Out at the VA a few weeks ago there was a fellow veteran waiting and i struck up a conversation. He was 99, almost 100, and was Coast Guard during WWII. Very nice gentleman. He wasnt in combat, but he was ready. I would not have been happy to see combat, but i was willing if i had to fight while i was in. I swore to defend the Constitution of the United States of America and i still hold to that oath. It was a solemn thing.

My dad was a member of the VFW. WWII vet. He was so proud to be a member. The VFW in my town has a guy out on their property with a huge tent selling trump merchandise. He's been out there every day for weeks. My dad is likely turning over in his grave knowing this. I was going to join that auxiliary last year. I was a member of my dad's post for years.
