The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza presented an interview with Elmer Boyd, a Dallas police homicide detective who conducted crime scene investigations at the Texas School Book Depository following the assassination. He also escorted Lee Harvey Oswald at Police Headquarters on the afternoon and evening of November 22, 1963. Moderator was Museum Associate Curator Stephen Fagin.
This presentation took place at the Museum on March 7, 2015 as part of the 2015 Living History Series. Interesting that he sat in with Secret Service planning for the visit. I'm sorry that then assistant curator, later the curator, didn't ask him whether the Secret Service asked about possible sniper posts along the parade route. I imagine most of the Secret Service must've been WWII veterans and well aware of the power and accuracy of combat rifles. More innocent times, I guess.

Right when Boyd says Curry told him at Parkland to go back to the TSBD "because we think that's where the shots came from" (?!so soon!?) the interviewer deflects the interview to irrelevancies, a constant problem with this guy.

Funny he never said if Oswald passed the paraffin test. I know they said they got no sign of gun powder on the check but got a reading on the hands, which most said would prove positive from the ink they used.

@@stddisclaimer8020 Yeah, yeah, yeah. They did a parrafine test on Oswald and it turned to be negative. And Oswald was ''presumed'' to have shot THREE times on the sixth floor and FOUR shots at Tippit 40 minutes later! That leaves gun powder on you SEVEN SHOTS in 40 minutes! Oswald did not take a 5 hours shower to get rid of that supposed gun powder! He was tested NEGATIVE, let him go... That is the purpose of a parrafine and polygraph test isn't it? Mr Boyd needs to read the book "Best Evidence". Then he would see exactly how badly the autopsy was performed at Bethesda. In fact a very much altered autopsy. If Mr. Boyd would read that book, perhaps he would change his mind about more than one shooter.

It is so neat see these real life witnesses from that tragic day. A very wonderful man. However, he is totally full of BS when he says there were no recorders in those days. There were recorders and I bet they had some in the Dallas police dept., in November of 1963. They probably were under orders not to record Oswald. They did not want to take a chance that Oswald might say something that would upset the applecart.

You mean the rotten apples in the apple cart. They want us to think James Bond is the only one with a recorder. Dallas had recording equipment. They had a recording room. They had recordings of police trans. There were newsmen all around with recording equipment. They didnt want a recording, and said not enough room for a stenographer. Bulls#t.
