Thanks Blondie. I'm recently retired Navy, moving to Mexico City in 2 weeks! I plan to spend 2 months in CDMX, walking the parks and historic areas, losing 20 pounds gained during 18 months of Covid laziness. BUT I have my eye on living long-term in Mazatlan. "Less touristy than Vallarta" and I like the mix of the long malicon beach walk and the colonial historic centro district. I'll spend the month of October in Mazatlan as a trial run. (the budget stay version, only a small navy pension, haha) I grew up in San Diego, so hablo poco espanol. I spent lots of time in Baja as a younger dude. Your video is very good and informative , good job. I just find it amazing that people pay pay that much to live on that side of town and miss the whole Mexican experience. The most I ever paid in zona dorada was 4,500 pesos ( not dollars) for a furnished one bedroom. I moved to the middle of the city and pay that for a huge 3 bedroom 2 bath house and have rented out by the soccer stadium for as low as 1,200 pesos a month for a small one bedroom house. Those numbers in sabalo and Cerritos are on the moon for a city in Sinaloa with a tiny expat community and extremely low salaries. Very professional video , I enjoyed watching.
La Marina Tennis and Yacht club condos are mostly owned by Americans and Canadians and many are for rent. You will likely pay in the $1400 to $1700 US per month on the shady side and a bit more, $2300 on the sunny pool side for a one bedroom. This is if you are staying for 3 to 5 months. One month rent would be more and if only a week, then a lot more. You will need to buy water jugs in the lobby store for drinking water. There is a great restaurant on the second floor with the best steaks on Wednesday night. You need to call ahead for reservations for steak night the day before as Oscar gets just the amount of steaks needed. Also great breakfast meals. Also a friendly little bar at the lobby area. Sometimes free live music put on by people staying there. This info is from my memory from 2019 before Covid. I will not be offended if others have more up to date info.
Just wondering, are you available for "relocation guide" service? I am fully retired and planning a trip to Mazatlan in March 2023 in hopes of moving there full time. Wondering if you can help me find/direct me to a BnB or hotel with a good monthly (instead of daily) rate for March. Also some guidance on which neighborhoods are safe for expats. I plan on coming down in March, returning to the states in April to get everything squared away and returning in June to look for a year-long lease on an 1 or 2 br. apartment or house. Also be great to talk with someone that can go over step by step on obtaining temporary residence. If that all is not of interest to you, can you recommend someone local to help me when I come down in March?
The wife wants to know, is the plumbing modern? That is, is there a basket next to the toilet for the TP? Big thing for her. (We have been to Mexico several times.)

Hi you can take bus down, and maybe get an airbnb until you decide what area you would like to be in. I can always help with finding an apartment. I have been here 3 years and feel safe and love being so close to the beach

@@jimmyhi1730 so the luxury condo is rented in USD so they are asking $2400USD. The Budget friendly rental is rented in pesos at $8500 which is approximately $425. But was listed at $9000 which is approximately $450 (was negotiated for a long term lease) THANK YOU for supporting and watching my videos. It’s always greatly appreciated ❤️

Not unheard of. That price exists. Sometimes a little less if you're long term and are covering your own utilities. But, you might be in Centro which is quite nice. I like anything around the Freeman, not far from the Plazuela.
This video is misleading with regard to rent prices. If you're coming to live in Mazatlán for a while, you can find places for $200 USD and less per month that are located 15-minutes from the beach.

@@mikecrook8434 I am showing 2 options. Not here’s the most expensive and here’s the cheapest. But these are the average for low end and high on in a tourist area near the beach. Which is the point of it.
That doesn't look very luxury to me...looks pretty barren and empty. I'd not be comfortable in that minimalistic environment...especially for $2400 a month!!! An Ocean-Front view isn't that valuable to me...I can drive to the ocean and look at it for free!!
This building is considered a luxury building. But we all like what we like. I personally think less is more in a home. Clutter or too much can be overly for me. This building has massage rooms, beautiful areas to relax, a very nice locker room with steam and sauna and much more. All the details needed for a luxury condo
@@BlondieinMexico You're right...we all like what we like...but perception and definition play into that truth. I don't "PERCEIVE" or "DEFINE" this as luxury. Some guy in an ivory tower defined it as such, sold you on his definition, and tada!! You live in luxury, defined by some corporate entity, which is your right to do so. Just remember, everyone "DEFINES" things according to their own perception. In my world, luxury is a hand hewn log cabin with all manner of rustic textures and colors; things to look at and the woods to explore. There's a stream for bathing and a trail for hiking; birds singing, and perhaps a coyote howling. The grass is a soft carpet of variegated greens and yellows; the canopy of leaves turns colors every season. The Out Doors is more luxurious than any indoor spa with an empty ambiance...but that's MY PERCEPTION AND DEFINITION. Oh, and it's only $500 a month. Enjoy your digs.
