So super!! Loved this video! Greg is an interesting guy and I hope he has fun on his journey! We just bought a Rockwood 2012 ALine trailer. Hope to take her on her maiden voyage next week.

I like your STYLE!! I'm 59, single, looking for an a-framer here in Nebraska this weekend. Not real close to any family, so for me, until my spine finally gives out, I'm gonna take things as they come to me! All the best to you and your life memories to come!

My husband passed, we had one just like it. I sold the house in PA. then lived in it for the next 5 years. . It is great but hard to be warm or cold enough.

Looks like perfect living accommodations for a single person! I'm now looking at these instead of teardrop trailers due to the higher roof. I'm 6'3" so I think I probably could almost stand all the way up in there!

Greg is cool. I keep trying to remind myself that time is of the essence, and that I shouldn't wait for everything to be perfect before I get out there and travel, but I just seem to fall right back into the rat race on Monday morning. Oh well. By the way, you are a really good interviewer. You do a great job with these episodes. 😃

Follow The Hearts I had a huge Class A RV and during a cold winter I could not live in it. I ran out of propane tank in one week, just using it for heat alone and not when I was out during the day. Back then that was $40, but it's probably a lot more than that now. I gave it up in areas like Colorado, or Virginia, it was impossible to stay warm. California would be fine, but any cold areas like the mountains or Northern, Cali would need a wood stove.

Living full time. .. Boon docking .. Full time in my 1995 20 foot class c ford econoline e350 .. I NEEDED to fix the on board onan generator for my microwave / air cond. (rarely used cuz I live in denver with low humidity and I have a great fantastic vent to move air through) as well as install 2 - 100 watt solar panels to power led lights, tv, furnace/cooking fans, fantastic vent, and h20 pump. I needed the shower and toilet as well .. I don't mind the maintenance .. It's my house ... On wheels :)

This is great. He still has his house, a home where he stays half the year. So he isn't really a full-timer, he's a part-timer, a vacationer. And for those who wonder about the toilet and the bath, they make these with either just a cassette toilet which is very convenient or with a wet bath which includes a toilet in the shower. It's just the model he has does not have either. Check out the Forest River Rockwood A214HW And I love the dog!!

Have you been happy with your Rockwood? I keep hearing the A frames tend to leak but it has mostly been Aliner brand in particular.
@ApastronRetro
@ApastronRetro 7 лет назад
Yes, No leaks and it has been monsoon rain. It is less likely to leak than a traditional RV for two reasons. 1 the roof is sloped so rain runs off faster and does not build up causing rot. 2 in the winter we store ours inside a garage because it is able to fold up. If we need to do a repair it is very easy to as the roof is only 5ft off the ground when folded up. I did undercoat the bottom of it with flex seal because the wood is exposed. No issues yet.

Chech the cover. It is waterproof and lets the water go off to the side. Do you really think the builders did not deal with that - or are you a curmudgeonly troll, malfeasaeancy person? Get serious about ht]]this concern

Interesting fellow. I could relate to much of what he said AND his situation. I am also alone except I have two dogs...a Scotty/Yorkie and a Weimaraner. I have a 24 Foot Class C and I like everything but the bed. In the future I will go for a bed I can walk around. I like to throw my legs off the side of the bed and sit. Mine is in a corner with the Shower and Toilet on the other side of the wall so I have to scoot out of it.
