Szoboszlai should perhaps be reminded of Bob Paisley's sage advice - “If you’re in the penalty area and aren’t quite sure what to do with the ball, stick it in the net and we’ll discuss your options afterwards!”.
to be fair, his first dribble wasnt bad..granted he should have just booted it, but he had one of the defenders dummied, but couldnt control..but i would rather pull him up for not passing to nunez when he was open in acres of space. This happened a couple of times against Brentford too..He is specifically not passing to nunez...
Gotta love the post match interview where slot coldly and logically dissected Ten Hags tactics live on air 🤣 Keane looked both astonished and impressed
I think slot needs to be more guarded about these things because he needs the surprise element and then the figuring us out situation, before the game and during it, this will be faster for our enemies to realize.❤
@@checktheskies5040 Agreed 💯 He needs to inflict the damage before he gets sussed out. Every time he speaks tactics I wince. ' give them nothing...take everything'. 😂 I love that the pundits are really struggling to explain his tactics. Everyone is giving a different take on what he's up to. 😊
Slot is taking Klopp's team to another level. Less chaos in defense, more physicality in the midfield, and better decision-making in front of goal. Classic rock over heavy metal! 😎
Jota's awareness in the buildup to the first goal was unreal. He glances over his shoulder, sees the back post is completely unmarked, and gestures to TAA and Salah with a neat little flick of the hand over his head.
If watching Klopp ball is a like a heavy metal rock concert where you are literally spent after the match is over, Slot ball is like getting out from an escape room..dont panic, look for clues decipher them, unlock the door and get out...after 8 years of watching robertson bomb forward like Usain bolt, he was having a party yesterday staying in his own half and covering the counters...
There's nothing quite so good as a good, determined gush. I'm still cleaning up mine!! Did you catch Diogo when he took players with him before the first goal and then pointed over his shoulder to Mo to tell him to cross over to the far post? THAT'S being aware is that! Goodun' AC!! 👍👍👍
I think people forget that Slot nearly won the Eredivisie with Alkmaar before COVID ended their season. Alkmaar had won only 2 Eredivisie titles before that, for me that was more impressive than his Feyenoord win. But, what a start to the season, Lucho's second goal was just pure bliss, such a tight angle finish, a 13/10 on the fkn yes scale.
There's a big difference, we aren't Everton fans. I am a MASSIVE believer that they willed that 2-3 into existence. Seriously. You see how some of them have talked over the past few years, they're almost masochistically satisfied with seeing Everton be Everton. If you're playing for the Blues, and the crowd energy you're feeding off of is fucking Goodison's crowd? No shit you end up squandering a 2 goal lead. We don't do that to our lads, home or away, no matter the performance.
Great video, and I’d also add - no injuries - I realise that we’re not playing mid week yet, but the style of play looks better for a lower injury count
3:47 The pass is sublime - through the eye of a needle. But Diaz’s movement - the tiny little backward step to create a yard or two is clever. He’s getting better at that cute movement. The one-step-forward dummy run, which the defender swallowed and half digested it before he realised he’d been had hook, line and sinker, was enough. You can even see the defender after “tracking” the run, he sticks his arm out thinking he’s going to be touch tight. When he didn’t feel Diaz there he even had a quick glance over his shoulder. It was at that moment the defender knew he hadn’t just farded - he’d shidded. If you step one way you get a yard. If you dummy the defender and he steps one way and you take a step in the opposite direction - two yards. Enough for that type of key chance to develop and he’s improving on taking them. Fair play, Slot is improving certain attributes of certain players. Early days but the signs are encouraging. YNWA.
You’ve joined an exclusive club for me mate, I reflexively click like when I open the video! Love a bit of positivity from a LFC RU-vidr instead of the usual whinging about signings! Hope you keep smashing it and become a massive channel! Also is your brother Tony the comedian dude? 😂
As routine wins go, that was very much the dictionary definition. A manager in his third season, after spending over £500m, against Slot in his third game. I know which shaven headed Dutch manager I'd want in charge of my team.
On that first Lucho goal, you gotta give credit to Szobo for hearing the call and ducking/leaving it to Lucho! Aesthetics yeah, you're right but also a bit of technical decision making from the man who puts the hung in Hungarian
I appreciated Dom ducking at the last minute, made the whole thing more dramatic looking back at it, like straight out of a movie in slow mo too, it added to the aesthetic, it was pure drama man.
Yeah actually i could have spun that the other way... i was just so worried we'd got in our own way i couldnt shake it! Great that he was actually able to get out of the way.
Was not the right bloke.Chiesa sprinted over here like he got the golden ticket.Never seen a player so chuffed to be in the band.Gonna be deadly in this system of play.@@andycantwell
Xabi Alonso and Zubimendi are in a group chat cryarsin about making the stupidest decisions of their lives. It’s that scruffy drug flat meme: “bell Edwards again lad”
Back when Bob Paisley inherited that team from Shanks, that legacy that he left behind, he became the best manager in the world at the time; and we all know who inherited that big legacy that Klopp left behind
Maybe that's why Liverpool din't spent money.. to keep Mo and Trent. Gravenberch. It's Graaaaaven berggggg It's old dutch From the sl.... t No I'm not going to say it.
