@@7bestthings And thanks for this video! Will definitely visit Liverpool now. We'll be heading to England next year. We also thought we'd visit Abbey Road studios and the zebra crosswalk while in London. Can't get enough of the lads ... was lucky enough to be around for their entire meteoric career ... and seeing Ringo in L.A. this summer ...
@@davidbowman4259 Yes, Liverpool is an amazing city to visit, especially for Beatle fans! And you will definitely want to see Abbey Road and make the crossing! Thanks for your kind words and thanks for watching!
The greatest band of all time the greatest song writers of all time the greatest artists of all time and we’ll I could go on for ever on how the fab 4 were the greatest at everything ❤❤ LOVE U BEATLES ❤❤❤❤
I agree but like I said and we’ll Facts said that they are the greatest band /artists/song writers of all time. Of ALL time Literally no other artist or band to come will be better or even come close to the Beatles
So glad that I stumbled upon this video! I will be there 4 weeks from now fulfilling a lifelong dream of a 68 year old Beatles fan from Indianapolis, IN, USA!
Great video. For George’s house- maybe more significant is his 2nd house- 25 Upton Green. He was there from 6-19 years old. Beatles rehearsed there regularly
No he didn't but seeing you mention the blueshite Adolf Hitler was often spotted at woodison Park when he lived in Liverpool 8 with his uncle in the early 1900s fact 😉
What a great video. I’ve been a Beatle fan since 1964 always love them guys. They were my favorite band of all times and still are I play their music on guitar it’s not easy playing it finger style. People say Beatles music isn’t hard to play. It all depends on the way you play it. George Harrison was a very talented guitarist, one of the best I sure miss George and John I wish they would’ve lived longer so we could see what they had done in the future. May they rest in peace. And long live Paul and Ringo and they’re doing a pretty good job of that. I’m glad they’re having a nice long life. I wish them the best.👍🏼😄🎸😄
Yes, their music is great and timeless! They were four very talented people who worked incredibly hard. Thank you for your kind words and thanks for watching!
My mum was from Liverpool and I grew up with the Beatles. Almost felt related! Love to go back to take in the atmosphere and sites. Ringo's old street has been renovated now and his old house is a community space. I've visited both Paul and John's homes twice. Such a thrill.
Liverpool is a great city to visit! Unfortunately, the Gothic Victorian house that was the orphanage is no longer standing. It has been replaced with a John Lennon exhibit, which looks very interesting. I was not able to visit the exhibit, one more reason to go back to Liverpool...
You see people reading this I just want you to know this is the thing I love about Beatles is all part of it what I mean by that is a fat they weren't rich they were just normal boys who loves rock and roll music and wanted to aspire to just released a record I think a lot of musicians in the pool did one to do that at that time in the 60s they didn't know they were going to be the biggest thing since Elvis Presley as far as I'm concerned they were better than Elvis Presley they were the true kings of rock and roll they proved it by a having 17 number one hits the most influential bands in history even now new groups are star by think a lot of them look at The Beatles I think that's who we want to be we want to get to that success if we can I've always love the beatles maybe a bit romantically I even think that maybe in the afterlife they can still play on there is a big stage in the sky when I'm no longer in this body of mine I will go and visit The Beatles play once again anyone reading this no I'm not a lunatic I could be wrong only time will tell just hopefully not yet
Loved your video. Last time I was In Liverpool was 1997. The Magical Mystery Tour was then on an old 60s Leyland Coach, just like the 1967 original. Nothing beats that old smell. It’s amazing to see how the attractions have developed in and around the city. I really think this beautiful city needs another visit. Peace and Love 💗
Thank you for the kind words! I think Liverpool has added many attractions in the last few years and they are continuing to develop more. I think it would be definitely worth a return visit! Thanks for watching!
I would add to your top 7 the Eleanor Rigby statue on downtown Liverpool and those statues of the 4 that are close to the docks. Visiting Liverpool is truly a fan’s dream come true
Great point, there are more awesome Beatle sites to see in Liverpool than fit on a "7 Best" list! Those are great additions! I agree, visiting Liverpool is a great experience for any fan! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this great video. Last summer I visited Liverpool and yes, you showed all things that are really important there for an admirer of the Beatles.
Great video thank you .been to Liverpool a few times and 2 on the Magical mystery tour bus .well worth going on .and the museum is fantastic to visit..have a photo with the Beatles statues .love Liverpool.
You’ve probably seen it already, but check out Car Pool Karaoke when Paul and James Corden do Liverpool. Highlights include a surprise visit to Paul’s childhood home, and a pop up gig in a pub.
Love that "Carpool Karaoke" with Paul, that was one of the best moments of network television I've seen in years! That gig in the pub was fantastic! Thanks for watching!
John wished that what made him happy in his childhood could be given to to every child, so he sung "fields"', 'forever" thus meaning also 'for every one".
