It's called "St. George's sword" where I live (espada de San Jorge) , and we usually have it near our doors to protect our homes from negative energy. It looks like yours is rotting away :( please keep in mind that it's a plant that doesn't need too much water, so be careful with that. Only water it when the soil is completely dry. But if it's not a watering problem, it might had absorved some bad juju out there! keep your eyes peeled! sending lots of love!!
