that lawyer is just trying to get a paycheck. He knows they have no real defense. No alibi, all the evidence linking him to the murder scene , and the history between the victim and telles...
One thing, a law degree graduate told me is “you don’t pay a lawyer for results you pay them for their time” that really put things in perspective for me. 😮
Right….what a knucklehead this guy is. Bet he lives with his mother, this is his first case since going to law school 40 years ago. But brags in his online dating app that he’s “a lawyer”.😂🤣😆
The defence attorney is trying to trip the witnesses up on the most minor things, I understand this must be a way to unsettle the witness but it comes over as absolutely desperate.
The tv show “48 hrs” did a program on this case (season 20, 8/18). They compared the gait of Mr. Telles (for an interview he did for a news story so it was without him trying to change the way he walks) side by side with the video of him walking down the street. Exactly the same!
3:07:42 Yeah look at him. Like he's so overwhelmed by what he did that he pretends the sun is in his eyes. "Oh maybe if I squint they will think I'm disgusted."
I’m in England and just catching up on yesterday’s stream. So far the defence have failed to score a single point against any witness imo. In fact their attempts to trip witnesses up makes them look ridiculous.
It blows my mind that at 2:59:00 Telles expects us all to believe that he’s so astonished by the pictures that it couldn’t possibly be him who did this. His bad acting is laughable and sick.
I don’t know what guidance is given to defendants about their demeanour/appearance but Telle’s constant look of quizzical concern must be straining his forehead muscles.
He jacked German up, Telles was raging mad. Then he drove back to the scene of the crime to make sure he was dead, because he knew German saw his killer.
@@traveltmhe might have a choice…many people shave their heads because they like the look or lower maintenance of no hair. 🤷🏻♀️ I believe @sjbeller3390 may have been implying if it is by choice, he should make a different choice.
Defense attorney 🤦♀️”Did you review that route for the BMW?” “Did you review that route for the Tesla?” Seriously(?)….neither car was at the crime scene but his GMC. “How many houses were in his specific neighborhood?” ….😂 what does that have to do with anything 🤦♀️ The defense attorney is a goof😵💫
The defense is simply asking a ton of senseless questions. Just wasting time. Not contesting anything or establishing any angle for doubt. Simply passing time.
- Doctor, what happens when the larynx is damaged? - It makes it difficult to breathe 😄 - And when the carotid is cut off? - The brain suffers lack of oxygen 😆 She’s creepy af… i guess that’s what happens when you do 250 autopsies a year
The defense: so you’re saying that you are sure this is telles denali because of this blurry image of a license plate on the Denali? Witness: No. I’m basing it on the plethora of evidence found in the suspect’s home when the search warrant was conducted. BOOM💥
Ok wait!!!! So the defense theory is that because they had a common dispute about money with the defendant, the realtors that he had a professional relationship with decided to brutally murder someone and frame him for it just to show him who's boss? WTactual F!?!?! Im stunned.
If the information on the license plate reader was given to the state, it was given to incompetent defense attorney. He was too incompetent to know his discovery and asked a question he didn’t know the answer to.
🤣 so someone else in Telles neighborhood also had red Denali that drove over to victims house. In the time not on video, about six houses from Telles home, someone else had same exact vehicle and reason to drive to victims home. Trying say because no video of vehicle actually pulling into Telles property it is reasonable doubt. 🤣🤣
I have just started watching this trial and skipping through to the more interesting parts, but when I first saw the judge yesterday I couldn't believe her hair! It looks as if she's just got out of bed! I thought maybe it'll look better the next day? But nope still the same 😅
The defense attorney looked ridiculous. He asked a question and when the witness told him about a license plate reader capturing the license plate and even gave the license plate number, he asked him on what date. the witness couldn’t recall the date the defense attorney got all pathetic, acting all tough like it meant something that he couldn’t remember the date, but that he could get the information. oh but it means he’s lying or there’s a conspiracy because he didn’t have that particular paperwork with him today when he’s testifying. give me a break. It was amateurish and embarrassing.
FFS It would have been nice to see the same photos the jury is able to see at the same time they’re seeing them!! I don’t need to see the defendant frowning or the people in the gallery!! 🤦🏻
I agree with everyone else that the defense lawyer is definitely grasping at straws which of course there are none because all the evidence points right at his client!!!
i know that everyone is entitled to a defense but lawyers who try to get off OBVIOUS guilty murderers i cant hardly abide. there is something morally wrong about this
Attempting to say she only was with Telles twice (when 20-30 times) in walk through and also trying have her agree Zach called Telles a-hole (and therefore saying recognized video as hated him so much wants to have innocent go prison for murder) reeks of desperation.
He is frowning as if he is horrified and disgusted by the used violence and could never be able to harm someone like this. Such a ‘wrong’ and pathetic human being.
I can’t believe that he believes anyone finds this not obvious. Malignant narcissists and psychopaths are truly terrifying ‘beings’ among us. I see them almost as extraterrestrials posing as humans.
I understand defense needs to and trying to, put in reasonable doubt that the vehicle on video is the defendants vehicle. It could have been done a lot better and in far less time. Some of his attempts (most) ridiculous and acting indignant that the assumption it was defenders vehicle was not reasonable only highlighted the fact how reasonable it was.
