NO DOUBT....best vid I have seen on this process. Precise and complete information delivered. Just what I needed. Thanks so much. You are a very talented young man.
Came across this video and now I know exactly what I need to upgrade my live streamed performances. Thanks so much! Also, dope music too my g. Definitely gonna check out more of your music! Liked & subbed.
Thank you so much. The speakers I'm using are the Harbinger 15" which I got from Guitar Center. Keep in mind the audio you're hearing in this video is NOT coming from the speakers. Those are only heard by me when I'm performing, but the music and mic inputs are coming from the mixer and going directly into the computer.
Hey mate, I definitely may need some good help on a one to one chat. Unfortunately not sure how I can drop you my contact so that we can arrange for a zoom chat so that you guide me on what is challenging me. First and foremost, I have all the equipment you mentioned but I keep encountering different issues. I managed to fix rendering lag issues and now my videos are smooth and perfect. I also encountered the off sync issues between the audio and video and that is fixed. But the main issue is syncing my mic audio/video with my playback audio which sounds far ahead. That’s my first problem. Second, I have KRK monitor which are connected to my Yamaha 12 channel mixer for monitoring but the issue is my mic audio also picks the sound from the speakers and it’s total crazy. Thirdly my usb cable of the mixer takes two audios of the playback/microphone even if my microphone are turned off you can see the the metering of the audio input in the obs going up. Like I said this need a one to one guide probably and I will greatly appreciate. Greetings from Malaysia.
Wow this video help me we have same equipment. I should try it if I'm not busy, lastly I try this part it's sound annoying and the video is very lag I hope it works by this video.
Hey dude, super dope tutorial, love what you're doing here. I just opened a studio and want to start streaming sessions to youtube. I've got all the hardware, cameras, interfacs, OBS ready to go. My hang up is what platform should I stream to? I also want to be able to give the bands a chance to earn tips. What is the best way to go about this, and are there any concerns like copyright, licensing etc..? Appreciate it!
Great video. Question! What computer are you using? Make, model...I have a MacBook and due to the software being older, El Capitan, Sierra, I cannot use OBS because they are not compatible. Also my Canon M50 is not compatible with the software either. Should I get the capture card? I need a computer that can do both.
Great video - But what kind of cable did you use from the mixer to your computer with OBS? You said USB but what end is connected to the mixer? Can you be more specific? Thanks!
amazing video. I am looking to put on live events and comedy shows with pretty much the same setup. I am concerned about feedback loops with the stream. I'll let you know how it goes. Great video.
Just have a good mic, like the one I mentioned, that does a good job rejecting sound, and make sure the person doesn't point the mic at the speakers and you should be fine. Also you can point the speakers away from the mic.
Your sound is great, im using a laptop with one input for the Mixer, and the sound when im streaming using OBS facebook is not the same when streaming directly from my ipone with the mixer connected to the phone. Is there any special setup on the OBS to make my auido sound as well as the iphone ? due to my laptop only have one input, i used Roccat Juke to detect my audio in from the mixer Yamaha 10
@@DoubtMeTech not directly, but from my mixer i have an adaptor from TRS down to 3.5 and then from 3.5 connected to a usb sound card Roccat joke which one side is 3.5 for mic and the other side USB. My laptop detected the USB card and audio is now detected from the mixer to my laptop OBS, but the quality is not as good as i wish
Finally a video that has most of the info I needed. I deal with 8 mics or more, want to hear it in the room and broadcast with the best audio quality. Do 2 hour events. Didn't have any videos that showed using speakers on in the room. I don't have a usb mixer so heard I can use other outs on board to go in somehow to computer (banana plugs was it to 1/8th inch perhaps. Have to research that unless you know about it. I also need to have a guest in another location that is non musical but may give a little 2 minute talk and has a visual live stream. Do you know how to do that with it? Also, wanted to know, my drummer is doing another gig with 2 other people and needs to broadcast 2 other people and all of them will be in different locations in isolation. Wanted to use OBS if possible. Do you know of any way to do that or another platform to do that with that is not crappy sound. Thanks, you are the best. I really appreciate this video.
