This Video made me home sick for the 4 years we lived in Biloxi Mississippi . I was an Air Traffic Control Instructor at the Kessler AFB . OFF DUTY , I just about lived on the Gulf water . I spent a lot of time fishing around Ship Island ; about 12 miles out . There's a civil war Fort out there . They do boat tours to the Fort . I had a civilian co worker that had a potato donut shop in Ocean Springs .!! The donuts were delicious . I lived in North Biloxi . I moved to Boise Idaho to retire from the Air Force .. I like the mountains ,BUT I MISS THE GULF AND THE FRIENDLY PEOPLE . I moved to Boise the Christmas of 1979 . I'm now 80 years old and to late to move back to the FRIENDLY SOUTH ... I Love your Sparkly , HAPPY VIDEOS and the LOVE You have for Chase .!!!💘🐕🎶 .. Always looking forward to the next Video .. Later . 👍😄😇💘
Hi Larry! I was stationed at Keesler from 84-86. I was an STA in "The Triangle"... the only female in my squadron. I met my husband when we were both in Guam. He left the AF and worked at Stennis when I was at Keesler. He was originally from New Orleans and most of his family moved to Bay St Louis. We lived in Pass Christian on a bayou, and stayed there when my enlistment ended. We had a sailboat and loved living on the Coast for 10 years. Now I live in Wisconsin. Cheers!
@@joemtnclimber793 Sorry ::: I left their December 1979 .. I can't remember the name . He sure made DELICIOUS donuts !!! potato based .. I could sure like a dozen .. If you have his address , I'd appreciate it .. He has probably passed on . Must be Family run now . Thanks 👍
so tickled watching you get setup to put Chase in the stroller. I wonder how many people see you go thru the process of setting up the stroller, then reach in the car and instead of a kid, it's Chase! It made me smile!🙃
Hey, just so you know, whenever I see one of your videos it brightens my day. Never stop doing what you love. Life on the road can get gloomy more often than not. I prefer to make the best of it.
Woke up this morning to this recommendation, and I have to say I’m very glad it was. I’ve lived in Ocean Springs for almost 20 years and counting. It’s a beautiful place with more people moving here all the time!! The city is even trying to widen the roads somehow due to the influx of newcomers 😅. I love how you captured the essence of the city and even added some historical points about it!! I’m sure Mr. Chase loved every bit as well!! The downtown market I believe is only there on some to possibly most weekends, so you came at the right time!! I hope you enjoyed your time here, and with everything still changing, I’m sure there will be more adventures for you and Chase the next time you both are here!! Safe travels!! 🙏🏼
Hi Christine! I thoroughly enjoy your vlogs and for giving us history lessons of all the places you travel. It is so sweet to see how you care for beautiful Chase. He is so fortunate to have you! Thanks for taking us along on your journeys!
I'm glad you managed to swing by while the boat was stuck on the beach. It's been a hilarious landmark/tourist attraction for us until the city finally got rid of it. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in our little town. Swing by back in October for Cruising the Coast of you're at all into vintage cars.
What a coincidence this came up on my for you page. I also live in ms, I was born in Biloxi and currently live in Gulfport. This is some good insight into car living as well. I lived in my car for two months back in November
You are absolutely a real, real person out on her own enjoying life at its fullest 💟. You are absolutely amazing. ❤and I ain't kidding. God bless you on how you make the Best of life, with your beautiful dog 🐕💟 from a 🇺🇲🇮🇹 subscriber.❤you little 😇.
Loved 💕seeing Ocean Springs again. Was there decades ago and remembered how peaceful and beautiful it was. Bought some beautiful pottery there. Could tell that you and Chase really enjoyed your time there. Envious of the yummy shrimp 🦐 meal. Continue to enjoy your travels and stay safe.
Hey Christine, glad you enjoyed ocean springs. Next time you come back, there is a really good jerky stand at the Saturday market (my personal favorites are the cowboy, Buffalo, and original). There is also a National park that is pretty nice.
I am from the Gulf Coast area and it runs from Ocean Springs to Bay St. Louis MS traveling down Hwy 90. There is a lot of history along the Gulf Coast, along with some nice areas car camp. There are some areas along the beach where you can have a fire on the beach.. There is always some local event going on in one of the towns along the beach. Enjoy your stay!