Thanks for these great pictures! I have one quibble - you mention a tour bus, but not the church where the Quarrymen played and Paul met John, and where Eleanor Rigby's grave is located? I'd put St Peter's Church as possibly the #1 destination in Liverpool for Beatles fans. Great job!
You have a great point! Although I saw the church I didn't have a chance to explore that area, so I didn't include it on my list. I will have to go back to explore St. Peters and more of Liverpool! Thanks for watching!
@@7bestthings Not only is St Peter's a great place, but the people there are really nice too. I was hunting for Eleanor Rigby's grave, and a nice groundskeeper came up to me and asked if I wanted to see the hall where Paul and John first met. (The Quarrymen were there that day!) Keep up the good work!
To the uploader, as a massive Beatles fan myself, and someone from nearby Manchester who has visited Liverpool many times (and though you see it through rose-tinted specs, believe me that this city is even more of a sh*thole than mine outside the touristy bits) I got a bit teary upon hearing that you went around Penny Lane singing it with a coach full of likewise folks. I presume that is a regular occurrence but I never thought of it before.
Hi ! I am French i am 68 and i love the Beatles !!! What a wonderful surprise to see their Home Town!!! I went to England several times but unfortunately never to Liverpool!!! Thank you for this very interesting video !!! It's worthy!!! Stay Safe! God Bless ! Denis...
Yes, that's a good point. They attempted to excavate the original but structurally it would have been unsafe. This is a rebuilt Cavern Club, as close to the original footprint as possible using many of the original bricks. Thanks for watching!
It's almost as if The Beatles lived in our hometown of Ross, CA! They were so much part of our lives -- it's as if ......"I'm as you as you are me and we are all together!" The Fabs were intertwined in our lives. We felt what they felt. Our enthusiasm was theirs. We virtually shared D.N.A. (psychic; spiritual;socio-cultural at least!). LOVE 'EM & ALWAYS WILL! * Cav *
I definitely want to go to Liverpool now. What travel packages did you use? What's the best way to travel to Liverpool from, say, Oakland or San Francisco?
Thanks for watching! Liverpool is a great place to go for any Beatle fan. I didn't use any packages. I flew out of Chicago and landed at Heathrow (London) and took the train to Liverpool. There is a closer airport in Manchester. I made reservations at the Hard Days Night hotel through their website. It was a great place to stay since it is right next door to the Cavern and walking distance to Albert Dock where you can go to the Beatles Story and pick up the Magical Mystery Tour. I bought tickets for the Magical Mystery Tour and Beatles Story in advance through their website. Hope that helps!
Wow!!!! Brilliant video! We have been and done the tour. I was at school when the Beatles came to fame and all we talked about was the Beatles. 🎸🎸🎸🥁. Even now when hearing their music it makes me feel good and remembering those early years. Even my kids, now all grown themselves, are fans - they had no choice for when they were young I played all their albums to them of which I have every one up until the White Album. Thanks again for the memories
Your welcome Valerie, thanks for the kind words! I am so glad to hear you have passed down your love for the Beatles to your kids! The Beatles' music is timeless and able to span generations. Thank you for watching!
I just want to say are you sure the street is called highpoint Street because I can't seem to see it on Google Maps I can see Highfield Street I'm asking because when I went to go to Liverpool I would like to take a picture that Muriel with it still there
Sorry about that, it's actually High Park Street in Liverpool. It's at the intersection of High Park Street and Admiral Grove in the Toxteth section of Liverpool. I hope you are able to see it in person, it is amazing!

@@harrisonheart5043 That's awesome that you met Paul and Julian and your mom met Ringo, I've seen Paul in concert but have never met any of the Beatles in person. Thanks!
Great question! Yes, there is a fee to take the Magical Mystery Tour and to get into the Beatles Story. There was a cover charge when I went to the Cavern Club as well, but that probably depends on the day you go. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much, that’s so cool! I’ve been a Beatles fan from the start. I grew up in Germany, and that’s where I first heard “I want to hold your hand”. I can’t even describe the impact it had on me. It’s like going from gray scale to full technicolor! Perhaps I need to stop in Liverpool on my next trip to Europe! That looks like such a great tour! Very well done, great video! Say, is there a Rolling Stones Tour in London? 🙂
Thank you for your kind words, I agree the Beatles are awesome! Liverpool is definitely a great place to see for any Beatles fan, I really enjoyed my time there. I'm not sure about a Rolling Stones tour, but that would be fun! Thanks for watching!
It is. I took the tour on May 26, 2024. Also went to Cavern Club, the national trust tour of John and Paul's homes and the Albert Dock. Took a quick train trip to London to get my picture taken on the Abbey Road Crossing. I have checked off the only thing on my bucket list and will pass from this world with a satisfied smile on my face. It was worth every penny it took to make it come true.
Oh, can I just mention that 'Liverpool 7...' as you headlined is topical right now. I'm from the blue half of Manc and thus LOVED the Scousers 7-0 over ManUre today.