If you're using 8 mics, you will definitely need a mixer with 8 inputs (ideally 8 XLR mic inputs) that also works as an audio interface. The same mixer i have, but the larger version with more inputs will work good. In regards to having others on the livestream that are in different locations, they will need to have their setup for video/audio all set up as well for high quality, but you will most likely have to do a zoom or some type of party livestream and then you can add that feed to OBS to broadcast where you would like. I have a video that shows how to add a window into your obs livestream. Unfortunately OBS does not do direct inputs for multiple users, so you have to have ppl on a different app such as zoom or Skype, and add that livestream window into OBS
@@DoubtMeTech - yes I already have that, it's mainly about the fact that it is not USB in, and that I have to hook it up to the Mac another way. Also that I need to get a guest into the broadcast that doesn't need quality audio. Only I do as I am the musician
Is the guest performing or just talking? If your mixer doesn't connect via USB, then you will need a usb audio interface that your mixer can connect to
Hey, helpful content! Thanks!! One question - where on the mixer do you have the speakers connected (the big ones used for monitoring during the live performance)? I am using a yamaha MG10XU and using 1/4 inch cables to connect the mixer to my EV speakers. I have a 1/4 inch L and R available at a section labeled "Monitor out" as well as "Stereo out" on the mixer. On your behringer mixer - I suppose the equivalent is the "control room out" or "main outputs". I am guessing I can't use the "stereo out"/"main outputs", because then the level which I set on the "stereo out" for the live stream will need to be manipulated for the in studio monitoring? So "control room out"/Monitor out is the way to go?
I have the same question...L R stereo outs ... for a Kareoke style Livestream, one could use the import if s phone jack like he does for the backing, and sing into the mic channel in ob's... Thoughts?
@@MAntisLew1 hi! Actually what I realized is that having any kind of speakers for monitoring the live performance really compromises the quality due to the feedback - no matter how hard you try to control it. The best solution I found was using in ear monitoring. :)
@@musicbyswati should I stream the music and sing through the mixer, and use ear monitors to hear the music; this the music and singing through the OBS program will sound clean?
Hi brother you are amazing and it was quite informative video however the connectivity part is still not clear to me. Kindly can you post the pictures or diagram depicting the exact connectivity??
@@DoubtMeTech so if i am just trying to play solo guitar for a live stream, its gonna be wa simpler than your setup. I get that...do I need to use an encoder like OBS? If not, it will be out of synch....true? Thanks!
The audio/video de sync happens when the video and audio inputs are from 2 different sources. If your audio is coming in from your video camera, then everything will be synced. If you're using a mixer with a mic input connected independently from the video source, then you will need to follow my sync tutorial video
Just curious what your computer processor is ( How many Cores), and what is your Ram memory? What do you think is acceptable to livestream in HD quality. Thanks again.
I have 48 GB ram, GTX 1070 Ti with 8 GB graphics card, AMD Ryzen 7. For livestreaming I think you'll be fine with 32 GB Ram, 1060 graphics card or higher with 6 GB, higher end i5 or Ryzen 5 (i7 or Ryzen 7 would be ideal). It depends on how complex your equipment is and how much it requires from the computer. But most computers around $1,400 and up will do fine. Multicam livestream you might want something a little more powerful
Hey bro awesome tips there i have to do live stream on Facebook/Instagram how do I approach that using OBS ? Does it has to prerecorded and later upload it or I can just go directly live with OBS? Please let me know.
Yo question I know this isn’t a obs tutorial but if you could help, what service and key stroke did you use too set up this live stream you posted? 😅 I’m super confused do I use RU-vid?
nice job bro! can i use more than two cameras ? I only have 16gb of ram, my cpu its a xeon 2689, and gpu rx 570 8 gb do you think it's okay to stream at 720p30 or 60 .
I think your computer should do ok with multicam, but maybe add some more ram. Watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-86qfnK11S0A.html Then watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--7dUqgbGpxc.html
If you get something like the Atem Mini, you can do 4 cams and switch between them. The device does all the encoding and outputs a usb signal that your computer can handle easily for OBS, etc.
This was extremely helpful, I learned a lot. Question: my backing track will be coming from my phone as well. What size jack would I need to connect my phone to my mixer (Scarlett Solo 3rd gen)?? My guess is the same size jack as headphones but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance!
