Due of the coronavirus outbreak, churches of forced to have services online… You have paved the way for us… God bless you and thank you for this valuable information.
I've been live streaming services for two years now and now being asked by churches to help them set up due to the coronavirus. Wanted to learn OBS so I have a free option for those churches without the budget for this sort of thing. Man I never knew about the sites you directed us to they are brilliant. And thank you for making the process so straight forward.
I really appreciate how you simplified the scenes. I never thought about duplicating the large scenes and just turning off what I don't need. Saves a ton of time creating new scenes just to leave stuff out. Thanks again! God bless your ministry!
I'm not even half way through the video and I am already so amazed!!! Thank you so much for this tutorial. Now more than ever our church needed this as we can't gather for service due to COVID-19. God bless you and prosper you! I appreciate this so much. Answer to prayer for me!
Great video. I'm currently still learning to use OBS for live streaming church services. There are things I didn't even know I could do until I found your video. Thank you so much and God Bless!
Thank you Jesus for AJaytheCEO! I was really about to give up until I came across your videos. You make it so simple. We appreciate you brother. For real!
Hey AJaytheCEO, I need your help. I've been bagging my head trying to figure this out. How do I schedule an uploaded video that I want to go live on OBS. I have Vimeo at church how they don't have the capabilities at this time to schedule a prerecorded video to be played live you restream. I can't figure it out on OBS. Any suggestions?
Sadly, you cannot schedule this via OBS directly and you would need to either keep the video private until you want it to be available in Vimeo, manually stream it from OBS at the designated time or use a service like restream to stream it at a specific time.
Thank you so much for this. It will help us this Sunday. Also, I use a macbook and will be recording from a sony video recorder. Please what video capture device would you recommend to? We just use a single video camera to record the service
Glad the video helped. If you can get one, the Elgato HD60S+ would work well with your Mac or the BlackMagic Design Ultra Studio Mini Recorder - Thunderbolt amzn.to/2Ud7B1p
do you know how to play videos from facebook and also twitter to OBS ? the video becomes in OBS with running status. What I'm asking is not about livestreaming. Please make a full tutorial if that is possible.
Hi AJay, your videos have been very helpful. I thank God and thank you for what you do. I have a question - Right now I use Mac book pro, and streaming video at 1280x720 is a struggle. So, I scale it down to 852 x 480, and use a downscale Bilinear filter to allow stable streaming. I am thinking of possibly buying a laptop with more horsepower. My question is, if I bought ATEM mini pro, and continue to use OBS will it alleviate the need to buy a laptop with high horse power?
Thanks for making it so simple to understand scene and source setups. After watching your video I was able to configure our service in about forty (40) minutes! Definite follow and bell ring. Now to check out your other content. God bless!
Thank you so much for the clear, concise information. You have some of the best teaching videos out here. To the point, no selling, pushing and straight to the point. Keep up the awesome work, brother.
This was so detailed and well presented. Thank you! Can you tell me what you used to record this video and have the picture-in-picture setup while recording your screen?
HI Ajay, I hope you can help me with a couple of issues. I'm streaming to youtube through OBS but my audio and video are out of sync and my audio input and output are giving me headaches(usb interface to mixer). Any thoughts?
Thanks Ajay for your such informatic video, I like to know when I have to stream any program how I will share the link to the viewer and how I will get the link to for share for the viewers?
You are welcome. If you are streaming to RU-vid or Facebook, anyone that follows you will get a notification that you are live so no need to share a link but each platform will give you a link during creation or when you go live.
You have just opened my eyes to a whole new world!!! I just downloaded these programs and I can't wait to play around so I can start doing this when we get back to "normal" church again!
Hi AJ, We have been using OBS for some time now. Recently for Live Streaming. We are using a Windows 10 laptop with a NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX Grafix card. We are Using a UTAP with a Cannon R HF R800 camera. We are having an issue with OBS Freezing up during the Live Stream. Do you have any ideas?
Hi Bro - would you be able to share some fix on my OBS issue? I am using Worship Extreme and OBS 25.0.1 on Windows 10. Neither of the Windows Capture nor Display Capture is not coming in and all I am getting is a black screen. But some apps are coming in like messenger, youtube via chrome. Netflix no go, and OBS too. I would appreciate your help :)
Hello my friend! Hope you are keeping safe ? Kindly help me on this technical matter. I currently stream 1080p 60fps using 1,000kbps bit-rate while my internet upload speed is 20mbps and it gives me optimal output quality, kindly advise me, if it's possible to same 1,000kbps for multi-bitrate but using a 70mbps internet upload speed without having any issues
Having an issue trying to hook up my external camera. I have a Cannon Vixia HF 640 and J5 create card. And it's not allowing me to see through my external camera. Am I doing something wrong? I got the camera hooked into the J5 create and then the J5 is hooked into the laptop and nothing................also the Canva wouldn't let me download any pictures withour paying for them.