Shiii I live in Gautier. I’ve gone to oceans springs many mannnyyy times and some of the stuff in the video I never even knew they had. Love your channel
I live in Ocean springs. Grew up here. I sometimes forget what a treasure we have, usually because the heat and humidity😂. Thank you for the video, and God bless.
I wish I had known you were headed to Mississippi. I would have come to OS a met up with you. Welcome to my state. I hope you enjoyed it. Maybe next time.
Great video. My husband grew up in Ocean Springs, and it’s a really cute place with some neat things to do. I grew up in Natchez….north of New Orleans on the MS River. You should check it out if you get a chance. It has lots of Antebellum homes with amazing architecture and of course a lot of history from days gone by. Don’t think I could live MS again, but I sure do enjoy going back for an occasional visit. I live in the Rocky Mountains now and honestly that’s hard to beat!!!Your dog is adorable, and he’s lucky to have such a loving dog mom. Safe travels. 😀
Thank you again for the video! I used to have two knives, similar to yours - Rapala filleting knives. Unfortunately, both have broken after years of usage. Very effective and useful form of knife.
You always seem to have the beach to yourself. I just got back from Galveston Island and no matter what time I went someone was there. And to make things worse my dog got an ear infection from the gulf 😢. Keep up the awesome videos!!
Nice trip to Ocean Springs, MS, never been, until now, thanks for the tour, liked your video, I will have to watch some other video's you have created soon. Thanks for taking the time ; ) 🙂 Cheers ; )
Wow you just popped up on my feed. We live in D'Iberville,Ms. Just down the road from Ocean Springs. We love it down here. Grew up in the Gulfport area and the New Orleans area where i was born. The coast is much better in my opinion. It was the perfect place to bring my new wife when we moved back from the Philippines. Great people and culture, with quite nice Asian comunity as well😁👍❤️ !!!
I've lived two miles from downtown Ocean Springs for over 20 years. It's a great place to live. That whole area of Front Beach is dog friendly, by the way.
Your channel came up in my feed.. chase is a cutie pie and looks like he's living his best doggie life... looking through your previous videos.. looks like you were traveling in a Ford transit connect... if you don't mind me asking what happened to it? I've been winter vanlifing Florida in my 2013 FTC since October 2022 and loving the lifestyle.... Thanks for sharing..
Hi Michelle! With Chase being blind the van did not make sense for him. He would have bumped his face into the many corners. I do prefer the stealth aspect of my SUV as well. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😃🙏🏼
I mean no disrespect when I say this, but how is it that you can eat the way you do and not gain a ton of weight? I enjoy your videos so much and the way you travel is awesome I am 76 yo and am going to start traveling in September. You have inspired me to do the same sort of traveling.
Noice, If you get to Orange, TX, or PORT ARTHUR, TX. Go to the Janis Joplin Museum.... Think it still exists, went there before Covid. Grab a Daiquiri in Louisiana ;-)
Love how your videos are educational! Thank you! Hope your travels continue! Do you live out of our vehicle 100% of the time? What is your vocation? Just found you! Chase is a sweet companion!
I stay with family a lot too so that I can spend time with them and get a break from the road 🙃 I do some food delivery on the road and am pursuing RU-vid as a vocation. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😃🙏🏼
Hello from the Philippines ! New subscirber here. binge watching your videos. They are great. Chase really enjoyed the cupcake :-) does chase prefer the stroller over the leash when you take long walks? what a lucky dog, able to travel with you.
Hello from across the globe! 👋🏼🌎 I try to walk him on the lease until he gets tired. I want him to have as much exercise as possible but when he doesn't feel like walking anymore he is like a statue lol Thanks for watching! 😃🙏🏼
Oh wow, you are in my neck of the woods, I live on the Gulf Coast area. Hope you enjoy your time down here on the coast. Lots and lots of nice places to visit. How long are you going to be down in this area?
I made an error uploading so some of the recent videos are capped at 720. It won't be an issue going forward. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
Lovely video. Do you ever miss the van & I know you had reasons why you sold it but I'm just curious. Also I have a Chevy Equinox & it is my favorite car of all time.
