I’ve been considering living out of my car. I’ve been struggling to pay rent each month and I never have any extra money. It would be so much easier to just live in my car, minimize my bills.
I'll say do it! Me and my boyfriend aka husby been doing it all summer and it's fun! Besides de 1000 dollars we were paying for rent we go travelling on my days off ! Because I have a full time job! We enjoy more nature 💖💖💖💖💖
Do it! I did. Money is nice. It takes time to get use to it. I had to adjust to eating canned food since I don't have a microwave. At first my food bill was through the roof. I feel better because I get out more to do things.

I’ve been living in my Prius since June 2018! I take breaks here and there when I’m housesitting but I like it so much better than renting for now. It’s so easy when I road trip. Kevin is niiiiice. Congrats!
Your drawings are awesome. You are very talented. Thank you for the tour of your Prius. I’m just finishing my van build. I hope to take a trip soon. Your setup is very nice.
smart move stephi the prius is a great car and should last you a long time! One thing i could recommend is a magnetic phone mount that plugs into the cd slot. they are great because they don't block your view of the road at all or get in the way. cheers
Stephi, I would like to add that I have travelled myself during my Naval Career. Which was from 1976 until 1979. As I have been to Southeast Asia. The countries which I have visited were the Phillipines, Singapore, Thailand,South Korea. And have saile along the coastlines of Djibouti. Which is in Africa. And sailed along Yemen and Oman. May Hod be with you and keep you in your travels. And I enjoy sharing with you the adventures of my life as a US Navy veteran. Byron Thomas
WHY CUZ SHES HOMELESS IN A CAR....jk yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa shes more energetic than normal im so happy for her live love it lights camera action
I am an old guy but I think you are SO inspirational! I could only pray my daughters have the attitude you have! I love your videos and sometimes I would wish you were my daughter!
I lived in my 07 Honda Fit for a year. I’m pretty impressed with myself. I made into a cute tinytinyroom. Then I moved too a tiny tiny house now I’m renting in a house. It’s been a decade since I’ve had a place-place. 😅♥️
Stephi, great to see this. Happy you got another car....and hope you take many many road trips. You remind me a bit of Jack Keroauc..and he loved to travel. big hugs and Happy Thanksgiivng coming up! love the car.
5’8”, huh! There is no reason to be cold in a Prius, you could run it all night, and it would burn less then a gallon of gas! You can connect an inverter to the starter battery on the passenger side, in the back and run most anything in that car, I have a 2000 watt in my car!
@@SaraFJones I have tinted windows in my Toyota sienna and with simple black plastic tablecloth that you can get from Dollar tree no one can see inside at all. Then I feel cozy and stealth. Looks like soccer mom car lol
Yall a car with fold down seats where you can put a bed is ESSENTIAL, I did have a Mercury Cougar that was spacious enough back there but when I got a PRIUS i dont ever want a difft car. this is the one. cant imagine going back to paying for all that gas constantly i would never be able to afford it. you can often get them for a few thou too so its super affordable and a wise choice. :) my car and my dog feel more like my home- my actual house is just where i keep the rest of my stuff.!
This is awesome, I just bought a prius a couple of weeks ago and have enjoyed it so far! You seem like such a chill person wish I could find friends like you to adventure with!
It’s so nice to see a video from you again👍👍👍 I’m 5’8” too, can’t wait to see your next adventures, take care of yourself, sending you lots of love❤️❤️❤️❤️
When you said "this is kevin" I'm looking around waiting for a dog named Kevin or a person lol yep I smoked too much nice little setup you got there I subbed your drawing skills are 💣 I love to draw as well take care stay safe and have fun on your adventure in life
The hubby and I just got a cheap Rv and got it fixed up and threw out all our belongings to travel! Hope to someday cross paths with your lovely soul on our adventures. 💞
this is so random but i always thought you'd be shorter (tall girls for the win!!) also thank you for showing us your car! i was so curious, it looks awesome! have fun :)
Night time...depends on the season, I’ve been living out of my Scion xB for...ehh I wanna say about a year now and it depends on how your body holds it’s heat but, say summer time you’d crack your windows, Stephi’s sleeping in her “trunk” so it looks like she balls herself up but me on the other hand I scoot my seat all the way back (driver side), tilt the steering wheel up, lay it back and sleep on my stomach. Your headrest is your pillow unless you want to take or buy a small pillow from Walmart and use that, cover up lightly and boom. Winter however, no matter what you do it’s going to be rough... Of course the windows are up but I found that buying a sleeping bag (0-20 degrees) is perfect, blast your heater until you can’t stand the heat anymore and cover up heavily. I also found on RU-vid a man bought some foam boards from Lowe’s with seems to be what windshield covers have, that aluminum stuff on one side and black on the other, cut them to fit your windows but make sure to cut them a hair bigger so that they stay in place. Everything else you can use at stores like food, drinks, bathroom. Showers can be difficult but you can also use a gym membership or sponge bathe in a sink at a laundry mat late at night when no ones around. If you do start to live out of your car, good luck!! Be safe and stay comfortable!! P.s. lock your doors.
