Shiny hunting is not really time consuming thing when you know what you’re doing, Though mad respect for putting the effort in to hunt for shiny haunter, count all your encounters and even trade to get it to evolve.
There's a better way, breeding with a shiny ditto, obtained in gen 1 with the red gyarados, gives you a 1 in 64 chance of hatching a shiny when you breed it with shiny ditto.
Bro, there's an easier way.. Catch the red gyarados, back trade it to gen 1, encounter a ditto, have that ditto transform into gyarados, catch the ditto, trade it to gen 2 and it will be shiny, breed that ditto with anything and you get a 1 in 64 chance of a shiny (gen 2 only)
Over 28k resets. Just wow... But shiny Haunter and Gengar are amazing :) I feel really bad for all you shiny hunters out there cause i randomly got a shiny Lugia after just one reset in Alpha Saphire. Didnt even try to shiny hunt it. Just disliked the nature.
This is a waste of time, just back trade the red gyarados to RBY, encounter a ditto, have that ditto transform to the gyarados, then catch the ditto, trading it to gen 2 guarantees it being shiny, then breed that shiny with anything for 1 in 64 chance of hatching a shiny.
Shiny gengar was a great shiny until hgss, before regular was purple, shiny was dark blue, now they’re both black In colosseum/XD/ battle revolution was at its peak