Gotta say, the first thing that came to my mind after buzzing about the win is "I can't wait for Andy's reaction to this match!" Thank you for being yourself; your passion for the club makes being a Liverpool fan more fun!
Great video brother....I was also a wee bit nervous before the match. Thinking to myself as shite as Man U are it's still a huge game and anything can happen. The inevitable did with the Egyptian King Lighting Up OT with his beaming smile and electric football ⚽️ 🔥 YNWA 🔥
Fkn back at ya Andy 😊loved the content great 2c Trent strut his stuff with a smile 🤞 fingers crossed lads come back from internationals in one peace ynwa
Best game so far! I really love the Lucho song! It's my first time hearing it, is it new!? forgive me for not being up to date, I don't usually do social media
Thing was, this is STILL not really us at our level best yet. Slot's still spotting instances of rashness in our build-up. But, he's seeing the best out of our leaders, who've taken to his playstyle immediately. Obviously a lot will get said about Salah talking about his contract, but honestly that's neither here nor there to what else he's been saying; he's gone out of his own way to give two interviews already this season, and has had nothing but positive things to say about the squad and set-up. Virgil, too, appears to be giving that extra 10% more to be vocal about leading the rest of the lads. They clearly see this as a very, very good system to play under, and whilst they're still in their peak era, and surrounded by a pretty well stacked set of players, they can smell this season (and hopefully other seasons as Reds) as one where we really go and push in all competitions. Are we favourites? No. But, are we title contenders? Yeah. Same as we were last season, same as we have been for several seasons. Because our squad is immense. Which, everyone outside our own fanbase (and some within) seems to have forgotten. Do we have the second hardest fixture list in the Champion's League? Yeah. Are any of us even remotely concerned with our chances of progressing past this weird league phase into the knockout stages? No. I'm not holding Slot under and scrutiny to produce silverware this season (tbh a League Cup or an F.A. Cup is never going to be unwelcome, but rn they are not the benchmark of what we want to achieve with lads like Salah, Trent, Virgil, Alisson etc in our squad), but I do want to see a formed squad and playstyle that contends with City, Madrid, Bayern etc. And he's already showing that he wants that too, and knows how to make it happen. Up the Fucking Reds!!!
Love your humour. As a fellow lfc fan i relate to 100% of what you say. I hope and think salah will stay, pls god. And yea when trent scored i fell into the trap of old skool celebrating without considering var
They looked GREAT yesterday, like it was something to behold, just the whole performance. Last year they looked great on the attack a lot of times but then they'd give up a couple goals, but this year they just look solid so far.
Slot is next level... standing on the shoulders of Klopp and Fsg.. Hes another who makes those around him feel good and in turn makes better stakk from players to tea person and Diaz just proves it,, after what happen to his family last year this is just the tonic he needed cos i agree he wasn`t quite there, ... But now its like "Go Fuck Yourself!!" ./.....Delighted!!
that 😊 and quiet hum of background noise along with the 👏 satisfaction at the beginning is 😂,fuckin yes 10 for everyone today, with your blessing Andy of course. YNWA
It’s like this new baldy fella has removed all the bullshit from football and given the players a very clear brief to just do these things well and you’ll win. It’s unbelievably pragmatic.
Only really enjoy goals that are 100% guaranteed to celebrate now 😅 Neville killed Maino on commentary as well, which makes Salah’s goal even more 🔥 Winning at Old Trashford is always the best feeling 💪🔴
From what I get with the Salah thing at the end of the match, is that he's trying to say "last year of my contract" but without English being his first language, there's a little bit of lost in translation going on
FSG, if you're listening, just write up three year contract and let Mo fill in the numbers. He's one of the best to ever play for us and that is really saying something. Worse comes to worst you can sell him to a Saudi club for probably a hundred mill in two years, and he leaves us with some great memories and good will in our hearts. Best case scenario, he finishes his career at Anfield with a few more trophies in the cabinet and gets a stand named after him.
Good lord, if Robbo picks up an injury on this break, I'm personally flying over there to have words with the responsible party. Y'all stop hurting our mans!
My favorite thing about the match was the calm and ruthless manner the team dispatched United. Sure, this is a very weakened United team, but they have hurt us in the past regardless.
Seems like Slot has scrutinized our frailties and inability to control games last season and found a solution that works. We played right into Banter uniteds counter attacking style of play last season and they punished us. Yesterdays game totally nullified Hag tactically and united where lost with no plan B at all. Seeing the theatre of screams silently empty five minutes into the second half after all their fans giving it large all week was joyous. "you're finished without Klopp they said", NO you're finished with Ten Hag at the wheel! Give him a five year contract please! 🤣🤣🤣 YNWA Andy FKN YESSsss!
Just on Drury, Sky want their commentators to be more subdued when the away team scores. I know people will cry United bias but he does it for all games now
