The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza presented an interview with Jim Walker as a Living History education program, connected online via Distance Learning to students at Park Forest Middle School in State College, Pennsylvania. A mail sorter at the Terminal Annex building in Dealey Plaza in 1963, Walker photographed the presidential motorcade from the corner of Main and Market streets. On the afternoon of the assassination, he photographed the scene at Dealey Plaza and the Texas Theatre. Mr. Walker donated his images to The Sixth Floor Museum in 2006. The program was moderated by Curator Stephen Fagin.
This presentation took place at the Museum on December 16, 2016. To see related films, photos, documents and oral histories from The Sixth Floor Museum's collection, visit our online collections database (emuseum.jfk.org). Or make a research appointment to explore the books, DVDs and other materials available in the Museum's Reading Room (www.jfk.org/reading-room).

Of the many interviewed witnesses of that day Mr Walker still has a very clear memory of what he saw and felt .

I drive by the book depositary all the time so am fairly familiar with what Karen Westbrook Scanton was describing. Karen said 1. She was standing right next to the Stemmons freeway sign; 2. The shots she heard were from behind her (19:27). Go to googlemaps, find the sign and you will see what is directly behind it -- the grassy knoll! The building where she worked is way to the left of her. Today's sign is different from 1963 one but its located at the same spot.

Last question was the best question. Many interesting questions came out today as it is the Best episode of the series. Many beautiful pictures belong to this episode. I didn't find words to describe how I felt very happy watching this episode. Want to thank Stephen and Jim walker for their wonderful contribution.

Told me to shut up then deleted it? That's about right for your ilk. BTW, the museum is and always has been a WC apologist. They have some good people on here to interview but NEVER ask the tough questions when the opportunity presents itself. Now go ahead and Hit Me With Your Best Shot.

I deleted my comment out of respect for Mr. Walker. Rest assured your feelings didn't enter into my decision. It worked out anyway. By all means keep talking and showing us all how you figured out this crime using only the internet. Great job, Sherlock.

+Tony Wood Haha. Internet? When you get it wrong you really get it wrong. For over 30 years I've had the complete set of the Warren Commission volumes as well as the HSCA volumes. I've talked to quite a few witnesses including Dallas doctors as well as researchers from both sides of the issue. I've many documents in my possession that you have not even a clue of their existence. Yes, even been mentioned in some books. Does that make me a genius? Absolutely not but I sure have a clearer understanding of this case than you possibly could. You are usual and typical and you bore me. Now like the schoolyard bully that you are go and pick on somebody weaker than yourself. That might be a little difficult but I'm sure you can do it. Get well soon :-)

hello I am 37 years old and an enjoying your living history series. I became interested in the JFK assassination in high school bc Lee Harvey Oswald had attended my high school (Arlington Heights). It was also only a few years before my freshman year there that the JFK movie had come out with Kevin Costner. In watching this particular interview something occurred to me. I remember in the JFK movie that one of the lady witnesses (Mary Moorman or Jean Hill maybe?) said that they saw a man running in the opposite direction from the knoll, (and if I recall correctly some of the men witnesses also stated this in one of the books, possibly Jim Marr's Crossfire), and it occurred to me that the man they saw might have been Mr. Walker here. Of course we may never have a way of knowing now, but I just wanted to share my thought on here in case anyone else was interested.

@tallmn1957

I have to take issue with one belief he has, as many others state the very same conclusion proving no conspiracy. He says he agrees with Gary Mack that if there was a conspiracy that somebody would have talked by now. Many were saying that 10 years after the assassination. Now here is my rebuttal to that. We have a situation where an American president was shot down in cold blood. For those who would be involved in the planning and execution of this it would not be something you would be proud of the world knowing. I don't believe anybody would want their name to go down in history as being a part of this nor would they want their family's name to be connected to it. Not to mention being executed for murder if not for treason. There were a good many people who were involved with and knew about the hiding of the American Embassy workers in Iran in what they call the "Canadian Caper", or Argo. That secret was kept for 17 years without any leaks to the public or to the news media. This was a situation that would not have involved any trial or jail time or anybody's execution. Their family name would not be tarnished nor would they go down in history as being some evil psychopath. This was a situation that people would want to tell the story of and to celebrate. Yet not a whisper of what happened until the governments themselves decided to release the information. So between the two occurrences which one is more likely to have been leaked and discovered? I would be shocked if anybody involved in the assassination would in any way tell anybody and I mean anybody of their involvement. This point that no one has come forward to admit their involvement is probably the poorest example I can imagine of proof of no conspiracy.

@johnpersechini4951
@johnpersechini4951 3 года назад
Well it didn’t take long for Lincoln conspiracy to unravel. It would have likely been exposed if there was a conspiracy here. Not 100% but very likely. More importantly look at all the evidence that points to Oswald alone. He would have been found guilty for certain if he went to trial.

Hey Bob your theory is ridiculous how long did it take for Watergate to come out we talking about the govt.Also the impractibility of someone approaching somebody to even talk about an assassination is not feasible to me.
