Hello sweet friends, in today's artist in Paris diaries im taking you along for a day in my life living alone in Paris making some changes to my apartment! I have been missing my art studio so I am trying to create at home studio space in the mean time! It's spring in Paris so I thought we'd walk around my neighborhood and look for stuff at the antique shop. I also share an exciting announcement around my art business and new journal! I hope this video inspires you to expand and remember to follow the fun and adventure in achieving your dreams. I carry hate with me everyday, most of my hours. I hate when I step in poo, I hate haters, I hate misogyny, I hate political and religious lies. And for me it is the encompassing of my life to take on the matters of discomfort, not to be the screaming cheerleader on the sidelines that there is a problem, but to say that I have a solution. I suppose one could say I approach hate differently....or maybe not by the observational.... And there are even times in my life where I had to sit down and ask myself: I know that I strongly believe in this purpose that I have put myself on today, and I have sidelines much of my own life in truth seeking -- I am currently trying to make space to engage back in what makes me me to keep me foundational..... most importantly, if someone takes and chooses this road upon which I have, you have to really think to yourself… At the end of this… Will it matter to others long enough to remain to influence behavior not just thoughts.

some things i have used for a studio rug, calico its cheap, hard wearing and a nice neutral colour, also army surplus blankets, they make great rugs, pure wool and nice flecks of multi colour, these are my fav, I actually got the idea from a japanese artist who has them all over his home. Yes to the new journal!!! Love ya XX

Shayna I love this! Would you please consider making a version of the journal without lines? 🙏🙏🙏 sometimes I like to write in very large font or draw pictures instead of write or do both and the lines in journals are really restricting.

if you are still looking for a rug, they have a super cheap rug at ikea that you can put it the washing maschine and it is easy to fold and store. thrifted one would be definitely cooler but i have this one at home and it serves it's purpose while looking nice

An idea: the dropcloth, artist's dropcloth, it is like cotton or thick canvas. Hard to paint on as a canvas itself, but would make an interesting remnant.

Putting phone flat and looking down to get maximum watching experience in the beginning 😂 love a good bike ride, in cities it can be a bit scary especially during rush hours but when it’s calm it’s so nice. Your painting space will be lit whatever you do 💜

Congrats on the bike.. it WILL change your life! As for riding on the street, just take baby steps. It helps to have an experienced friend to ride with sometimes. Best way to get around a city!

Ahh I’m in love with the Perform journals! Though I’m wondering whether you would ever consider releasing them in a smaller size - perhaps A6 or pocket or passport. I am a huge fan of your artwork and would love to have it on my journal cover, but unfortunately the bigger notebooks really don’t work for my lifestyle and handwriting… 💔

Shayna I was just thinking of you! Over the weekend I stayed at a guest house built in 1884 where workers lived while they built the lighthouse nearby. I watched Mon Oncle and felt very French and silly