For Canva, which type of download are you doing and are you using paid images in your creation? The J5 Create looks like an output card not capture card. This device will not work if that is the case.
You will need different video inputs for different camera angles. Either additional capture device or a switcher like the ATEM going into your streaming system
Hi, will this MSI GF63 THIN 9SCX-005 w/16g ram be power enough for streaming in a small church with obs and one PZT camera or what should I look for in the right laptop??? Thank you
Hi, God bless. I am using a cannon vixia hf R800. On Facebook live with OBS. The color is little yellowish. I put the camera on auto? Where should I mess with the color? On OBS or actual camera. And the audio is a little choppy. I am going to use that tool auto wiz configuration from your other video to see where should I set output stream to help it more look more clear.
If your audio is choppy I would think that is with your computer and how it is handling the encoding. Also I personally do not do any color adjustments with my cameras or OBS.
Facebook seems to cap the stream to 720p 30 fps. Is there a way to utilized the HD streaming 1080p 60fps for non gaming? since I don't want to go through the level up program in order to stream 1080p 60 fps
I am so new to this technology stuff and you have been extremely helpful. I have got everything set up, but now I'm having an audio echo when I am going live on RU-vid from my laptop w/OBS. Please help!! Thank you.
Can you do a edc, what's in my bag video? What do you carry to church to make sure you have what you need? Even for the just in case scenario. Adapters, cords, computer etc.
I want to stream my parish Easter Sunday Mass. Wide shot, i lav mic on the priest. May I use a camcorder for the video. What's the best way to use a camcorder on a tripod? Camera wise what do you suggest? How is the camera output live?
You will need a capture device for your computer and any camera or camcorder would work. Just make sure your computer is fast enough to handle the streaming. Get a system with an Intel i5 or higher or a Ryzen 3 or higher.
Thank you AJaytheCEO for a basic beginner setup. It will be very useful to us. I have a question. Can I project powerpoint slides during our livestream?
Hey brother Jay God bless you bro thanks for all the useful information. I have a question about OBS. Is there a way to delete a project and start fresh? And also have multiple projects running at the same time.
How come my settings is at 1080p but when livestream starts on FB, it will max on 720p? Is it normal when it comes to FB? I’ve seen some church page that can premiere or live at 1080p, what’s the secret?
I have a question hope you could help me out with. How do you split screens? For example during worship where you could show the lyrics but also show the persons leading worship. I would really appreciate the help! Thanks
I pray you are getting paid for this video instructions! Because you best I have seen so for. Yahweh has give you the Spiritual gift of Teaching and Serve of your hands. Selah!
This is most likely due to your laptop hardware. If you have a GPU set the encoding the hardware or anything other than software x264. If you do not have a gpu in your laptop, you will need to get faster hardware.
@@AJaytheCEO thank I just made a live stream but it was on RU-vid studio I got a bit confused on obs I know you made it simple but I am just learning about RU-vid so no clue how to.do much yet. I am just mainly trying to build a travel and cooking channel it's our first month so knowledge is small What advice would you give for.me to learn will going live help or should I wait and learn more. Thanks so much for talking to me I know how busy you must be🙏
We have limited space for the computers, sound board, etc. Is it feasible to use a KVM connecting the computer which displays the slides with the computer that runs the live streaming? I would like to be able to start the streaming and then devote my attention to the slides.
Hello how are you thanks for your tutorial i learned a lot from you!! I wanted to know 2 things 1. whenever i use browser source the audio is fine but the picture is lagging any thoughts as to why that is and 2. i seem to be having trouble audio wise as to getting the in house sound right now it sounds very close as though your recording a song. Any thoughts??
Hi, I love your videos! Is there a way to have a client stream from his computer web cam while set up the technical part and control the streaming from my computer? we're base in different cities.
please after restating the program you mentioned something to be searched in the browser but i dont get it well can come again with the name of the site
Awesome video. Question: I can get Zoom to use the virtual camera in OBS and I can select my good mic but Zoom is accessing the mic directly thus eliminating the very much needed OBS noise gate. I know you are not here to provide Zoom support but just thought I would ask in case you just happened to know. :-)
Hi JAy we are live streaming our church also but we have a problem that there is an error message from youtube that it is not getting enough video and we will have buffering what can be the problem
Most likely it is your computer or internet is not processing enough video or sending enough video data to RU-vid. I get a similar error when comcast drops on my upload speed
having trouble with intensity pro. tried to hook up a6500 and gopro. want through every setting and nothing. desktop video setup did recognize the intrsity pro.
No not directly. You will need to point OBS to a service like Restream or Castr. These services point to multiple platforms and stream your original source to these platforms at the same time.
Bro been watching these videos for the past several hours. I'm looking to help my in-laws who are pastors in Hinesville, GA. They dont have a sound or video guy so I'm looking to multitask. Would you have any recommendations for projecting onto multiple screens? I bought ezcast but having a hard time. They used to use an apple tv but want to project to 3 screens now. Any tips are welcome, maybe a video? Just in case anyone else is asking for this.
