Instagram as finally enabled RTMP livestreaming, which allows us to use OBS Studio and other RTMP livestreaming Software to livestream to Instagram without needing the Instagram app.
All you need to to is set-up OBS Studio on your computer, log-in to Instagram, click on create then Live video. Instagram will then provideo you with the RTMP URL as well as Stream Key needed for OBS studio to directly livestream to Instagram.

hello, it seems like many people are having the same problem I've followed everything in the video, but Instagram won't accept the live stream I made sure my OBS was fine, because I tried going live to RU-vid, it worked perfectly I've tried changing the encoding, to h264, it still doesn't work does anyone know where the problem is?

Hey, Im facing a weird issue where my stream works great for about 30 mins or so, and then ends by itself I'm doing a live dj set so I have to open up another apps while I stream at the same time but my network is strong and stable. Do you have any idea how to fix this issue?

Great video. Thank you verymuch 🎉 I broadcast live for the first time today ( dj set), I followed the steps you mentioned one by one and it was very successful. I only received a small feedback from the audience and that was about the broadcast sound being mono. If OBS indicated Stereo in the mixer this must be a Instagram issue. To make sure double-check the audio portion of the OBS settings menue.

Can we stream normal to RU-vid and use the Aitum plugin that does the vertical stream (i live stream vertical on RU-vid already) and have that vertical content sent to IG?

RTMP Streams are always delayed. That's how they work. The Audio loop probably comes from your OBS picking up your own stream when previewing it with audio on.

It depends what your goal is and the produced content is. For smooth operation of OBS a basic entry gaming computer with dedicated graphics card is fine. For your audio an inexpensive USB microphone can be enough or if you move around a lot a wireless lav mic might be the right choice For the camera anything from a inexpensive USB webcam all the way up to the more expensive vertical camera with 20x optical zoom I used can work. You technically could even hook an entire TV mixing setup up to this. It really depends on what you want to do. On my channel there are some Videos about equipment maybe you get an idea of what you want there.

Yes in the sense that your OBS needs to have access to the internet in order to reach the Instagram servers.

This doesn't really have to do anything with the content of this video. - If you need to be able to pause and resume a local recording, you can switch to the advanced output settings.

Not really, you can try to take away any processing work on Instagram's end by getting as close to their recommended settings as possible.

I’m using my iPhone as a camera device, I’ve followed all of the instructions and it’s working great EXCEPT, one problem I’m having is the preview/footage Is always defaulting to landscape in portrait, So to footage is always sideways, even when I rotate my iPhone no matter which way it’s being held it adjusts itself to stay sideways Help 🤣

What do you mean? Chat appears on the website as soon as you go live and is displayed over the video in the instagram client for viewers.

No, this is how to stream to Instagram. For TikTok you need to be a verified creator that gets access to the RTMP Streaming first before using OBS for streaming.

If there is no message popping up on Instagram itself your only was would be to use a paid third party streaming service to Instagram which we also covered in the past on the channel.
