Jimmy Hill got this wrong, didn't he? But he did correctly say that Liverpool were in a transitional phase (which didn't go well). IIRC, there was still a lot of expectation at this time that they should be challenging for the league.

I will never ever forget this game. Walters with 7mins to go. Under 20,000 at Anfield, 13,000 in the Kop, never made so much noise!
