LIVE Will It Run Forgotten 1938 Allis Chalmers WC Tractor | RESTORED 

So ya'll never cease to amaze me, the miracles you work on these vehicles, the family bond including Christian learning to work on cars. One thing I really do honestly appreciate and applaud is that ya'll are religious but don't make others feel uncomfortable about it. I'm an open faith ordained minister and something that gets on my nerves is how people try to force their beliefs down someone's throat. You guys don't do that at all and I honestly enjoy that. Keep the faith and keep on Turnin' Rust !!!!

Seeing this old Alliss Chalmers brings back memories of driving one on my Aunt's steer farm. They grew their own feed and my two cousins used to let me drive their old AC tractor in the fields. Took some getting used to and I was just a kid but I loved every minute of it. I don't know how old their's was when I first started driving it but it was old lol. Built to last!

I've already loved the live streams!! It takes faith to make a live steam. A bunch could go wrong!! I'm sure she Will fire up!!

Allis Chalmers was produced in West Allis Wisconsin the factory has not been there for many many decades but my grandfather worked there and they also made engines and stuff for the war ships and more

Timing marks are on the flywheel. There should be an inspection plate under the bell housing. On the flywheel there are 2 marks. Set the mag to fire on the first mark.

I have stopped several times in my semi and looked things over...love what you guys do....I saw your pickup at home, and really don't want to disrupt your lives...would be fun to buy you a donut and coffee next door....God bless

Your video reminds me of my 1954 John Deere Model 60 that I've slowly been working on. We bought it as a tribute to our grandparents who would always frequent tractor and steam engine shows. I lost count of how many times I stopped by their home and would see them tinkering with one engine or another. Of course me being me I'd swing in and end up spending a few hours with them just talking small engines or tractors. Or going into their garage or grandpa's tractor room to see his collection of scale model tractors. Keep up the good work and hopefully we'll see a few more tractors on this channel 😊.

Lance, we used to have this heavy rubber strap with quick battery terminal connectors on each end that would slide over the battery posts. It would serve as a handle to then pick up the battery and remove/ install the battery..That goes back to the 1960's...

I grew up driving a WC. Right brake will stop the tractor just fine. In 4th it only goes 12mph. It was designed for farming, not going to walmart! The alternator, distributor and coil and mods some one has added. Original was a magneto, generator, and 6v battery. Full choke for one crank, turn off choke and crank by hand and it will be running in no time. I used to crank my grandfather's when I was an early teenager. His is a 1947 model. Still runs today! The pedal on the right trips the 2 row cultivator up or down. Takes 1/2 turn to raise or lower the cultivator. You have to turn the rear wheels around to mount the cultivator. That was a tough job for me and my twin brother, but we always got it done. I've plowed many acres using a 2 bottom trailer plow. It had a rope that tripped a mechanism on the plow that is the same as on the WC to raise or lower (trip) the plow. The straight muffler pipe will be deafening! Ha ha ha! I know! I miss those days!

I was a subscriber to Turnin Rust, and so letting you know that im a fan of both channels, and now a subscriber to both. and i have a wd allis 1948 model and i think the wc sounds STRONG.

I've been here for a while i love this channel I've been looking for your last channel and i could not find it but i found you on restored and then i found turning rust.

This may be inappropriate but I hope Restored Coffee is better than recycled toilet paper that I saw in our local grocery store the other day. 😀😁 Enjoy watching you guys and I'm older than Dad. We rebuilt way more than is done now. Also had a sand blaster to clean the spark plugs that was faster and better than a wire wheel or whatever you are using. Keep it up!!

I watched the AC Twin Engine video you did, and was very impressed that the engine actually did run on three pistons. In the video you said you were getting the fourth one to put in it. Did that ever happen? What did you do with the tractor?

If you take a flashlight and look at the rear axle casting between the frame and the differential housing right in front of the driver seat, there will be two casting numbers upside down. Those two digits will be the last two digits of the year the tractor was built. Also your tractor is what is called an “unstyled”. The last unstyled WC was 1938, so yours is ‘38 or older

How about the restored channel can be revival projects from mowers to big diesel trucks etc. and the turnin rust can be builds and catch up on old projects. Glad to see your back

The utility drives for those days came off the pto ,I believe those spools yall are looking at are the brake spools because they were placed forward of the bull gears for brakeing

I'm just now watching this video. I would have used a scope to see top dead center. The battery I would have used two box wrenches on each post lifting up words and lift battery out. God Bless y'all. Truck driver Rick.

Now you're making me proud, and sad too. That tractor was built in West Allis, Wisconsin. That's just southwest of Milwaukee, and where the Milwaukee Mile and Wisconsin State Fair is. AC is but one of the legacy manufacturers that died here. ps- Thanks for the quick shipping of the shirts! I'm planning to wear one to church tomorrow.

They used To make a strap with metal ends with holes that just fit over the battery posts to lift the battery .
