One of the best nights in my life was at a live concert in nz...I was about 16 years old, in love for the first time. No alcohol was needed... it was a vibe of its own naturally. Now I get to introduce my little man to the music of legendary bands like live xx
This band is magical. It saddens me to my heart that half of them ended up suing each other, or firing one another. Let the music join you together boys. Why do we ever have to grow up?
One of the best concerts i'v ever seen. The fact that they stayed onstage and rocked, in the pouring down rain, made it that much better. Love these guys.
A beautiful balance of Sound, and Visuals truly elevates Live's, "The River", into an area of Passion that captivates every Fan of the group, as well as those listening for the first time...
I miss this band. I don't understand why this album didn't do so well. I thought it was great. Live is a truly talented band. If only people weren't so desensitized these days.
For all you haters: Ed IS Live. He deserves the "lead singer bonus." Anyone who hasn't heard his solo album, check it out! I think it has as many hits as Throwing Copper... amazing stuff!
I have loved Live since I was a very small child and I didn't even know it. When I was little, I'd listen to all the songs my dad would either play on the sound system or with his pub band (they'd get regular gigs playing nightclubs and the like, so they played whatever the most number of people would know and enjoy) and I heard a lot of Live songs and absolutely adored them, even had them on my Ipod but the mp3s I had were just the song name so I still didn't know the name of the band or that they were even all the same band. I've only just discovered this band, even having been an unknowing fan for 18 years.
Thank you Live for the beautiful heart felt music and message that you guys have delivered all of these years, LIVE never date!!!!! I will always listen.
this is actually fucking insane. i was about 11 when i heard this song on rage on australian tv on a saturday morning. i had this shit stuck in my head for THIRTEEN FUCKING YEARS. i fOUND THAT SHIT
'and she's lying there all naked on the floor'...this line cracks me up, only live can make a worshippy upbeat pop boy band potential seeming song like this with a big belt buckle and boot cut jeans
Live is such a great but underestimated band. Throwing Copper was a masterpiece and we had to try and do one song from it. Hope you will enjoy our take on it : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bez5pTdoRaA.html
Great song! These guys have matured in their songwriting. I love what Ed is doing with his solo stuff. I had kind of stopped listening to Live after Throwing Copper (which was an amazing album). Don't know why... I think the split was warranted. Best of luck to the guys as the band moves forward with a new singer, and best of luck to Ed in his new ventures.
I saw them play in Newcastle in 09, it was hands down the best ever concert I've ever been to. The guys got an awesome reception and played more encores than in any of their shows. I remembered they played I Alone about 4 times, it was amazing.
I have been a Big fan of Live since the early 90's. Loved the raw lyrics, instruments and passion that they introduced with every album. They seem to have gone a bit softer as the years go on. Part of their appeal was their darkness, that most bands of the 90's had. Shame to see a band that has been going strong for almost 20 years slowly fizzle.
in chinese medicine, everything is based on yin and yang. the woman is the earth/water...the man is the sun and fire. that's what he's singing about - balance. even the sun can burn itself out, y'know?
