Arturia, hats off to everything you develop. The minibrute is my 3rd arturia device among mf and beatstep and i couldnt be happier. Cant wait to get my Rack and my first modules to mess with. ❤❤❤
Yep Arturia are really creative. I’ve got the MB2S, the 6u Rack (but not been able to put much in at the mo) and just waiting for a Drumbrute I got of eBay for £110 . I’ve recently discovered a musician on RU-vid called Rick Howell, he makes really good music with Arturia hardware.
This was fantastic. Thanks Arturia! I'm not quite as intimidated by my 2S now. I'm quite inspired, and I would love a video with the Rack Brute and modules with some patch ideas. This is a really exciting instrument!! Edit - I just found exactly this Rack Brute video. Awesome!!
Is it possible to add the function that will allow to turn all the step encoders at the same time (simultaneously) vs to turn each step-encoder step by step? I mean to turn the velocity for example for all the steps in one moment, because it is not so friendly to turn each one separately.
Hi! Great video! Could you tell me if you can use the Keystèp or other keyboard to insert notes (step rec or realtime rec) into 2S sequencer? Thanks a lot!

Do you mean transpose every notes simultaneously? I think Jakub show how to do that, but if I misunderstood your question, I suggest you to get in touch with our support team with this link: www.arturia.com/support/askforhelp I’m sure they will be able to help you :) Best regards.
Hey can anyone throw me a bone and tell me why you would want to use the ADSR envelope to control the amplitude instead of the AD? The only thing I can think of is it might be better for pads and drones. Also maybe you would want to free up the AD for something else although I don’t know what that could be. Any other reasons?
Hey! Maybe in the 9 months you learned to play it a bit more, but I can easily tell you some thigs: you can use the ad envelope - into the metalizer cv input - into filter cv so you have the adsr free to modulate smth else like pitch, volume of oscillator 2 thru the vca, amount of linear FM etc.. you can get so many different sounds out of that synth besides the synth basses and leads :D with the last tip you can get mallet sounds like so: envelope 1 --> VCA CV 1 vco 2 --> vca input 1 ad envelope --> attenuator 1 (or 2); note: put a patchcable into cutoff CV 2 or VCA CV 2 since they are normalled. attenuator 1/2 --> vca CV VCA output --> vco 1 lin FM if you tune vco 2 high and out of tune, and envelope 2 to a short release time you get some mallet sounds :D just one of many things you will find out when just experimenting.. Greets :D
Thx for the video. The minibrute 2s is a great machine, fantastic analog synth and cool sequencer. But, it is a constant battle to keep it in tune when playing with other instruments. Warm it up 30 minutes before using, like any analog synth, OK. Tune it correctly with the 2 rear panel pineholes, OK. Tune VCO 1, OK... Tune VCO 2, OK... Global tune, Hum... OK ! Do all this with an accurate tuner. And then, when you start to play it, tweak a few knobs (NEVER TOUCH MULTIPLE TUNE KNOBS !!!!) it puts it out of tune again. FM knob of the VC1 affects the pitch !!!! ----> out of tune ! Brute factor affects the pitch ----> out of tune ! Etc, etc... WHY ??? When you play live with other instruments in a dawless system or with other people, it is long to tune it correctly and then dangerous to tweak knobs, 20% of functions set it out of tune...
Hmm. I’m not gonna lie. I absolutely love my synth. It’s my first ever hardware synth ( minibrute 2) and I am happy beyond expectation. But I’m so glad that somebody brought this topic up. Because I was recording the other day. I went to over dub and it had gone out of tune, and I hadn’t touched my parameters..... 🤔
