It's a minimum-security prison, so most of the people there are likely there for offenses other than murder. Robbery, etc. Not excusing what they're doing at all but ironically most of them that are there probably haven't committed murder. (Certainly, some more notable inmates over the years have, though).

Right? My husband also has a huge inheritance coming. We prepare for it by making sure his aging father has the best care possible, no expense spared. When the time comes for hospice, he will hopefully agree to live with us instead of in an institution. He will never be abused for money. He worked hard all his life, served his country, and made wise decisions with money. He deserves the utmost respect.

My husband & I have 3 substantial amounts of inheritance that we will receive when our parents pass away. Even during difficult times we have never thought of our inheritance. We had much rather have our love ones than material things. With money & material possessions comes more problems usually. Even when my husband has been on life support twice & the bills were stacking against us, we NEVER thought about our inheritance or asked our parents for anything. That had to be the most satisfying interrogation to watch. That interrogator is probably the most experienced one I’ve ever seen and had a ton of irrefutable evidence to confront the suspect on. He just catches him in one lie after another, plus his confrontations were so effective. The cherry on top is the suspect having a huge ego and thinking he is smart, so he keeps trying to talk his way out of it.

I think for crime prevention and solving it is great but the scary part is centralized state surveillance. If people just did private de-centralized cameras for their home or gated community and police could get the footage by people handing over or a warrant, that would solve the 1984 dystopia threat. I don’t think enough people understand the implications for freedom. A tyrannical state isn’t (just) using surveillance to solve crimes, it’s for total control.

I’m thinking he’s a narcissistic psychopath. Has some low self esteem though - he views his girlfriend as an object that enhances his self worth. His behavior during the interview was laughable and reflected an inability to understand other human beings. I have a feeling that that is how he interacted with his mom when she would try to correct him. I’m betting he’d wear her down with denials until she would give up. His lack of understanding (or a one size fits all mind set) made him believe he could employ the same tactics throughout his life. What he did sickens me and I’m relieved for his girlfriend.

This defendant is very intelligent. Why didn't he ask for a lawyer? He literally talked himself into LWOP. It makes no sense for him to try to outsmart homicide detectives. Had this poor mother known she would have been better off letting him be adopted by the grandparents. I can't imagine how hard it was for her to build a new life in a new country with a small child completely alone.

@@samichgrrlI did just a few minutes of research, so I don't know that this info is 100% correct, but it looks like the threat of losing her child may have been the case in Hungary before they changed the parent / guardian laws in the 1950's. So, while it was not a thing when he was born, it is possible that she was young and didn't know the law, and possibly the husband's parents threatened her and planned to take the child away? Then again, he lied about EVERYTHING else, so maybe he just cited the old law? 🤷‍♀️

Even knowing nothing of this case, nothing of the identity of the victim - even if I entered this video right here, @19:50, at this interrogation - within 60 seconds, it is _painfully_ obvious that this guy is the perp. Nothing about his reactions is healthy or normal. All the laughter is horrifying. And it's non-stop 'chaff and redirect.'

even when the police notified him at his girlfriend's house, he was acting kinda weird! I've unfortunately been notified exactly like that and managed to stay polite and not scream or anything but certainly didn't act like he did. I realize everyone reacts differently but imho he was exceptionally calm receiving such devastating news.