Unfortunately, I do not have a system for finding them. It is kinda rare. You just have to look around each park when you are there. Thanks for watching! 😃
I almost never count on just driving around. I use the popular apps and have a list of backups like 24 hour gyms, car pool lots, etc. Thanks for watching! 😃
@Chistine Meachum Also CHASE has got to have his Treats, Snacks, and Meals cut down to baby bite size, Nibbles or Kibbles. Or he will be like Me and try to Engulf a Burrito, and almost die choking like the goofball I am, Mom's not here to cut your Burrito up. (Mom's alive just wasn't at that incident) My dog eat's the same as Me, "Thanks that was delicious... what's next?" Did you just eat 5 slices of Pizza during Half-Time? Umm... yes... I think I did 🙂
@@ChristineMeachum How random. Was downstairs watching your video about converting your SUV then a few minutes later run upstairs to my office and see you "hearted' this comment. ha!
You don't look wierd, as you said in the video. You're selfying a camera showing that you live life how you want to, while most people are selfying a camera for the gram and facebook covering up the life they don't want to live.
I saw your short clip and it interested me so I've subscribed I love helping channels like yours grow as you clearly have talent in video editing and loving life of course a dog lover like my wife and me but sadly both have passed away millie was a dalmation of 13 years passed away at the vets but maggie a wet highland terrier lived on until 15 years old and passed away in my arms breaking my heart tears still well up when I think about like now typing this but I know it will pass but loving them will never stop we will be getting another dog we always pick females as I find them easer to train they become our children we are looking at a cocker spaniel bitch not quite yet it takes a good time to get over the loss we have has two dogs previous the first was when we got married as I worked late in my job so I got my wife a springer liver and white spaniel called jenny she lived for seventeen years and died in my arms with the vet present as she was in distress he put her to sleep and even he was crying as I was talking to her as she went to sleep saying I lover and hear I go again tears wellin up anyway we then had a red setter called cassie she was from a show ground pedigree but was very scatty I manged to train her it took a lot longer but patience prevailed and she gained her trust and ours she passed away at 8 years old as she had stomach cancer while we were on holiday abroad she was staying at my parents so my farther sealed with all the details and was with her white she was put to sleep so this dog we get will be the last one as I am 61 now still fit enough to train her and take her out for a run as we have fields at the back of our house so no need required just dog mess bags which we always use I am at home al day being disabled with a back injury and dogs make me want to go out even when I don't feel like it as they know when its time to go out and will bug me until i relent as i have a weakness for there faces staring at me and when i say oh ok then they jump with joy puts a smile on ,y face and i love training them i never smack or hurt my dogs i gain trust and love and i can tell they love me and my wife as much as i love them sorry to bore you it was a great video looking forward for some more will watch your old ones now so that i can catch up on your travels.I live in a town called Rugby in the UK the home of rugby football at rugby school where it was invented by william webb ellis who picked the ball up and ran with it look it up your football game originated from the game of rugby my wife an I have just celebrated a 40th anniversary and I love her more than ever oh and if your wondering what car that is in my photo it's an electric car from Vauxhall which was owned by GM now salentis its called a Mokka yes its named after a coffee lol but I do love it I have saved so much money on gas or petrol as we call it so peace and love Christine speak to you soon.so all the best from me John from Rugby UK.

Howdy neighbor! I'm in Biloxi and have been looking into this way of life recently... thank you so much for your inspiration and tricks of the trade! Hope to see you around sometime! Sending light and positive vibes your way!
Hi Christine, thank you for the insight into Ocean Springs. Considering relocating there and your video reinforced my desire to. Also had a border collie named Gracie when my wife and I lived in Oceanside CA. Recently widowed and I could almost smell the ocean through my computer screen. The memories are what we cherish on our way out. Continue your adventure, I'm working my way back to that.
Brian I lived in Ocean Springs prior to during and after hurricane Katrina. I loved it although finding decent work to accommodate the cost of living unless you have something career wise you can take with you or find similar there is a challenge. Not that income and cost of living is any different anywhere these days!! I’ve lived all over the US traveling with work prior to Katrina and then again being hired on and contracted with some investors to manage their properties in the Virgin Islands then Covid. Either way indeed Ocean Springs has I’ve heard boomed the past 10yrs though I suggest also looking into Georgia as the price of real estate is lower and comparable pay to the west coast is something rare these days. Just a thought. 😊
Sigh… what a way to kick things off with a new vlog and Mississippi did not disappoint me and hopefully you can visit Tupelo where Elvis was born and great job on the vlog Christine 👍🏻 P.S I did a vlog too in Malibu CA to celebrate my moms birthday who came from Michigan but when you get a chance feel free to watch it
