It is only sort of a cover - Nile Rodgers produced, arranged, and played on (and I think co-wrote) the song. You might say there is a reason it is so authentic. ;-)

He most certainly would! He was born in Greenville, NC, where I graduated from ECU. I grew up with his current bassist, Jerry Barnes, an hour and 15 mins away. We spent many hours playing music. It’s just mind boggling for me to know both of Nile’s Bassist were from North Carolina. What’s the odds of that!✨🔥✨
