I used to work for a private shared patrol that included The Oaks and the nearby communities except Vista Pointe. Let me tell you that going into The Oaks was like a special treat! Such beautiful architecture and the views. Great video btw
you should do more of these! compare bel air to hidden hills etc .. oooh a good one would be to compare holmby hills to bel air even know they’re basically attached to each other in some way
I grew up in HH....I remember back in the early 80s. I was riding my horse on a trail next to one home and a full on hardcore porn movie was being filmed...as a 12yr old...It was eye opening.......just crazy. lol..... I have to agree....I never thought oh yeah. where we live was rich...My parents worked their asses off. But, we never lived a flamboyant lifestyle. I had to clean stalls and clean pools as a kid and I didnt get paid for it.
There’s a lot of wealthy people who lives in Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estate. So there’s some celebrities who lives in those cities. It’s not only Hidden Hills or The Oaks or Calabasas have rich and wealthy people lives there in the South Bay Area.
I had the privalage of living in South Orange County for 10+ yrs. The area I loved was Coto de Casa and Dove Canyon. You ever think of doing a show about these 2 great communities?
Athletes and celebrities lived in Hidden Hills long before the Kardashian's came along and polluted it. Bruce Jenner or whatever her name is, also lives there. I worked on Roy Disney's (Walt's brother) 13,000 square foot farmhouse back in the early 90's there that was absolutely charming. I remember Priscilla Presley lived there at the time. I think her ranch style house has since been torn down with a larger McMansion taking it's place. Canadian hockey player Russ Fortaneau lived there as did the Kings former GM Dave Kasper. And so many more. It's a cool little hamlet snuggled between Calabasas and Woodland Hills.
Priscilla's house was bought by kim kardashian and kanye west, they did a huge renovation on the property. It was not torn down. The kardashians made the area famous and prices just went up...
Around the 2:30 mark, when says of Not thinking this neighborhood as anything special, i am born and raised in Newark NJ (Ghetto) but later in life when i started working, i worked about a year in SHORT HILLS (🤑💰💰💰) and riding passed the Really REALLY nice homes, it just became normal and so after a while i didn't think nothing of it 😐 ,JUST ANOTHER DAY OF WORK 😑
Hidden Hills is were you go to live if you can NOT afford Beverly Hills, Bel Air, or Holmby Hill! It’s WAY cheaper because it’s an hour drive back to Culver City or downtown LA or the platinum triangle.
I was lucky to get it inside the 2nd gate of the oaks. Those homes definitely were huge and felt like I shouldn’t be there even though I got the permission…it was insane. I been to hidden hills also. Out of the two I think the oaks it a lot more private(after the 2nd gate) then hidden hills
