Good for trying.. I did not know I am claustrophobic . I was down in the Sydney mines museum. In Nova Scotia. It was an actual Mine that went under the Ocean . It kept getting smaller and smaller. I had a panic attack . The mine was getting smaller and smaller down to 4 feet. They got me to catch my breath and talked me back up to ground level. Never forget the feeling. Snorkelling is just as good as Scuba for me. See amazing under water life.

Although jet ski is great fun. It seems very expensive now. In my working younger days used to try. Now retired and old I just leave it as a nice memory. Also can get rough going when choppy. Broke a couple of toes jumping waves. Those jet ski's can really move. Keep up training diving in the pool, an inexpensive way to build up you confidence, and breathing difficulties. Thanks Paul, I have owned several skis back in Aus and very experienced on a JetSki but just wary of the rental operators but will film the entire process and tell them I will post them on RU-vid so hopefully they will be good and not do the dodgy thing like most do. got my PADI certification in the Caribbean, Utila in Honduras, was the 90's,,, 93? my rescue diver cert was done in Monterey CA, cold water diving, eff that! good on ya mate,,, I continue to enjoy your journey and thanks for the condo tours as well, onward!
Great vid Jase! I like the cheaper condo tours as much as the more upscale ones. This one was pretty nice for the price and the view was fabulous from the balcony. Best of luck on keeping up with your dive training buddy.

Keep working at it, Scuba Diving is an excellent activity and I think once you relax you will really enjoy it. That condo for 10K looks quite good value.

I liked the condo. It seems large enough and the location seemed good. I think a less expensive "home base" that allows you to have more money to travel/explore is the way I would go (just my notion). glad you are still working on the diving. good luck friend!
As a former scuba diver, i do recall a very important precaution, that being never diving without a buddy. I suppose if you'd just be doing a practice session you'd be ok but always better to have a buddy in open water.
You don’t need open water just scuba dive in less than 50’ of water I’m not scared that far down because you can pump air into the bcc without de compression! And a lot of dives with ship recks aren’t deeper than 50-75 ft around islands. If you do some 50’ dives you will feel better to go back and do another go at it to go to 75 ft! I’m with you brother it scares me a little! But after calming down it’s magical you just have to get into your zen!
Great insight to the area Jason, I did a tour myself there while on holidays recently, BangSaray, ate at the beach side restaurants then went onto Satahip and finished off in Rayong, what a beautiful part of the world you live in. Are the Jet Skis over priced at 3000 baht for an hour, I have no idea as I never hired on in Thailand
Thanks, yeah it is great here. In terms of jetskis, I am talking to the owner of a shop that sells them to the rental operators and trying to find a good one at a better price, probably in Jomtien 👍

Hi Jason good views around Bangsaray area. Regarding practising diving in a deeper pool you could ask at Bangsaray Village Resort as Ive seen divers practicing there before. Next yes, its very nice inside the Navy area its not wise to be filming on the off chance a Navy Office who maybe be having a bad day may take exception. Finally access to the Islands can be restricted to westerners its still beautiful on the jet skys. Enjoy buddy.
Looks like a nice chilled spot, while I understand it’s a much quieter area than the likes of Pattaya/jomtien, is there any nightlife at all ? After making that comment above , I found your sat night walk video so,I’ve edited the comment , so that’s the strip of bars and restaurants? Reminds me of Ao nang 20 years ago .

That's great you always seem to have the pool pretty much always to yourself and sometimes you get maybe 5 people, or never more than 10 in the pool at 1 time? Pretty nice condo, view is nice but the pool is a bit on the small side. Overall it is a nice condo and the price is good at Sea and Sky. It's amazing that you have that pool all to yourself. Couldn't ask for more than that at the end of the day.
There s no rush to accomplish your diving skills , just go with the flow , relax , get to beat your claustrophobia in the water and get used to breathing using the mouthpiece , sometimes can take a few months to trust the equipment and yourself , it will get easier once you can relax underwater , dont put time pressure on yourself , we re all different and have different inner fears to beat ..... Jason careful of the bloody monkeys they are thieves , take mobiles , bags , clothes , l always carry a stick lol

Hey mate get you a metal detector and a gold pan and hit those back rivers and streams in the mountains. There’s gold in those hills! Maybe you get lucky and find some gold? Why not you got nothing else to do some days? Australia has gold and there’s supposed to be a lot in Thailand in the streams. Only need a small shovel pan and maybe a metal detector? What you think? Bargain condo - not sure about paying to go to a beach...fleecing comes to mind. Stick with the diving...DO jet ski...did in the Gulf of Mexico off Key West and in the Atlantic right up there as one of the best times of my 64 years...certainly would do it again...2-4-1 coffee sold !! Great job on the videos. FAC always a winner!

I would probably have to live on pot noodles and 7eleven coffee , still less is more as the Americans say and I will own nothing and be happy. I love swimming, have done all my life big time and am in a pool multiple times daily and so I thought why not do my open water in '99 at Koh Tao, gotta be fun............................Never been so bored in all my life, just wasn't my bag and maybe more to the point, I wasn't into the dive community, realised as soon as I went aboard........................if it's not your thing, move on, it wasn't for you anyway and concentrate at what you're good at..........................you're not gonna miss it...............................

Jason try again mate for your open water ticket i learnt to dive age 12 in boganville island 1981 i dived on ww 2 wrecks etc sadly i havnt done it again but plan to in near future you will love it once you you get your confidence 😊 👍 ♥️ new Zealand 🙏 ☮️

Yeah, just finding out if I can practice in my pool or find another one nearby that someone mentioned. The ski hire is high and exploring other options and talking to the shop owner in Pattaya. Yes best way to get the rent down is to offer upfront, has worked for me twice now 👍 Thanks mate

Can foreigners get a Thai bike licence? For bikes I have a provisional in the uk as that’s all I need but if I come to Thailand I’d need a proper licence right
If you get an international license that is marked to include motorcycle that will do if your here for a holiday but if you stay long term then get a Thai license
There are more bars in town but nothing like Pattaya, I stay away from bars as I can’t afford to drink in them and if there are girls they just suck money out of you 😁
