Something that shocked me about Minneapolis streets is how narrow some of them are especially the residential ones when cars are parked on them.

And, with some of the bike lanes, it's worse. They just put some on Minnehaha Parkway and it was already tight.

i wonder if you'd think our merge lanes are short too? we use stop lights at a lot of our on ramps to mitigate traffic, so that help!

that's very common here too - it's really trying to get OFF the freeway at an exit or when you've made it past the meter light merging onto the freeway - it's insane! And people aren't gung ho about making space... 😩 Thanks for watching. :)

Lake Nokomis on the Parkway. Pros; spot on. Cons; I see it, but doesn't bother me. Also, transplant; 20 years from Southeast.

Where did you come from? I lived in Atlanta for about 8 years before I moved to Chicago (and then here). Quality of life here is great compared to most places I've lived.

@@MarySchumann Horn Lake, Ms.; Murfeesboro, Tn., college; Duluth, Ga.; Moundsville, WV.; Iola, Ks., Duluth, Mn.; Maplewood & Minneapolis. Was in Ocean Springs, Ms. for a year between Maplewood & Minneapolis, but came back.

i worked 25 years in North Minneapolis ,off West Broadway and 94 , never do it again .... the neighborhoods are dirty, the people are rude, the crime is high...AND THAT'S DURING THE DAY... AT NIGHT ON A WEEKEND FORGET IT, YOU BETTER HAVE A LICENSE TO CARRY ...

@@stevennicholson4399 Oh! I was assuming you meant like Rochester or south - Northfield is such a pretty town and Lakeville has really nice huge lots & good schools (if you have kids). I may have to do a Northfield video... it's so charming,
