew then that this guy was a piece of work. I knew he’d take the stand after seeing that. Just astonishing. I’m subbed in… you’re easy to listen to, and watch.
I remember that Craigslist killer and the murder of the Runion’s when it was on the news at that time. Would really like to watch along with that case too! Thank you!
Absolutely never heard of a narrative testimony before. Happy to have your guidance and explanation to go along. I saw parts live on court TV but I prefer watching you holding our hands through it.
Telles cutting up his shoes and holding onto the clothes he used in the redrum is not puzzling; he did not want to take the chance that they would be found somewhere, like in his garbage. Him keeping the items is him keeping control of them.
I tell you, I truly laughed out loud on your comments about his being 6'5" and wearing lifts. Terrific commentary. Thanks for being real. You are gem 🙂
Thank you so very much for giving an overview. I almost didn’t watch this episode because I had no idea what it was about until you started to describe it and then I remembered the general facts. But since I haven’t been following this particular one, your overview was just what I needed to be able to watch the rest of your video. Great job!
Thanks for covering this! I came into this trial on the day he started his narrative. My first thought was this guy has quite the story. My second thought was I'd love to see Peter's take on this!
Thank you Peter for covering this one I am a Las Vegas resident born and raised here and I am grateful that you are covering this one. Even if it was just a tad bit of coverage. And I was one of the people who asked you to cover this one. Furthermore, when it comes to his testimony, I don't buy his story or his tears, guilty guilty guilty.
I watched the narrative live, then restarted and watched it again. Now I'm making the rounds on all my subbed channels watching the pro's break it all down. Yall, it never gets old! I absolutely cannot wait for cross to continue later today! 😂
I'm shocked he chose this route for his defense. Overly confident & delusional. It's obvious he used his mouth as a weapon throughout his life. What gave the defendant away was the killer walking away from the scene/house. He has the same GATE/walk, it's very unique (watch the video footage).
How excited is a prosecutor for this redirect? "Somewhere between Christmas morning as an adult and Christmas morning as a child" 💀 Perfect explanation, Peter!