I forgot to mention your main point, I apologize. Depending on the place you’re at, rest areas, parks (that’s where I sleep.), Walmart. Some places in the woods close to roads that have a little pull off spot. Sleep at an area once or twice to see if anyone says anything, I’ve heard for us to move to different places. Some on the other hand stay in one spot that way the people around (yes it can be embarrassing) will get used to you being there. Try different spots to find where YOU think feels comfortable.
Sounds very uncomfortable. By the time you get my age you are going to feel all those nights spent sleeping in a chair. Living in a car is not ideal. Unless you enjoy being homeless. Lots of drug addicts and bums don't seem to mind the lifestyle. Most homeless are this way by choice.
Suzanne Hedderly they get patrolled because a lot of people want to vandalize or get high there. If they knock on your windows just tell them your situation and they may leave you alone and tell you to be safe and stay warm. That’s what they did to me. If you want, if you find an officer that patrols that area, ask him/her if it’s alright if you can park and sleep there. That’s what I did and they told me as long as I don’t harm the place I should be good cause parks are a public place. I don’t know about your area but people like to walk or jog at night where I am.
In case you didn’t know , if you set the ac/heat at temp and turn car on it will run off the big battery and if gets low will start up and charge battery back up. You can also tap off 12v battery and run an electric blanket. Again the big battery will keep the 12v battery charged and car will restart if big battery gets to low. There is a guy Prius camper on RU-vid that has lots of good tips. Just a suggestion in case you didn’t know.
❤❤❤ great video! Be careful with your charger hanging across your steering wheel ... I had a landyard that got wrapped into my steering wheel and I couldn't steer and almost crashed. Things can get wrapped up quick so be careful
I went on a month roadtrip around the country andnlived out of my jeep renegade. If I was parked in apublic area to sleep like a Walmart or rest stop I always used my window cover (for like keeping it from getting hot) for the front and used blankets and towel in the windows. So i would like roll down the window and inch and stuff the edge of a blanket and roll it up. It was really east to do. But usually I was parked somewhere like in a national park or camping so I didn't have to do that too often. One thing she didn't have was food so if you plan on extended living I recomend going to target or walmart and they 3 drawer plastic things to store all of your canned food and utensils. And also a portable water boiler. Idk what it's actually called but basically you plug it in and load it with water and it heats it to make coffeee, water for ramen, heating soups etc. The other thing is a large container for water. It's so much cheaper as most camping areas provide spouts with clean drinking water you can fill it up at. Just make sure to tie it all down to one side of the car so everything doesn't fall ontop of your bed area.
The spot in the trunk is a cool storage spot for your clothes. You are an artist! You have major talent! I love your sketches. Love how organized you are. Hugs
Do you idle it all night. Heat AC? Any worry of Carbon Monoxide. I would tint the windows more and get some vent visors for the windows so you can crack them in the rain. Vent visors with a screen so bugs cant make it in. LOL
Hello Stephi hope your feeling well. Just a small fyi a micromesh nebulizer by "Omron" takes two AA batteries have one extra set of batteries on hand for a backup spare and it works Great!. Happy travels and a void those polluted air quality places ok. Take Care & I enjoy your art.
5'8" ???? What?? I'm the same height. Not sure why I always thought you were shorter. You hang with tall people I guess. Hahahaha. You're sounding and looking so good today. Much love from Canada, eh!
I have a 2007 toyota prius and am planning to convert it into a weekend camper. What are you doing for Wifi in remote places with little to no phone service? I want to get work done in my laptop while on the road.
taylor pontzious those were two separate points unrelated to one another but thanks for your unnecessarily aggressive response to something that had nothing to do with you 👍🏼 Also it’s PISCES not pieces.
This was the first video of your's I've seen, and it led me to subscribe and watch several others. You are an impressive young woman; brave, daring, talented and true to yourself and others. I look forward to seeing more of your adventures... hopefully for a very long time.
Cool setup! Beautiful drawings you are very talented! Be safe. life is better when it is small and you don’t spend too much time managing stuff. Good job living life
1066Rider your tight but that’s why you start as an apprentice so you can learn the contours of the body. Pretty much every tattoo artist has some sort of art background history. It’s not like the old days where tattoos where all simply and stencil drawing.
Stephi ..I'm sure u get a bazillion comments. But..this one I hope u read. Just wanna thank u for your authenticity...I'm decades older than u and I love when u upload new vids...makes my day EVERY SINGLE TIME...your mama would be SO PROUD of the genuine person u have become...(I have a daughter your age ;) happy Thursday sweetheart!
Yay a new Stephi video!! So happy to see you livin the life and doing well. Gotta tell you living in Kevin the car, traveling & drawing. It’s my thing I envy you!
