I hope he reads your message. Maybe contact him direct? I would like to offer him the same if he ever visits Baguio City and Benguet if ever I am here.
Dude what really love about your video is how you interact with locals, going to small and unknown streets, and even play with them. Ive watch all your videos and enjoying them a lot!! Keep it up.
Hi Mergim, just a friendly tip. As much as we wanted to watch your videos early in the day, please upload your videos in the late afternoon between 5-7PM. I’ve noticed a lot of vloggers doing the same to gain more views because it’s the time the people are on their way home or already at home chilling. 😍😌😇
We call those type of secondhand stores “ukay-ukay” (u-kai). We have an ongoing joke that if someone asks you where you got the clothes you’re currently wearing, you just say UK instead (since it’s imported and it’s close to the word). I think those carinderias are not places to eat at since they don’t have spaces for diners. Most likely just a place for workers or nearby neighbors to buy food to take home rather than eat there.
You do what I do when I want to familiarize myself with a certain place or city. I just walk around and I think it's the best way to get to know a certain place or city and it's culture.
We bought our tickets yesterday for Manila from Manchester on October 1 for 1 month .We will do Bangkok for a week so can't wait .Keep on the great work I watch your blogs religiously
You know I studied in Cebu for a few years, Mergim? One of the schools was a few blocks from where you were walking. Thank you for giving me a chance to walk my past haunts with you! Enjoy!
I studied in one of the universities in Cebu for College a long time ago and since then the City has changed a lot. Your Fuente Osmeña walk is so nostalgic. It brings back memories. There from P. Del Rosario to Jones then to my Aunt’s home in V. Rama where I stayed on weekends to do my laundry coz you can’t do so much laundry in the dorm. It’s been a long time….
I took my licensure exam in cebu decades ago. I stayed near Cebu Doc and strolled the Fuente to Capitol to Guadalupe to Ayala areas. Been to Cebu again six years ago as part of my grad school activities. This story is indeed nostalgic for me too.
Hi Mergim, the vehicle that you saw at 0:42 is actually a modernized jeepney. The government plans to replace old jeepneys with these modern fleet since jeepneys cause a lot of air pollution and is very uncomfortable for passengers.
@general_sy...They're not modern jeeps as they don't resemble anything jeep.:-). Actually, they are called beep or simply small bus by proponents. It is the commuters who erroneously call them 'modern jeep'. Yes, the remaining old jeeps which are still running on Cebu streets would soon be gone as their license will not be renewed anymore by the city government after expiry.
Much more interesting videos. You are actually showing the everyday life of the common Filipinos and experiencing side streets, street kids and street food made by the locals. Even playing basketball with kids who have are wearing flip flops or no shoes. From an American who loves the Philippines.
OMG Mergim. That's my husband's hometown. I last visited the place in 2019 just before the pandemic hit. Such a beautiful place. They pretty much have everything there. The mountains and the beaches. You name it. I can't wait to visit the place again. Thank you so much for sharing this video Mergim. I love it when you played basketball with the local boys.
Waz up Mergim? When u went to this second hand store, it was funny when u commented “this shoes is better condition than what on my feet!” 😆. Filipino will love u so much u are not a fancy person, sooooo cool guy indeed (observed that ever since I followed u a few months ago). And u are the first vlogger that i watched playing with the locals. Enjoy and be safe. 👍🏼💪🏽
True Mergim. There’s a couple from SA and I think they’re here for 2/3 months? But yesterday they got 100K. We’re following you. ☺️ By thé and your more popular to the viewers. 😀
@@El_.5794 Not sure 3 mos. I said 2/3 as I think they’re around 2 months or +. Yes they’re so natural and I subs too. I don’t follow those type of dirty bloggers / promotors. But you know bloggers / subscribers have different projections. I want those who enjoyed our country and Culture. They’re also helping us in some ways so let’s help them.