In case anyone is wondering, it's "buccal swabs" not "buckle swabs" lol. I'm listening to this and I'm so puzzled. It is only when she talked about swabbing the inner cheek that's when it clicked.
Between the defendant acting for the jury (like he's a delicate flower that may throw up from what he's seeing) and the weird smiling that seems on the verge of a school girl giggle from the coroner/pathologist... It's just cringy especially showing them both on a split screen. Who knows, maybe his hideous acting is causing her to do that. Weird!
I think the ME "giggling" is just the way some people handle anxiety or like...a social way of being amiable almost? I know a lot of ppl with that giggle and they do it even when under serious anxiety inducing situations, I'm not really sure what it is but definitely not a great look for an ME witness at a trial. /:
Actually those two might be a match made in heaven and I'll tell you why: Sarah needs a Lawyer and Robert is one and he loves to pretend like he knows what he is talking about. 😂
I’m surprised such a small kitchen. The house looks large from the outside. I would have imagined a much larger kitchen. Seems so odd that has such a small, dark kitchen. I haven’t been in many huge houses but have seen on tv and they have larger kitchens. Guess learn something new everyday.
The witness being snarky over plastic Nikes comes across like he has an axe to grind and is loving his moment in the spotlight. The snark undermines his evidence for me.
It's almost comical. Has all the clothing, the car, he didn't try and conceal anything. Perfectly clear photos of everything but the actual murder, which is blurry, and he expects to have a defense?
39:40 Since there was no connection between the suspect in the big hat and a BMW or a Tesla, why should anyone spend time perusing hours (maybe even days) of footage. For example, it is always feasible that the guy scoped out the place previously in his vehicle (sans phone). But unless you have a rough date/timeframe on when you are looking for do you know how tiring that could be? And since it isn't illegal to drive on roads of your choosing, the value of that information would be very minimal.
I started as the jury was deliberating. Someone else I watch, Dr. Grande was discussing his defense. And since I'm waiting on the Sarah Boone trial I said, "I gotta watch this."
Oh no they didn’t preserve the balls. They may have been used in the crime! They didn’t put into evidence therefore throw the case out. He is innocent. There were balls in the bag, therefore it’s not the bag.
The same shoes and hat in the video is found at Mr. Telles home. Also, the cuts on his fingers photographed by the crime scene technician. The motive to kill him is there as evidenced by the victim’s article about Mr. Telles and as a result lead to the loss of his re-election as Public Administrator. He had no alibi other than, “I was framed.” Telles’s red Denali is the same car driving to and from the victims home. Telles DNA was found under the victims finger nail….what are you talking about???? This trial was a waste of time!!!
as defense attorneys go, he's not annoyingly confrontational, but I don't think he knows the case well. He asks a gotcha question and I think he's going to impeach the witness with some cold hard facts, but then he doesn't impeach them. So typical smoke and mirrors from a defense attorney, but in a nicer way lol.
At 3:04:32 he gives himself away 🎉🎉🎉! The question asked by the prosector is if there’s another wound at the left side of the neck. AND TELLES ANSWERS BY SHAKING HIS HEAD BEFORE THE MED EXAMINER DOES!!!! Because he knows there wasn’t!! As if he wants to make sure they will not judge him for an extra cut he knows he didn’t make 😂
It’s laughable. Trying to paint witness as identified Telles because had disagreement with him. And tried to twist what disagreement was. It’s deplorable and not believable. It’s juvenile and pathetic. And his facial expressions childish.
Since Nahum wasn't officially attached to the homicide squad, perhaps it was thought that it would raise even more pointless questions as to why someone from the gang unit was helping on a homicide case. Edit: 5:42:00 🤣🤣 I knew I liked this lawyer. Defense didn't read the report. They just did a ctrl+f.
Unless ive missed it, they should have done some science on his height as compared to objects beside him etc, as well as science on his gait as compared to video. Would be hard to cry that he was framed if they could produce further evidence that the man in the video was him. But i guess with the mountain of evidence they do have and the ridiculousness of the "framing" claim that might be over kill. Lol
Why state challenging his own witness? Asks Was there another wound on the left? Why making big deal? The man was stabbed to death. Need to point out every single wound it was awkward
Livestream Chatters are f'ng RIDICULOUS! Defendant isn't crying but when they cry, they're faking! Defendant isn't bothered looking at crime scene photos but, they're just faking when they show any expression! Why are they talking to their lawyer? Bc that's what they're supposed to assist in their defense! Why are they looking or moving around but, accuse them of being statues when they sit still! Why are they smiling or laughing when jurors aren't present? Bc it isn't normal to be grim for eternity! Why are they writing stuff? Bc they are supposed to assist in their defense! Why are they wearing headphones? Bc they want to hear! You people are obsessed with studying every move that the defendant makes, more than paying attention to the actually trial & testimony but then have the nerve to ask others what happened!
Making fun off less knowledgeable people (maybe watching a trial for the first time) is ridiculous. I bet you felt really clever writing out all those questions. It jus makes you seems like someone who is in need for validation and takes pleasure in belittling others.
