Are you considering moving to Beacon Hill? Are you trying to figure out which one of the Boston neighborhoods is best for you?
This video will provide pros and considerations of living in the Boston neighborhood of Beacon Hill.
Living in Beacon Hill has some massive positives. The central location spectacular. You are close to the Boston Common and public transit. The neighborhood has the charm and history that is matched by few, if any, American cities. However, if you are moving to Beacon Hill, you may want to consider ditching your car, and if you do get rid of your car, you need to be aware you could be walking up and down a hill every day!
Please let me know in the comments if you have any questions about living in Beacon Hill. Additionally, if you also live in Boston, please let me know if I missed any important aspects of this neighborhood.

You didn’t mention the centipedes in the old buildings with dark basements: 🤢 Also, compared to what I’m familiar with, the rent range mentioned is on the low end. And don’t forget that many apartments are walk ups (no elevator). Still, it’s a great place to live.

My apartment in beacon hill is 2600/mth for a 2 bed room. Really small though. Good place and all. Just tiny.

So if you don’t drive a car, it seems like half of the negatives don’t apply. That’s something to consider 🤔

Yes, my sentiments exactly: no need for a car….saves a ton of grief & money. And if you want to head outside of Boston &/or take a day trip, rent a car for the greatest flexibility. Problem solved.😊

I’m not familiar with the details, but here is some info on Boston.gov that may be able to help answer that question: www.boston.gov/departments/age-strong-commission/housing-support-older-people