The "bus" you keep on seeing are what we call as "Beep" its a hybrid between jeep and bus it it is fairly cheap between 10 -15 pesos depending on where you go. The person who usually stands and ask for the fair is called "conductor" and they will let you know how much the price is.
Hi Mergim, just a suggestion if you do get a chance to print some small cards that you can hand out to people when they ask about your RU-vid channel name will be handy. There Is a lot print company inside the shopping mall in case you are wondering. Thanks

Hello Mergim! I was laughing hard when u r taller than d roof of that street store ..😀 This video is longer this time..better create long videos like this..more interesting to watch..😊 ur a great basketball player ha!! May God bless u in ur Cebu journey!! Keep safe!😍😘
Hi Mergim, you are now familiar with "carinderias" or the side street eateries now let me add something to your Filipino vocabulary, this word is "sari-sari store", in Filipino the word "sari-sari" means variety so the small side street stores you see selling a variety of stuff from cigarettes to softdrinks, beers, snacks, cellphone prepaid load eggs, sugar, rice, condiments, vegetables So next time you need something to buy you can just ask for the nearest sari sari store.
Hope you explore the islands too. Try Canyoneering in Kawasan Falls, Cebu beaches etc. Try lechon in CNT or Zubuchon. After Cebu, you can ride the ferry to Bohol and check out the Chocolate Hills, Tarsier, loboc River and the islands like Balicasag where you can swim with the turtles if you are lucky. 😊
Just a chill video its nice, its like introduction.. I never been to Cebu and only see the place thru videos, so Mergim's Ph season 2 will be interesting knowing his different approach taking us along with him in his Cebu adventure.. 😁
@mergim vlogs hey i just noticed, when people ask what your vlog/youtube channel is, you dont give out a business card. I noticed that other vloggers who passed cards gets subscribers a lot faster. Just something I noticed with other vloggers. Thanks again for showing Cebu to the world
Hello Mergim, welcome back to the Philippines... hope you would stay for long.. we want you to experience Christmas in the Philippines and for sure you would enjoy it!! Nice video as always.. the quality is superb!!!

@@iflipover i was watching his previous vlog, he was vlogging in Thailand for 2 years and gained 6K subscribers…. While in PHILIPPINES the first time over 30K subscribers i think
Your vlog is really informative, you even know more than the other filipino like me😃the truth is im learning as well, glad watching it.thanks for coming back in the philippines, try to give printed card with your you tube name, it will help to widen more your subscriber. Stay safe & blessed from ireland.
We called it Adobong Mani... Deep fried nuts. You will be loved by the Filipinos everywhere you go because you know how to interact with the locals with respect.
@@libra7765 actually in Cebu and in Visayas most of our parents call deep fried chicken as adobo. And adobo in tagalog is humba in Visayas, which is kinda similar but only sweeter.
The house of lechon is great but if you really wann see and feel the authentic lechon experience i suggest you go to carcar market and experience lechon there. The house of lechon is a resto while carcar market you get the nitty and gritty of it!
First day, already on the court playing B-Ball! Love it. I’m sure you’ll be recommended to go see Fort San Pedro, like Manila’s Fort Santiago. You definitely have to see Magellan’s Cross. Cebu most known for the Santo Niño, the Holy Child, and their famous week-long festival *_Sinulog_* which is like a ginormous carnaval, every January.
Speaking of basketball, many BBall pinoy fans all over the world will be tuned-in on TV and internet tomorrow to witness the first home-grown Filipino to be drafted in NBA. First time ever in history. He's 20 yr old 7' 2" Kai Sotto. :) It'll be just as festive as the Philippines winning Miss Universe. :)
Mergim, Mabuhay! Yes just enjoy walk around and feel the place. Jeepneys in Cebu is different than in Manila. Library is closed sad and maybe its 12nn break time, I guessing Second hands shoes clothes are called Ukay-ukay. Peanuts - mani is the tagalog. Pansit yes i do eat it like what you did when I am hungry hehe. Happy to see you again playing basketball wit the locals Take care always ❤️🙏🏾🇵🇭
