What is Star Citizen?
Star Citizen is the ultimate space trading and combat simulator video game for PC with support for Windows and Linux. @@gagida1829 The cutlass was redesigned so that they could actually fit things in the cargo bay. The rear door used to be more of a personnel ramp, but it still had a large cargo hold, so you really could only fit many small things rather than several big ones. There were also several smaller changes like the removal of the little side thrusters and a cockpit redesign.

Amusingly, 1:45 can now happen as of 1.3, missiles can, under certain circumstances, reacquire the wrong target after the enemy evades them. Including your own ship.

Yeah, the simple FaF heat seeking ones will attract to the closest/strongest heat signature and if they lose their initial target, they can re-acquire nearby friendlies or even your own ship. The more advanced ones with specific target locking typically do not attempt to get new targets, but they also rarely lose their target to begin with.

That fan... Well at least the outside of her helmet is cool. I just realized, this is the first commercial where you see someone piloting their ship while actually wearing a full space suit and helmet. Apparently she takes personal safety seriously while trolling Vanduul.

Let's compare it to other AAA games of similar (usually smaller) size. SWtOR: 5 years, $200 million ESO: 6 years, $200 million (rumored) GTAV: 5 years, $137 million and none of that includes marketing costs.... Star Citizen: 3 years so far, $92 million so far Got some perspective now? Good.

I've watched it over a dozen times now and I just wanted to say that this trailer is truly a work of art. The creative risk you take when you break the mould of what a commercial "should" be... that confidence is palpable. And the grace with which you've executed your vision has etched a wry smile on my face, given my goosebumps goosebumps and sent my wallet into a dark corner - cowering in a quake of despair. Something I missed the first time was the rear engines being able to pivot a full 180 degrees. I think the MISC marketing department might've taken some creative liberties in their Freelancer ad. The Cutlass is going to be able to fly circles around a lot of things while still holding a great amount of cargo. It just looks like it's held together with duct tape and a prayer. :P

That’s how you know it’s a Drake ship. They’re ugly, but they have that utilitarian charm that makes you want to love them. Basically, Drake ships are the YT freighters of the Star Citizen ‘verse.

You aren't required to wear a helmet while in the cockpit. A FULL SUIT is sometimes used by individuals to conceal their identities, like... best for pirates... Which is... kinda what... the Cutlass was designed for...

Pilot sits in front in tandem seat jet fighters. F-14, F/A-18D and F (C and E are single seat).

Out of a 300 strong development team Chris said before, only 2 people work on these commercials. They use in game resources and thus are easy to make. Still its they bring money for the game and are awesome to watch. A vision of how the finished game will be.

+PortbyhanMan If I were to pick up one of these, I would probably grab the either the Red or the Blue. Using the Blue allows be to play Bounty Hunter, which is always fun. But with the Red, I could be a Medic for hire, which would mean I could make a lot of very powerful friends.

***** Yep, I agree. Haha. I think you are looking at one of the most deceptively nimble ships in the game. Check it out. It has 2x TR4's for it's primary thrusters and FOUR x TR3's (that's equal to four Aurora thrusters) as maneuvering thrusters. And ALL six of them can articulate to produce thrust forward, backwards, upwards and downwards. That says to me it's capable of some EXTREME changes in direction. Haha.

Geoff Barnes We read constantly here how big is the thrust of this ship. Forward, backward, up and down ... You forget again and again the biggest disadvantage: The Cutless is very maneuverable, yes, but they can not evade to the left nor to the right. For such a maneuver you must roll first to the left or right as. Within a jet in the Atmosphere This makes them very predictable ... Your enemy will know that your options are limited ... ;)

I know the wait is painful, but I wouldn't expect open world gameplay next year (even though it's on the roadmap). Elite does a good job, but SC wants all the first person content at day one, so you can run around at shops on planets and so on. It's more hand crafted locations and that just also takes more time, especially for a studio that had to grow from nothing first.

actually, you could see them all along. if you pause at just the right moment, you can see them in the very first star citizen demo as the scythe explodes! they have come a long way since then, though.