@@DoubtMeTech yes it only has 2 input jacks. It also has an XLR connector, Im plugging my mic into that. Basically all my audio is feeding into the mixer which is plugged to my laptop: mic, track (via cell phone) and headphones. Idk what jack to use to connect my phone to the mixer though..
The only way to do it to have your phone connect is to get a 3.5mm stereo cable to a 1/4 inch jack (mono or stereo, either one works because by default that input will be mono)
Hi, great video. I wonder if you know these answers? If I did a livestream, with a mic, Presonus 96 mixer which is basic and has no reverb. Can I a. Have the backing track from the same laptop which is livestreaming? b. Use a software on the pc, to create reverb? Thanks
It's probably possible to have the backing track play from the computer, however the problem is that since now your mic and backing Track are not from the same source, you will have a delay, and you will have to offset the audio from one of the devices to syncb. The reverb aspect I'm not too sure to be honest. Also I'm not sure how powerful your computer is to be able to hand the inputs and livestream along with post audio effects. I would recommend trying to get all your audio coming in from a mixer. Unfortunately I don't have a definite answer for your questions as I've not tried it with your setup
I have a question.. in my church we have 4 mics? a piano and piano mic all connected to a qu32 and I was wondering why can I only hear the piano/mic playing on the Livestream on RU-vid and everyone else sounds muffled
Hey I have a Lumix camera and the elgato HD60 but no Hdmi cable to connect the lumix to the elgato. The hdmi port on my camera is a small one. Do i need ro buy an adapter ? Thank you already if you answer
@@DoubtMeTech That is interesting. For me I'm using a Mac Book pro and I needed an audio software like soundflower to read my mixer. Is it an Apple vs Windows thing? Thanks again!!
I use an mbox pro via firewire to my pc. I have everything connected but there's a latency with my mic when I monitoring my voice in headphones. It's not when Imbdoing the transmission it's before if I sing I listen my voice a couple mms later. What can I do? I have a good processor and enough ram.
@@DoubtMeTech I couldnt find the knob you said my interface is an mbox 3 pro and It has a control panel. I'll try to check those settings to see if it works. I'll let you know if it works 🤞
Hello! We’re using Windows and we want to livestream our church live worship using OBS? We have focusrite as interface and using studio one. But somehow won't work. Hope you can help us. Thanks!
I have the small speakers as my output for the computer sounds. So if play back any sound on my computer, they go to the small speakers. I have the big speakers connected to the mixer. So the microphone and any inputs on the mixer get output to the big speakers. When I'm streaming, I turn off or completely lower the volume on the small speakers so you don't hear an echo from the computer. But when I stop streaming and I want to go back to hearing my computer, I listen on the small speakers
I NEED HELP! I am trying to live stream while I record music! I use fl studio and focusrite interface. I can get the audio from fl studio into my obs without changing my audio settings which then causes latency into the microphone! anybody know how to fix it please help
Hello! I have behringer xenyx qx1202usb.. I have connected via usb but it not send me back to laptop the main voice to record.. Maybe i must out in boutton to my mixer as to ctl room or something?? Greadings from greece! 👋👋👋👋
@@DoubtMeTech yes but something happens with this button.. If u see my mixer there has 3 buttons.. Witch of them should be on and witch off? Thanx man..! 🎷🎤🎸👋👋
@@DoubtMeTech thank u very much! 2 last question! For a live performance on youtube with this mixer and playback music from laptop is better to send from laptop to a channel the music or to a mic with 2 jack 6.5 to one..? And the mic to witch level leave and gain too! Thanxxxxxx! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
If you follow the steps on this video, I mention using a mixer. The mixer I use has for 4 microphone inputs. You can mic up 4 instruments/people into the mixer. If you need more microphones, you can get a bigger mixer with more mic inputs
Quick question, in what way do are you interested in using smartphones with a high performance camera? Please explain a little bit more about what you're interest is so I can make sure to focus on exactly what you're looking to learn
@@DoubtMeTech I am planning of doing a cover. I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and wanting this device to use as input camera. I tried using IPCam and added it to the scene in OBS via websource but sometimes has delays. Btw, I am using Alesis Mixer USB 4 to have my condenser mic working for my audio input.