Thank you for responding! They are sharing a temple so they can't do wired. I guess I need a wireless one where I can send the same image to 3 different tvs
Ik It’s a whole year later but did you add filters through obs for the audio? I saw a lot of tutorials saying to add compression and a limiter, but I’m not sure if it’s needed for church services or not.
AJaytheCEO thanks so much for such a speedy reply. I literally have service in a hour and we are still socially distancing. 😂 I’ve been running with those filters this whole time but it’s time to get rid of them hahaha
The youth ministry from our church was doing a live stream. They played a video of a young man playing his guitar to lead in worship. Facebook stopped it. They popular songs, like, Lord I lift your name on high. What did we do wrong? How can we avoid this happening again? Where can we educate ourselves on copyright issues? By the way, our church is in El Salvador. Thanks!!
Sadly nothing can really stop it as computers are just scanning for anything similar to songs marked by publishers. You just need to make sure you have you stuff in order when you need to dispute a strike on music claims
@@AJaytheCEO Thank you for taking the time to respond. We were very surprised this happened. They were praise songs led by a young man and his guitar. Maybe you can do a video dealing with church music and copyright issues. We are not sure what we will do. We want to have worship in our transmisions, but we don't want to risk the possibility of Facebook interrupting our stream.
Good Morning, My Pastor is in GA with little to no technology skills. I’m here in Illinois trying to provide online experience as much as possible. He goes live on Periscope (his phone) then I will do screen to screen on on our church Facebook page from my phone to my iPad so what he streams on periscope is streaming on Facebook. With that being said I am having a hard time adding praise and worship to this set up seamlessly. I know he can stream from both platforms on OBS from his home but how can I get him the worship segment if we have 2 different OBS accts? If you have a contact number I can call will be great.
I followed this video and for some reason my audio lags behind the video on RU-vid. What can or should I do to sync the audio with the video? Thank you for all you do for all of us.
tried connecting canon video cam to my laptop and my PC. Tried HDMI and also the USB cables. The icon pops up under This PC, last about 1 second, then disappears. It seems to connect momentarily, then drops the connection. Any suggestions?
HDMI will not work. It most likely shows up while connecting USB, because it is being detected like a drive so that you can copy images to your computer. You cannot connect the HDMI from the camera to your laptop as your laptop has video out not video in. That is what a capture card is for.
Hello AJ. I know Zoom meetings can be conducted from remote areas but is it possible to run OBS from afar. Ran into a situation where I was running late to church. The church vestry hasn't found a standin for me in cases like this. Thinking if it's possible to connect from home less stress. Thanks
hello; thanks so very much. this was so helpful. However, I have problems with the audio. My camera is not picking up sounds. I only hear sounds from my laptop. Please how to I fix this? Thank you.
@@AJaytheCEO Thanks so much, I have a Canon Rebel T7i, connected it to the AJA U-TAP HDMI. Im assuming the camera audio should be good enough as the streaming is just from a small room. I am not so tech savvy. I was able to set up everything except the audio issue.
Very informative. I've been offered the opportunity to be the live stream engineer for my church service. I am no where near computer literate but interested in learning. Also, I am familiar with Windows but the church is going to use Mac. What, in your opinion is the greatest learning curve when it comes to getting things up an rolling. Thanks you.
Hi. It's me again. Question: if I'm ruining video psalm through OBS studio how would I do that. I tried adding sources and nothing I add would capture video psalm.
Thanks Jay. Another question...in the pre service scene, I have seen others that have a count down time. Like, " Service begins in 1:00 min". Is there a way to insert a timer in OBS? Thanks. Your video has been the most concise and informative for church set up I've seen. Good jod.!
We have a cannon powershot trying to record on obs butt the sound is caught by my laptop which is horrible quality. My pastor already uses a mic so if I bought a plug in mic would it interfere with my pastors mic making the sound bad?
Okay, I know there are a number improvements the church needs to make in the long run. However, currently, the pastor's wife has been livestreaming using a different software, with input from OpenLp to Facebook Live, and she is on vacation this week (with her equipment). So, I have OpenLp, OBS, soundboard, connected via LAN, and trying to livestream to FaceBook via wifi. (she also used wifi). Problem, as soon as we in OBS, the lan connections fail. Cannot even ping OpenLp. OBS is not being updated, by OpenLP. Help, it's Saturday and I'm at my wits end for the Valentine's day stream.
Thid morning I will simply try to record n upload later. What settings do i need simply to record? Service starts at 9:30 est. This really is the 11th hr.
I would like help with getting display capture to show on windows 10 as it is blank when i set it up. I can see its a problem people have come across but when i try the solutions it is not working. Please help as trying to set up for this Sundays service.
